Really central location, amazing breakfast and really comfy beds. Perfect after a night on the town!

Hotel was a wonderful choice for our short break.Located close by to the main shopping area and not too far from the night life,the hotel was great.We got a good deal via the website which included 2 night stay and breakfast on both mornings. Breakfast selection was very good,and times also were perfect for early or late risers. room was excellent as […] we stayed on tenth floor,facing lovely park and had fantastic views of city. rooms were clean with perfect temperature ,plenty of pillows and were spacious too.Free tea and crumpets served on the Saturday in the lobby, to mark the Queens birthday, was a nice touch. Staff were very helpful ,(particular mention to young lady on the desk who was being trained that weekend,she was plesant,helpful and very polite).from the very start of our stay,issuing us with a map and marking a few things to see and do,very helpful regarding bookings for taxis,directions to train stations and buses. bus stop located to the left of the hotels main lobby runs the bus straight to the airport...which we didnt realise,as we walked to the main bus station...but theres a tip for future guests! all in all a great stay at this hotel,Bristol is a lovely city with plenty to do for all ages,night life,shopping,eating and sightseeing all within a matter of mins.Hotel was an excellent choice! Bad service. Queues for EVERYTHING!

Located downtown right next to a very large shopping center. It was a nice, comfortable stay. The pool is small but adequate. It's shallow enough in half of it for our 2 and 4 year old to walk around. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will recommend this hotel to friends.

Lovely spacious clean room overlooking the city. Very helpful staff.Followed by a wonderful breakfast serving EVERYTHING! Great stay. Fully recommend.

Nice hotel with Spa and gym. Swimming pool is quite shallow but usable. Not a huge amount locally after dark, a couple of restaurants, others seemed about 3/4 mile away. Hotel's restaurant menu disappointing.. Slowest lifts in the world - three of them but only one ever seems to work.

As our Christmas didn't turn out as we planned we were looking to get away for a respite for New Years Eve. As we are both quite fond of Bristol & Bath we thought a bit of shopping at Cabot Circus might pick us up. We picked this hotel for its proximity and as well having read the good reviews! It was a fantastic stay, couldn't fault it for anything. […] Hotel staff always friendly and helpful, room spacious & relaxing, best nights sleep in a long time. We will definitely be back! Mehr

My husband and I booked this the night before we needed to be in Bristol for a birthday night out. On a whim we decided to pay a little bit more for breakfast. Definitely worth it. After our night out, we were hoping for something to help with the hangover. The buffet hit the spot. Fresh bacon, hashbrowns, eggs, toast, yoghurt, cereal, juice, etc. Really […] tasty, as well. The service at the hotel was fantastic, too. When we arrived the NCP car park next door was full, as well as the other nearby car park. The concierge kindly let us park behind the hotel in the staff car park for the same fee. Overall, good hotel. We would definitely consider staying there again. Mehr

We had a lovely time in Bristol ,good shopping and good attractions .We found a lovely Indian restaurant superb food and service .Cant wait to visit again.

Bristol is a good city to visit and that we did and enjoyed. For the high price, the Marriott hotel we chose was a bad choice on this occasion. The good points: 1. location 2. breakfast 3. swimming pool 4. for breakfast, they separated the stag/hen/party people from the family people 5. friendly staff The bad points: 1. dated hotel feel 2. room was […] grubby and not the usual high Marriott standard 3. parking is at the NCP next door which costs about 10 per day extra 4. the general area is under development 5. not the best hotel to stay at if you have kids as many visitors over the weekend are out to drink for the night. Lovely hotel in ideal place for shopping and nights out. Great breakfast.

The Marriot is starting to show it's age compared to some of the other hotels Bristol now offers. It's clean and functional, but nothing special. Sound proofing is not what you'd expect, with the road noise easily heard 6 floors up. The air conditioning is a bit antiquated and noisy. The building itself is an ugly 1960's concrete block ith an ncp […] car park attached. You have to pay extra for this, albeit at a slightly discounted rate. If your after something a bit more modern and slicker then Future Inns (about 200yds away and with free car parking) or the Radisson Blu are better and cheaper alternatives in Bristol Mehr

Excellent hotel, had booked a twin room but due to the large number of hen/stag parties there were none left. We were upgraded to an executive suite at no extra charge. We also received a comp bowl of fruit, which was a nice touch.The views over the river and park were really nice and it was convenient for the main shopping area, if retail therapy is […] required. The hotel facilities were very good, everywhere clean and comfortable, staff very helpful. We had booked with breakfast included and this was of a good standard with a wide selection to choses from. The only downside was the noise from returning partygoers on the saturday night, it was quite on Sunday night though. Mehr

we have just retuirned from the marriot after a great long week-end enjoying the harbour festival and being able to have a very comfortable rest at the Marriot excellent service and a breakfast to die for . thanks will.be back soon

What a nice hotel with really good service and superb location I was quite surprised with the comfort and cleanliness of the hotel considering there are so many more newly built hotels in the town. I would definetly stay again AAA++++++

LOvely Hotel, Unfortunately male hotlel manager not helpful when complaint about rooms allocated. 3 x double twin booked. for 6 adults, 1 of the rooms had 1 double bed and 1 childs bed, not suitable for un-related guests. Hotel manager was not interested and would not offer alternative, therefore guest had to share double bed - not suitable for large […] guests ! Mehr

My husband and I stayed there in June 2011, for 2 nights and stayed in an Executive Room. The views from our balcony were lovely, overlooking the park and castle. All of the staff were very helpful and very polite. The pool and leisure facilities were really good, really clean and i loved the lighting in the steam room! Just a little awkward walking […] through a bar full of visitors to get there! Breakfast was very good! A lovely buffet, with good quality food and choices! The local shopping area, particularly Cabot Circus was really good, we enjoyed walking through and finding somewhere for dinner. £12.50 per day parking which is a little expensive but it was made very easy by the staff to come and go from the car park as often as we liked without any charges. Overall we really enjoyed the hotel, and would definitely consider it again if we were to return! Mehr

the employers of the hotel were very professional and welcoming. The room was clean of high standard and the amenities of the hotel were very good. criticism was the price of wifi, and room service this was very expensive. apart from that i couldnt fault the hotel as it was central to everything you need.

