Das Hotel liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Santa Monica Pier und diversen Shopping- und Essensgelegenheiten, v.a. ist es auch nicht weit zum Los Angeles International Airport (mit PKW rd. 10 Min.). Genau dafür muss man dann gutes Geld bezahlen, etwa $ 27 um den PKW für eine Nacht im Parkhaus abzustellen. Zimmer waren renoviert und sauber, nur das Bad braucht mal eine Erneuerung und leider fehlt eine Minibar 0.Ä.. Service beim Frühstück sehr lahm und unorganisiert. Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut, 3 min zum Strand und 3min zur Third Street Promenade zum Shoppen. War sehr angenehm und hat alles bestens geklappt. Die Leute waren freundlich und shilfsbereit. Super Lage, perfekt für Kinder!

Direkt am Santa Monica Pier (tolle Ausgangslage). Grenzt auf allen vier Seiten an Strassen, d.h. der Strassenlärm ist zu hören (auf allen Stockwerken). Jedoch grenzt in L.A. fast jedes Hotel an irgendeine grosse Strasse. Frühstück und Parking überteuert.

Zimmer selbst sehr gemütlich (wir hatten 409), Bett super, nur der Verkehrslärm war enorm da Einfachverglasung. Gutes Schlafen nur mit Ohropax möglich. 1 Minute zum Pier, 1 Minute zu einer sehr schönen Mall und 2 Minuten zu einer wunderschönen Promenade: die Lage ist einfach fantastisch! WLan gratis, Frühstück durchschnittlich gut, Kaffeequalität schlecht. Der […] Pool liegt direkt neben der Autobahn (!!!!!!) ohne Schallschutzwand, daher unbrauchbar (schade!). Saubere und grosszügige Zimmer, freundlicher Empfang. Dieses Hotel ist nur weiterzuempfehlen und wir würden jederzeit wieder in diesem Hotel übernachten.

great location. As the name says, the hotel is located right at the pier and 3rd street is only a couple of blocks away. the rooms are OK, but nothing special. You obviously pay for the location.

A good hotel in a great location. Walking distance to the pier and beach and also to the shopping centre and Third Promeade with many restaurants to choose from.Would stay at this hotel again.

Very clean and new hotel in a very nice area. Close to the pier and to many restaurants and a great mall. Internet free, but no breakfast which is something that helps (you could pay but too expensive : $20 per person!) but across the street has a very nice small cafe called Donuts an Hot Dogs (I think) very small and simple but with great coffee and […] delicious bagels. Also iogurt and fruits available. Overall it's a very pleasant stay an the price is ok. Mehr

For location, Holiday Inn at Santa Monica Pier cannot be beaten. Its a bit rundown and a bit utilitarian, traffic noise is a shocker and one lift is under repair so you wait a very long time for the one that is working - but the location overrides all of that. Kerin /Australia

If you're staying in Santa Monica, it's hard to imagine a hotel more centrally located: the Holiday Inn is literally across the street from the famous Santa Monica Peer and in the middle of the city's bustling center. The hotel is also nice and affordable. Recommended.

the hotel was very clean and the rooms were great. beds were very comfortable and the location was great 2 mintute walk from the pier...loved it

Overall good staff, can beat location. One complaint ;Fitness facility consist of a few cardio machines but room is not well kept. Empty bottle of cleansing wipes for 3 days. No soap in lobby restroom can frustrate.

I was only staying 1 day / night. The Holiday Inn is conveniently located immediately at the end of the pier, however the pier doesn't offer much of an attraction. 3rd st promenade is just up the road which is nice, but for what you get the Holiday Inn is rather overpriced. I would look into other Hotels that are cheaper. FYI-Santa Monica beach is […] beautiful, but where main meets Abbot Kinney (closer to Venice) is where the great restaurants and nightlife is for these two beachtowns. Mehr

Very pleasant, comfortable hotel two minutes from the pier and beach. Super close to the shops and restaurants. Very agreeable staff, nice big clean room.. location couldn't be better. Two small criticisms: the pool area which is next to the freeway so very noisy, and the fitness centre which is very small and has no weights, only cardio machines

The hotel served our purpose. It provided all the comforts we required and was close to the pier, shopping, restaurants and the bus into town. Our room overlooked Macdonalds which opens 24 hours at weekends and seemed to be a gathering place for the homeless which was a bit depressing as with the time change, we were awake at 3am watching them wandering […] the streets. However it happened to be raining that weekend so I expect that made it worse. We would certainly use the hotel again when in Santa Monica. Mehr

For the price and location, the Holiday Inn Santa Monica was excellent. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable about getting around. We got some street noise throughout the night, but it wasn't too bad and the ocean view was ample compensation. For a family travelling on a mid range budget, I can't fault it.

