Everything in the hotel seemed outdated. The location is great if you are traveling through Long Beach Airport, but nothing in the hotel was nice, with the exception of the bed, which was very comfortable. However, even that was minimized by lumpy, uncomfortable pillows. There are better options available for the price.

We stayed here since I had a free night to use, and it was right next to the Long Beach airport, which we were going to fly out of the next morning. The staff that helped us check in were helpful and really friendly, especially for having it be so close to Christmas and being at work. The room was cool. The front door was a little small, but we didn't […] have anything big going into the room besides me so we were fine. Cool little balcony overlooking the pool and the 405. There is a penthouse bar that does room service. The pizza from the bar/restaurant was really good. Pricey, but good. The bed was comfy and everything looked. smelled, and felt clean. Bathroom and vanity with sink were both clean and stocked with towels. My complaints: The bathroom was super small. Like open the door, step into the tub(almost), then you can physically shut the door. Also, there was no divider between the vanity/sink area to keep the light out of the bedroom while its dark in the morning. I know its minor, but the bathroom and the bedroom should be separate. One more thing. The sliding glass door was a little drafty, despite the heavy curtains attempting to kill the draft,and closing it as far as it would go. The wife gets cold easy, and she said she felt a very, very slight breeze. Overall: Cool staff, helpful, friendly,knew their stuff. Nice room. Clean, spacious(besides bathroom), and all around good room. I would recommend it for a flight out of Long Beach. It's close to lots of food places,easy to get to, and the airport is really easy to find from the hotel. Never heard freeway noise, and the wife is a light sleeper so it was a winner. Mehr

The room was spacious with very modern furnishings. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was very small & shower was narrow. Even though we were across from the elevator it was fairly quiet, although there was a lot of street traffic. Plenty of lighted parking. Internet access was limited.

Great hotel n shuttle was great service. And friendly staff

The hotel has a friendly and helpful staff with excellent shuttle service to the LGB airport (very close by). The hotel has been refurbished and the room treatments and amenities are modern. If you don't want to frequent the hotel's top floor and expensive bar then it's a long walk to the nearest restaurant or bar. Excellent view of the end of the runway […] and I-405 from my room 609. we got executive bed room which was quite nice. bed was comfortable, though bathroom was quite small. Service was good, free parking and free internet were a good service that hotel provides. Location is good, close to long beach's main eatouts and nice beach nearby. Also close to the catalina landing's long beach departure spot for those who wants […] to enjoy the island. Mehr

We've stayed there previously. As before, the place was clean and the bed was comfortable. There is no towel rack in the sink area, only in the bathroom. That is an inconvenience. It's a nice hotel, not a great hotel, but is very convenient if you're flying out of Long Beach Airport.

This hotel was alright, very close to the airport and definitely clean. The room we stayed in looked nothing like the pictures shown, it was kind of shabby with a half broken tv (no flat screen like in the photos). Also- the bath tub wouldn't let me use hot water- it only went to lukewarm. I couldn't get the heater in the room to work either.

i loved our stay here in holiday inn. it was very close to pretty much just about everything. the lakewood mall was just straight on one road. and staff were very friendly, room was clean. and it had a good about of space. i would stay there again.

Great hotel with all the blue collar traveller amenities. Noise is an issue, with the freeway and airport right outside the window. Some sound insulating windows would be appropriate.

Fine in a crunch. Came in early. Was told my room would be ready by 12:30. Was ready around 2. Halls reeked of some terrible deodorant. Sprayed to cover up what? Room was the same. Noisy air conditioner. Terrible area. You get what you pay for.

Good location -easy access to Long Beach & Airport. Comfortable room, good breakfast, nice pool area. Only 1 negative - room was very noisy -overlooking airport runway! Double galzing needs upgrade to sound proofing!

My wife and I went their for our 20th year anniversary because this was the first place we stayed before we went on our honeymoon. The resteraunt and lounge on the top floor was great. Service was very good and food was also very good. Only downside was the guest services checking in she wasnt very friendly or helpful just seemed like we were bothering […] her. Mehr

right next to major hi-way and the airport

Chose this hotel for it's location. It is right off the freeway and was very noisy.

This hotel is conveniently located near the Long Beach Airport & the 405 freeway. The hotel is unique because it is built in the round. So the views of the surrounding area are good, but there is a lot of traffic noise from the busy local streets & the nearby freeway. The room & bathroom were small but adequate and included a flat screen television. […] While the bed was comfortable, the pillows were short, not even standard size, and were not very comfortable. At the top of this hotel on the floor marked penthouse, there are both a restaurant & separate bar area. The evening we arrived, we had a drink in the bar which featured a Happy Hour and served free sandwiches & potato salad--not very tasty. The next morning we had a delicious full breakfast in the restaurant. Although the food was not included in the cost of our room, it was reasonably priced and we had a great view of Long Beach from our table by one of the many windows. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning a visit to Long Beach. Mehr

I had a pleasant experience, however, I found the lighting in the bathroom to be insifficient

We stayed at the Long Beach Holiday Inn due to its proximity to the Long Beach Airport. The hotel is currently renovating, but we were not disturbed by any of the work, even when we slept late. The one thing this hotel could do to improve its rooms is to include a towel bar on the wall in the area where the sink is. I hope that will be included in the […] ongoing renovation. As things are currently, the towels are in the room where the toilet and bathtub are; this is adjacent to the location of the sink, but a separate room. The hotel was clean and the king-size bed was quite comfortable. Mehr

We were in Long Beach for our daughters graduation from college. We had some people come in from outside long beach and stay at the hotel as well. They too were very happy with the accomidations.

Some might complain about the noise from the airport, but I enjoyed watching the jets arrive and depart. There are strict City Laws regarding times planes can use the airport. Literally around the corner from freeway(405) access.

I booked this room last minute and there was no problem with availability. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. I would stay here again. I just thought $150 for the night was a little steep for a Holiday Inn...good hotel but for that much per night I'd stay at a more luxurious hotel.

- Quick shuttle ride to airport. - Room was clean and comfortable. Nice restaurant on top floor was very good for dinner; also, bread pudding dessert was delicious. - Breakfast was unfortunately not included, but the 24-hour diner across the street had a decent menu, quick service, and low prices, so I didn't have to go far.

Lower end of expectations for the money.

This hotel is right next to the Long Beach airport. It is a very comfortable hotel and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I would stay there again.

I probably wouldn't stay at this hotel again, but for a Hoilday Inn - it was better than I expected. The staff was very nice and helpful. They have a shuttle that runs to and from the airport and the local mall. The room was clean, but smelled a little bit musty. There is nothing to do close by. I'd pay more next time to stay somewhere nicer.

The front desk clerk was wonderful and extremely helpful but even he couldn't make up for the poor facilities. The bathrooms were so small that I hit my knee every time I tried to close the doors (and I'm small). There was no "Holiday Inn" breakfast which was why I chose this hotel in the first place. The location was good for my needs but not very […] scenic. I would not stay here again. It looked much nicer on-line than in person. Mehr

The bed had a comfortable duvet cover and pillow-top mattress. The room decor was simple in color and pleasing to the eyes. I enjoyed a relaxing time at this hotel!