The hotel was comfortable and the food was very good. However it was showing signs of age particularly with the aircon in the room which was very noisy and fairly ineffective.

We love staying at Marriot Hotels. The rooms are comfortable and clean. This one did not disappoint us. The staff was polite, rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The location of the hotel was also great because it's walking distance to pubs, clubs and great restaurants. The only problem we had was with the breakfast.. the eggs were not fully […] cooked and the bread was hard besides that I would stay again and get breakfast at a near by restaurant. Mehr

The staff were very helpful and friendly. It is a lovely hotel and I was pleased to see how close it was to town. Quick and efficient check in and check out. Breakfast was of a good quality, could have been hotter. However, all staff were really friendly in the restaurant and bar too. car parking is expensive though. Everything great. 10 out of 10.

Stayed at the Marriot Bristol city centre for three nights. The room was very comfortable and clean the staff very helpful and so friendly. the lesure facilities were excellent and spent a lot of the time in the pool. I would reccomend the full english breakfast to set u up for the day. Will def be staying again

The hotel is in an excellent position for the city centre. Parking was not a problem, but a bit expensive. The hotel does need a better system for people waiting to check in and out. Would certainly use it again in the future.

Hotel is in a central position in Bristol City Centre within walking distance of train station. Hotel staff very good especially concierge helping guests with directions. Unfortunately a numner of rooms front onto the Bristol ring road and the soundproofing is less than adequate rendering a good nights sleep difficult. I would have asked for a different […] room had I been staying more than one night. Pity as the hotel facilities are very good. Mehr

Booked and pre-paid for 2 adults and teenager in a queen suite. Realised at reception I had left my wallet at home on the bed! No help at all from reception staff. Despite having paid in advance for the room on my card, they wouldn't let us eat until we had the card number sent through from home and didn't care if my child went without dinner or not. […] Staff in the dining room wouldn't leave us alone and told us 5 times that we hadn't paid even though we explained to manager that card details were being sent through shortly. A waiter stood and hovered over us whilst we ate. Didn't have any money to get petrol home and they wouldn't give us cash back when the card details came through. Treated us like criminals and were totally unhelpful and inconsiderate to our basic needs. Even though we booked and paid in advance for three people for breakfast - they only ordered for two. Had to keep going back to reception to sort out the bill, which was wrong twice. Then, to add insult to injury receptionist keyed in the bank details wrong and rejected our card twice which was humiliating and she didn't even apologise for it. Finally, miserable consierge came and keyed in the correct card number and it went through. Couldn't wait to leave. Hotel itself is great, staff made it a horrible experience. They could have sorted this out with reassurance and civility. Instead they treated us like we were trying to rob them and run off with a free meal ! Disgraceful treatment. Mehr

An absolutely perfect stay for our family. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean, room excellent, leisure facilities very good. Breakfast was great, excellent choice of hot and cold food. We've stayed in a number of hotels over the years and this rates as the best. Also, we obtained a good deal so unbelievably one […] of the cheapest too. We often stay in Bristol. There is now no longer any need to spend time reviewing hotels as the Marriott Bristol City Centre is so so good. It is a brilliantly placed hotel in the centre so easy access to all amenities which makes it easy for getting around. After a busy day my son enjoyed the gym and pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Despite the excellent service the hotel had few major flaws. Our room was clean, however, the toilet had marks of the previous guest. It was very hot and unpleasant to sleep in. Make sure that if you booked for a non-smoking room you'll get one as we had to change rooms because we were given a smoking room.

Excellent hotel, very good location next to Cabot Circus shopping area. Staff all very helpful, rooms spacious and clean, good singer in the bar on the night we were there. Reduction given from NCP car park charge next door £11 for 24 hours just give your ticket in at the hotel as you checkout. All round very good would stay again

Booked and paid for a family room to accommodate two adults and two children, upon arrival the hotel did not have any free family rooms so they wedged a single fold-up bed into a standard room. Needless to say that two small’ish children (7 & 11) found it very difficult to sleep in the same single bed – which impacted all our sleep. Will not stay […] at this hotel again. Mehr

Great place for a weekend.

This Marriott is not in Bristol's City Centre dispite the name. The Marriott Royal Bristol is actually the Marriott that IS in City Centre- so that was disappointing and we drove around qyite a while- and finally had the people at the one that IS in City Centre explain it was in another section of town. Staff was very helpful.

stayed 3 nights on special deal. excellent value. had room only which was fine.Would definately go back. location was quiet but nice. shoppers paradise with restuarants.

friendly helpful staff. last stay in Marriott (Crowne Plaza Glasgow was bad beyond belief) and only booked this one as it was the last room in Bristol on balloon fiesta weekend. Pleasantly surprised. Arrived for breakfast 10.15 (guide in room said buffet served until 11) to find they were closing. Without any fuss they cooked our breakfast - a […] feast of all you could wish. Disappointed not to be able to book breakfast with room through this site as this made breakfast expensive at £15.50 each. Mehr