If you want to sleep in peace, avoid this hotel. The windows are not dual pane. So you can hear the traffic all through the night. It was tough to sleep and I can usually sleep with some noise. And I was not even on the freeway side. Don't know how people would sleep in those rooms. Tough stay.

The location was wonderful. We were able to easily walk to the surrounding shopping area and the Pier. Breakfast is not included, but there are restaurants nearby as well as one at the hotel.

The holiday inn Santa Monica at the pier was a fantastic location for shopping,pier and beach. The staff were friendly.Did have to unpack the car yourself and take bags to your room yourself. The room was good. Enough room for the family.bathroom was a little old and small. Toilet kept blocking up, but they came and fixed up very quickly. Had a laundry […] to do some washing which was great with the kids and traveling for awhile. GREAT LOCATION and would stay again for that reason. Mehr

Great hotel - they allowed us a late check out - Free bike hire - saved us a few dollars. Pier just across road - McDonalds also across road. Enjoyed our stay at Santa Monica.

We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Santa Monica Pier for three nights. The hotel is in a fantastic location, just a block from the beach and pier and a couple of blocks to the great shopping on the Promenade. The staff was friendly, the rooms were spacious and comfortable and there's underground parking. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed 4 nights around Xmas at the Holiday Inn Santa Monica at the Pier. Apart from the fastest check-in I've ever seen and everything else up to scratch. We had a few extra requests that the staff were extremely helpful with which we really appreciated. Great Hotel. Close to the Pier and shopping places.

Very good location at a reasonable price. Convenient access to hotel carpark if you drive. There is a friendly valet personnel to assist if you need help to drive to garage in the basement. This was perfect for a one day stay! We came down to spend New Years Eve on the Pier. It was great! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The $27 parking is steep but you really have no other otion as parking is difficult to find. I could see how this location would not be so great if you are staying longer. It is noisy! It has constant human, car […] & bus traffic. If I had not stayed up late and was tired I probably wouldn't have slept well. I had to turn on the AC to drown out the Buses. And the bus stop and Mc Donalds right next door are covered with homeless people. I think for one day this spot is OK, but if I come back and stay longer I will definitely stay else where. Mehr

You can't beat this location. It's right across from the SM Pier and you can walk to many places. We never took our car out of their garage. It's an older hotel but clean. The staff was very friendly & helpful. It is a busy, active area so doen't expect total quietness--it's a happening location. Our only complaint was they had a fire alarm test without […] warning anybody & the soda machines didn't work (a big deal to me but probably not to others). It was a good value for the location. I had an excellent stay at the Holiday Inn Santa Monica. The staff were extremely helpful, the hotel was in very good condition, and the location is extremely convenient. I'll definitely stay there again during my next visit to Santa Monica.

No Bargain Hotel clerk did not bother to find help for me to get my things from the car even though my husband was on crutches Just said the cart is over there No breakfast did reduce parking in their structure to 13.50 from 27.50 exit parking not clear had to dodge sign to get out. room was comfortable. very convenient to shopping

Hotel is situated in a great location to the pier and shops. Rooms on the Colorado street side are very noisy from the traffic and pedestrains outside. Service was only average.

Holiday Inn Santa Monica Beach at the Pier is a comfy hotel and is in a very good location in Santa Monica. That is why it is expensive compared to other hotels. The hotel was is a perfect spot to get around Santa Monica, the Pier, the Promenade and the beaches but is located on a busy street. The traffic noise was very loud in our room, it almost felt like the window was open when it wasn't. Parking was ridiculously expensive. I may look into garage parking down the street next time.

Average hotel at outrageously high rate. Close to where you want to go but incredibly noisy due to the highway that is right underneath the windows at the backside of the hotel. Could not close an eye all night! Never again!!
