A good deal for a family of four, 2 very comfortable double beds, a pool and breakfast all at a great last minute rate. We were just touring the Northumberland parks and used the hotel as a mini break, so didn't even venture in to Newcastle which is about 6 miles away. Our room was double booked so we were offered an 'Executive' room upgrade. This had […] a huge bed in it but the other was a sofa bed which under the cushions said 'Broken do not use'. So the receptionist got us back into our original room with 2 doubles which was probably better for a family. The pool is a good size and seemed clean with a sauna and steam room. Niggles, if I had paid more, would be: poor tv reception, and better attention to details with repairs. Overall though, I would definitely recommend this hotel. Mehr

Hotel good. Pool small with lots of children. Room had only double bed - we booked twin room as tstaying with my gron up son. They supplied a low folding bed which was very uncomfortable, old and had a dip in the middle. Despite the high price booking did not include breakfast. Otherwise overall hotel was clean and service was good by staff. They skimpted […] on beverages eg tea coffee, chocolate and only provided towels for one person despite paying fo two people. Mehr

Convenient and cheap - not the smartest nor the cleanest but perfectly satisfactory.

Great hotel about 6 miles from centre but great taxi service a minibus was £20 so no bad between a bus load. Food in the hotel was a bit expensive as breakfast was £13.95. But overall a lovely hotel with friendly staff, who advised us on the best places to go for bars and clubs. Would defently return.

Great stopover if you're on the A1/ MI. We were delighted to be offered such a large, comfortable room for this price. And get this - use of the leisure suite - pool, sauna, a few machines - is thrown in too! Caution is advised with the food though, at least if you take the bar option (I don't know what the restaurant is like). This hotel ticked the boxes as cheap deal clean hotel friendly staff and although we never used the restaurant it looked clean and nicely done out . The three things I did not like was the facilities were nothing to be bothered about the gym was tiny the pool tiny and the sauna and steam room was like a shower cubicle ,, the changing room was even worse […] I was actually standing near the door to get changed and there was only 6 in the room so if your worried about getting naked in front of people I suggest you take extra towels and get dressed and dryed in your room . The room was clean basic but the heating was shocking we were freezing and although there were 4 of us they catered for 2 , 2 towels 2 cups 2 milks .this was just a girls hotel night away few drinks glad we brought our own and we had a laugh and could not complain for 25 quid each but if u want something totally spa and relaxing and loads if facilities I would not recommend it . Other than that the staff were lovely really polite even helped us in touch of ordering a chinese take away in which was delicious . Mehr

Stayed here for 1 night after work Xmas party in hotel. Great price with Hotels.com- £34 for double room (room only)! Room good size and very clean! Beds (we had 2 doubles in our room) very comfortable! Choice of 4 pillows on each bed(2 firm, 2 soft) which was great! Usually find ourselves searching wardrobes for extra pillows! When we first arrived to the hotel I was somewhat dissapointed, driving up to a hotel in a service station just didnt seem like a good idea...HOW WRONG WAS I! The hotel was fab, room was nice and spacious and clean, the staff were more than helpful and so friendly! You can book a taxi into newcastle city centre for £14, shared between 4 thats £3.50 […] a pop - bargain. Would deffo reccomend this hotel to those who wanna go out in Newcastle but avoid hefty hotel bills, this hotel is the one! Mehr

I was a bit worried about staying at this hotel after reading earlier reviews. I personally found this hotel to be fantastic value with the BEST service I have experienced. The reception staff are extreemly friendly and helpful, the food was to a good standard and the leisure facilities are definatly an added bonus. The bedrooms were extreemly clean […] and of a good size. The hotel although very full was mananged well with little noise/ disruption on a Saturday night..... well done Holiday Inn!!!! Mehr

reception staff were very helpful, breakfast was very good. People in the room above us disturbed our sleep as we could hear them moving about and banging doors at early hours of the morning which was a nuisance- would ask for a room on upper floor next time if we went back. I've stayed at this room twice before and it is good value and friendly. However this time we were given a no smoking room which obviously had been smoked in. I asked a Manager to swap rooms he said the hotel was fully booked but changed it quickly. I saw the couple who had got our smoking room the next day and they said it still smelt of smoke but […] had to accept it!!! I feel the hotel doesn't take this issue seriously. Mehr

A lovely hotel, clean and modern, great pool and often empty. first night room was too hot but fine for following nights. Quiet area,

too far away if your planning on drinking in the city center. Theres nowhere to eat around the hotel so you constantly have to get taxis. All in all nice clean hotel with friendly staff but its just to far away from everthing.

The hotel was good value with an excellent breakfast. The weather was unusually hot and the large windows, poor ventilation and lack of air conditioning led to a melt down situation! The overall comfort of this hotel is OK and I was enjoying my stay up to the point were I ordered some food. To my shock the Mixed Grill was absolutely disgusting, meats tasted awful and was very well cooked or maybe re-cooked. The pudding came with packet mix custard, yak!! NOT what you expect from such a hotel.

The Holiday Inn Newcastle was very comfortable during our one night stay. The location was easy to find, and although on the outskirts of town, it was an easy trip into the center of Newcastle. The staff were very friendly. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

The hotel was in an nice area,easy to find good looking hotel,fair prise but a little bit to far for me to see Newcastle City centre.

Stayed here whilst visiting family in Cramlington. Really nice hotel, friendly efficient staff. Comfortable beds and bedrooms. Only point to be aware is there are no lifts. The hotel is only 2 storeys but if staying with young children or disabled remember to ask for ground floor. We found it difficult carrying pushchairs and luggage up the flights […] of stairs. Had a very enjoyable few nights in this Newcastle Hotel, rooms were excellent also the breakfast was of a high standard, approx 6 miles from city centre and very easy to find, I would recommend this hotel in fact i did recommend it to a friend of mine and he also enjoyed his stay, staff are very friendly.

I wasn't impressed with the cleanliness. The bathroom floor was not clean and the underside of the safety bath mat was mouldy. It is a pity that housekeeping do not notice these things. the food was good and the rest of the hotel was nice.

Hotel pratique car non loin de l'aéroport, chambre confortable, personnel à l'écoute, juste un petit bémol sur la propreté mais c'est correct
