Hotel Current - Long Beach

Leider hat trotz mehrmaliger Nachfrage das WIFI nicht funktionstüchtig gebracht. Dies ist nicht der Grund für meine verhaltene Bewertung. Am Ende steht ein kalter Frühstücksraum, mit 3 Tischen... mit je 2 Stühlen.... Für ein ganzes Hotel.... Es waren über 15 Gäste... Fast wie die Reise nach Jerusalem.....

Very quiet location, nice staff, nice pool. Extremely limited breakfast. Don't be fooled by the pictures some rooms are decorated nice but most are standard motel 6 style room with no flat panel televisions or hd.

The Bathroom sink and Tub faucets leaked. There was constant noise from the tenants all night. It was ome of the worst nights my wife and O have ever spent.

Our room was of a very average quality, not what is hinted at on the website desscription ! The standard of the Breakfast was very poor, low quality, horrid coffee and juice. The room was also very glum not recommended if you alreday suffer from depression !

i would recommend this hotel to another couple anytime. it was very comfy & cozy. the staff was friendly & the room was well kept. i very much appreciated the shuttle service. my only 2 warnings would be the fact that there was no conditioner & there was only 1 ice machine. other than that it was a nice getaway for a good deal.

Rooms are updated and very nice. Pool it's nice but a hot tub would be nice. Need more vans for cruise terminal pickup, there were loss of people who had to wait 40+ min round trips to get back as everyone could not fit in the van. Would definitely stay here again.

After seeing some negative reviews I was sceptical but from arrival we were pleasantly surprized. The staff were great, the hotel was beautiful and I think we got great value for money. I will definitely be back!

I had a great stay, it was a last minute booking. When I got there they couldnt find my reservation but after through looking they found it. Bump my regular room up to the suite... Great for the money, newly remolded.

I recommend staying in one of the refurbished rooms. Nice decor and very clean. The only item needed for improvement would be the blankets. We called the front desk for extra blankets and they delivered very old, outdated and hole filled blankets. Even with this, I would stay here again next time I am visiting in the Long Beach area..

We book this for the last minute at a great price! I was having trouble picking a 4 stars hotel facing the beach or Hotel Current... well glad I booked this hotel for everything I needed at an affordable price. What more can I asked for? free on wifi, parking, breakfast, room is modern, sleek, clean, and creative...even not facing ocean but location […] is still safe nice and clean. 4 stars still charge for all these things so why waste money on them. The sad part is, it was raining all weekend but we stay inside the warm comfortable room all day with nearby restaurants that deliver. Only 2 stories high and the going in and out was quick. No need to wait for elevator or meet other hotel strangers there. Very quiet and peaceful. Mehr

This is the first time I have ever written a review for any hotel that I have booked on hotels.com because most of them are adequate and get the job done. But Hotel Current was so wonderful, I had to write a review. The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. They shuttled us to downtown to hang out and came and picked us up shortly after we […] called for a pickup. They took us to the Long Beach pier and came back to pick us up after the cruise within 20 minutes of our call. The hotel was extremely clean, which is a huge concern for me. Very cute, quaint and had a boutique hotel feel to it. I will absolutely stay at Hotel Current any time I'm back in the Long Beach area. Mehr

I went w my girlfriend for a weekend, clean room, great breakfast, awesome pool. Service great. The only thing I would say is that the shower is kind of not that potent... but the bathroom is BIG and good. thanks guys!

The rooms are appointed very well. Modern decor. Tee bathrooms are very spacious. The standard soaps they use in the shower dispenser could have been a better quality considering Current present themselves as a boutique hotel. Good food at restaurants near by. Overall Current is good value.

Stayed for a visit to Long Beach. The room was wonderful - beds comfortable and everything was clean. The design and style of the room was sleek and modern - very calming. Great TV, free internet, free breakfast. Can't believe I got it for the price I did. I would definitely stay here again (next time I would spend some time in their beautiful pool […] as well ). Mehr

Very friendly service. Was a little out or the convention area, but FREE shuttle was was great and I will use the hotel again. Reasonable rates.

...that some people do in their "reviews." As I said in my earlier review, this is a perfectly charming hotel, very clean and conveniently located hotel. The recent renovations have gone a long way toward this. (Hey, two "stays' - two reviews is only the decent thing to do, right?) For the people whining, I don't know about you, but I've paid three […] or four times what I paid at Hotel Current to stay in some "five star" hotels that should be ashamed to take the money and mortified about their rating. A certain "charming" hotel in Monterrey comes to mind. Give the place a chance. If you're not the kind accustomed to sleeping on rose petals and spending way to much money for your value, I guarantee, you'll enjoy it. ;-) Mehr

