Für unseren Kurzaufenthalt war das Hotel optimal, zentral gelegen. Wir konnten einiges zu Fuß erreichen, Bahn und Bus sind in der Nähe, auch einige nette Speiselokale und Bars. Von den oberen Stockwerken und vom Schwimmbad aus hat man einen traumhaften Blick auf Vancouver Downtown. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und professionell.

This was a great hotel, close to skytrain. Lots of different restaurants near by plus the one in the hotel. Comfortable room and bed. Newly renovated room. very nice. We stayed before 1 year ago and liked it and the location, so booked there again this time. Will defenitaly stay here again.

Very clean! Newly renovated. Very nice staff and services. 5 minute walk to Vancouver General Hospital. Best bang for your buck in downtown Vancouver!

Bit of a walk to downtown but a nice one. I'm sure this will be a really nice hotel when the renovations are finished. Room was awesome just the lobby left to finish I think. . Not much for food or drink in the area after business hours. Saturday night after 10:00 the only thing we could find open was a little bar that was marginal and a Wendy's resultant. Unfortunately the hotel was under renovation in the lobby and some of the floors. No amenities. The rooms however were newly renovated and comfortable

After I checked out, I was advised about my camera charges and a skirt was left in the room from the cleaning lady. That was so helpful !!!

Had a interesting/good stay. Thanks to the clerk cleaning the room for the instruction of how the coffee maker worked. Unfortunately our rental auto was towed from the front street area (on Broadway West-it was our fault that we didn't heed the traffic signs and words shared with us by the front desk to pay for the hotel fee parking; we had to pay the […] tow cost before we returned home. The pool was excellent swimming and when we return we will consider staying with you again for that reason. Thanks for storing our bags while we were at the Stanley Park Aquatic Center. We liked the service at the desk and are somewhat curious about how our stay would have been had there not been renovations going on. The food at the buffet might have been more substantial; I was pretty hungry to start the day at 10:30 AM and usually drink a lot of juice to begin a day. Taxis congregated in front of the hotel nicely to make travel easy (Was there really a need for a rental car in our short stay?) Mehr

The Hotel was great. It was clean and one of the best rooms i have stayed in.

Renovated room on the 15th floor great. Spotless, quiet and roomy with very comfortable king bed. Friendly, helpful front desk staff. Renos still underway on some floors but that did not negatively affect the stay. Would stay again.

This hotel is undergoing major renovations. The rooms are clean comfortable, very quiet and modern. But the majority of rooms are closed,so it is best to book a few weeks in advance, Despite what must be chaos behind the scenes the staff are courteous and helpful. The restaurant food is not good but once again staff more then make up for the poor quality […] of the food. I recommend this hotel and will return again. JIm Mehr

After my husband made the reservation I lingered to read the reviews on Expedia. Yikes, I told him the place was under construction and the pool and exercise room closed and that we would not get breakfast included in our stay. OK -- so we were prepared for those things. The big surprise was the parking bill which he thought was included. So we took […] a deep breath and checked out our room. YIKES. The two queen sized bed mattresses were thin, hard and old and the room smelled. Please don't make humans stay there. My husband went straight to the front desk and asked for a change. We moved to the sixth floor, a corner room, that was soooo much better. We were delighted. It was clean, nicely furnished and had a pillow top bed that was great for our travel worn bodies. Thanks for the happy ending. And we were content to eat cereal in our room to cover the parking expense. Mehr

Hotel staff were nice and the location convenient. Sky train is a few blocks away and plenty of food and cafes nearby. The downsideis that the hotel seems ancient and requires maintenance. The elevator broke down while we were there and everything seemed slow and old. Construction was going on while we were there, so hopefully this brings the hotel […] into the 21st century. Mehr

This hotel is doing some remodeling and it badly needs it. The pool was closed, rooms were dirty, and its over priced for its condition.

the pool and exercise facilities were not available, after 3 years now! Very disappointing!!

This hotel was in a good spot. Right by all the bridges to get into downtown. The neighborhood has food and shopping options in walking distance. It's under renovation and we knew that going in. We didn't get a renovated room like we thought, but the rooms were fine and heading in a great direction. The staff was great. We didn't have our room cleaned […] and the housekeeper grabbed us in the hallway to stock us up on coffee and towels. We didn't even have to call down. I would stay there again. Mehr

The hotel was close to shopping and restaurants .Convenient ride to downtown, A free breakfast would have been nice

we had a wonderful stay here. We walked to Granville Island. It is about a 45 min. walk through a beautiful park and waterway. The staff was helpful and recommended a great chinese resteraunt . Our room was great.