Not only was our room as nice as pictured, the rate couldn't be beat and the staff were all friendly and wonderfully accommodating. Our departure from home was delayed and they were great about a late check in. Then, when a radiator problem that occurred shortly after we checked out necessitated finding a room for at least one more night, the staff […] were truly helpful. They checked us back in (to an even nicer room) gave us a GREAT rate on the second night of the new stay, sent a microwave to our room immediately when I asked where there was one we could use - and even drove us to pick up the car when it was finished. Our stay was only ok because we had a half price room special rate. I would have been quite upset if I had paid full price. We had a standard room which was quite cluttered, considering that the room was decorated in a spartan rather than modern fashion. There was a desk, but it was so close to the bed that I had to get up from the chair to allow my […] son to reach the bathroom. The iron and ironing board were quite old. The newer furniture pieces were light and flimsy. There were no curtains or bedspreads. The ac/heat unit was very loud. The refrigerator door had to be pushed shut and the door to the room had to be slammed to engage the locking mechanism. There were tractors and trailors parked in the already narrow parking lot and lanes. The TV did not receive the CBS channel. There were only three tables in the breakfast room and the toaster just slowly dried out the bread. At 9am Sunday, a maintenance man began working with power tools outside our room. Mehr

Funny to me, the hotel is sort of a aLoft copy set in California two story exterior balcony style. Same Herman Miller copy chair, same "vessel" type above counter lavatory, same shower only with pump soap, same iphone friendly setup. Alot bigger than the aLoft's I'm used to, easy to find on the PCH with good food located nearby.

The back building has not been renovated and is available quite cheaply. The hotel is nothing special, but the value is good.

The hotel rooms were amazing, from the decor to cleanliness hotel current was a great experience!!

I have checked in at night. receptionist welcomed & helped me so very much. He even helped me with my luggauges. Accessing to the hotel was easy. I booked a standard room for the first night. I wasn't very happy when I saw my room. I upgraded my room for the life style one & there I was very happy. Overall and comparing to the price I had a good stay. […] Shuttle was available to drop me everywhere in Long Beach. Mehr

Service was awesome my entire stay. The rooms are very modern, not the average hotel style at all. But loved it overall.

I booked this room because of the photos on Hotels.com and wow, it actually looked like the photos. I had a king room downstairs across from registration. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Great Bed. Nice Couch. Flat Screen. The bathroom has a cool sliding door and giant shower for 2+ people. Loved the hardwood floor and all of the interior […] design elements. Mehr

Even though the front desk did not have ANY of our room requests to be second floor by the pool (which hotels.com promised would not be a problem) we still loved the Hotel and location. Walk next door to top notch restaurant Gree Fields...not cheap but excellent brazillian theme, service and food. The next day we golfed right across the street. This hotel is really nice and fresh!! Location is good - if you want to stay at Long Beach part of LA and you have a car in use. Room was very nice, clean and comfortable - also quiet. It includes everything one needs on a trip; fridge, hair dryer, wi-fi (which did not work always though, but that was the same in many other parts of LA too), lots of […] TV channels etc etc. Heated pool also available. This Hotel was such a nice experience we want to come back soon and enjoy the room, courious staff and great eateries in walking distance - Great get a way option for us living in southern CA

My boyfriend and I snuck away for a few nights and had a wonderful time doing not much but enjoying our company... the little dive restaurant next door served decent food so we were able to walk and dine. Bed was comfie as we stayed in a lifestyle room which was recently renovated. Really enjoyable...

Last minute getaway and this was such a nice and clean room. Location was not the greatest but very safe, as the hotel was gated entrance and exit.

The room is absolutely adorable and well designed. The beds were comfortable and the layout was perfect. I recommend this room for a short stay only because of a few details; the walls are thin and you can hear everything going on in the room next to you, not bad if your neighbors are considerate, but you can see how this would be a problem if they […] weren't (as in my case), also there isn't a microwave or coffee maker (but a starbucks nearby), and the shower, though a beautiful fancy rain shower, wasn't the best for getting the shampoo and conditioner out of my hair, showers rank high for me so I rated this hotel a little lower. Overall perfect area if visiting someone that goes to CSULB or for a fun weekend. Oh and breakfast is great and the staff is super friendly. Mehr

Stuck in the back small rooms loud neighbors...moved once...these rooms are old...high cost two upgrade..will not return

Price of the hotel is too expensive for what you are getting. Do not recommend the hotel. Pictures of hotel are for the newer rooms, old rooms do not look as shown in photos. Nothing special about this hotel. Only the lobby and pool area looks nice. Most rooms are below average.

The breakfast is great wonderful waffles and fresh fruit! The bed was awesome very big and comfortable! The room was cleaned everyday and I was given fresh towels to! I also had a balcony with a great view of the golf coarse! The only problem I had was that my room was facing the street (PCH) and it was loud. This hotel will fool you from the outside, but once you walk into your room, you will be pleasantly surprised. It is a modern, clean lined suite that says upscale all the way. The only minus is the lack of an elevator for accessing the second floor.

We stayed here a couple of years ago for their Park & Cruise deal and they had just started their remodel. They're all done now and the rooms are phenomenal, the lobby looks great and the pool looks fabulous. Also still a great deal for the Park & Cruise.

The rates were good, the room service from the local pizza place was very good and fast. The room was very comfortable I would stay here again.

We liked this "Melrose Place" hotel for the price we paid! We'd definite return. Stay by the pool on 2nd floor.