We booked a room as a last minute weekend vacation. Luckily, we were able to get a room, but after the experience we had there, not sure it was worth it. The hotel was being renovated, and with a few of the facilities being closed down for that reason, I feel that the hotel was way overpriced for what we got - I feel like I paid for the opportunity […] to stay downtown Vancouver and thats about it. Nothing in the hotels binders were updated - we were looking for food at about 11 pm at night after reading that the lounge was open until 12:30 am on a Saturday night, and walked downstairs to find it had closed at 9:45 on a Saturday night. The hairdryer was broken in my room, I had to have workers in and out of my room to try and fix it as I was trying to get ready to go out and enjoy the day in the city. The front desk members were helpful when possible, but didn't seem to know a lot about the surrounding area or what was going on around the city for the Long Weekend. The parking costs for the lot were absolutely ridiculous - way to overpriced for a two nights stay. Overall, I probably would not go back to this hotel, for what I paid, I feel like I could get a lot better elsewhere. Mehr

Was a nice enough hotel but very overpriced. The room itself looked recently renovated. The pool and fitness room were closed due to renovations - maybe the hotel fee should have been reduced to reflect that. I also felt that the parking fee was way too much money.

we really enjoyed our recent stay here. we stayed here mainly for location .the front desk people and housekeeping staff were very friendly. our only complaint was that the ice machine wasn't working and as the weather was hot during our stay we would have appreciated having a fridge in our room .

Plus: accommodating staff, close to the Skytrain, nice rooms. Minus: working out kinks involved in remodel, ongoing construction for a few more months I would guess. Kinda feels like you're in the boonies, despite some decent restaurants. Didn't experience: restaurant.

Hotel was under Renovations. Spa/Gym/Pool were all closed. Heavy drilling & construction during the day. Would not have chosen this property if I had know of these conditions. Would be nice if Hotels.com made this information available. Since booking is prepaid - your stuck upon arrival. Not a nice surprise. Nothing more, nothing less. Hotel is dated and for its location this was disappointing and should be a feature hotel in the area. Instead it is a throw back to 1980s. It was clean however and staff were courteous and helpful. Currently undergoing some improvements- ? addressing the above comments. This hotel was pleasant enough and it is in a neighborhood close to the city center downtown and surrounded with plenty of good restaurants. However, there was endless construction going on starting at 7 am. There was only 1 elevator working and it took about 10 minutes to get up and down from our floor to the parking garage. Had to call room service […] several times to get in touch with someone to order, which was a tad annoying. On the plus side, the room was a good size and the staff was nice enough, although not exactly super helpful in terms of informing you of attractions or local sites. But the room was a reasonable price and lower than many other hotels in Vancouver. Typical Holiday Inn amenities, but both practical and reliable for budget travelers. Mehr

The location of the hotel was very convenient, but the hotel itself was in a shambles. Extensive renovations were being done. Floors 5 and 11 to 16 were being completely gutted, one of the 2 elevators were out of service and a high rise concrete and steel building(an addition to the hotel facilities) was under construction as well, from 0730 to 1630. […] There were very long waits for elevators, 10 min plus, as construction crews were using the single elevator in service and the construction noise made it impossible to stay in the hotel room during the day. My husband was recovering from surgery and was forced to leave the room as he could not rest due to the noise. The soundproofing between rooms was nonexistant too. We could hear everything our neighbors were doing. Mehr

The hotel was in a central location which was nice. There was a Tim Hortons a block down from the front door. The room wasn't 100% clean (hair still on the bathroom floor) and we had to pay $15 to park overnight in the parkade on site. The pool and sauna were under construction and not available for use. The hotel didn't give us a discount for their […] amenities not being fully functional. Mehr

We chose this hotel for a 2 night stop over before travelling to Vancouver Island. The location was excellent as only a 20 min taxi ride from the airport. Close to plenty of restaurants, bus and train stops also very close. The receptionist was extremely helpful and advised we take the sky train back to the airport as it is so cheap and convenient. […] Excellent buffet breakfast in the hotel and good value for money. Nice comfy bed and pillows! Would defintaely stay there again. Mehr

The location fits our needs, and there is a swimming pool. Room was a little warm and air conditioning noisy. Didn't like the plastic glasses. Construction outside, but didn't bother us much.
