The hotel just opened under the Holiday Inn name.It is still under renovation,but that did not interfere with our stay.When renovation is complete it should be a very good choice in the Clark-Westfield area.

Very comfortable affordable and the Staff is very pleasant helpful and friendly

My team and I stayed here one night (really only for like 8 hours total) before we flew to Haiti early the next morning. The only issue we had was that the heat was not working in one of our two rooms - which I'm sure the hotel would have taken care of if we had called them, which we didn't because it wasn't that cold and we had very little time to […] sleep so we didn't want to spend any of it with someone in our room fixing the heat. I bought three rooms for a family party, this hotel was great. Have stayed in 4 star down to 2, and this was a great hotel for the low to mid price range

I asked for a handicapped room, and the only one offered was one with a double bed, and we were 2 women. We were given a cot, so I had to sleep on that and there was no room to walk around. We had to ask for towels, there was only enough for one person, and we were not given shampoo or any of the usual products given for cleanliness. I had to beg for […] breakfast, told them I would pay in cash, but was told I needed a ticket. I had one complimentary ticket the day before, but was given nothing else. I had to ask if it was a restaurant, why did I have to beg to have food? I have always loved this hotel, I do not know what happened, but very disappointed this time. Mehr

I only stayed for a night but the service was great. The employees made me feel welcome, the rooms were clean [thats what really matters], comfy. I would definitely stay here again :)

Overall the hotel services were great, the room was very clean and comfortable, though the bed was uncomfortable because of its small size. When my husband and I stayed there the hotel was going through some major construction and our floor looked horrible. The location is very convenient, there is a target, shop rite, and fast food restaurants. About […] 15 minutes there is a great mall. This location is going under remodeling which has limited elevators access and construction crew throughout the hotel. If you don't mind these inconveniences, then I recommend staying there because it's a good location for a good price. The overall negative comment will be that we left our room after 12 noon and when we returned to it, the room was […] not cleaned. I addressed the matter with management and was told to make sure to let front desk know that you want your room clean if you leave late. My response was "since when does housekeeping stop cleaning rooms before 12 noon" In my opinion this has no negativity towards Hotels.com and Crowne Plaza-it was just this particular location. Mehr

The hotel was a bit less desireable with all the construction going on. There were tools outside, carpet and a very large pile of rubble outside our window. Not very eye catching. Not to mention to hear all the cars and motorcycles passing all day and night. The Room needed a good dusting, especially the TV. The clock radio was an hour behind and didnt […] realize until we woke up and checked our cell phones. Couldnt get it to work properly either. No Hairdryers? We stayed at the Crown Plaza Clark while visiting friends and family in the area. The location is great - easy on and off the GS Parkway, plus close to restaurants and some shopping. The room features a large mini fridge and microwave which was critical to me for storing milk, juice and snacks since we traveled with a 5 year old. The bed and pillows […] are SUPER comfortable - best sleep I've had in a hotel. The front desk gave my daughter a free coloring book and small box of crayons, which was a nice unexpected treat for her. The breakfast buffet was pricey but very good. However, I only gave it 3 stars because there was never any hot water - only warm enough to stay in for a few minutes. Mehr

We didn't have sufficient hot water and the heating system was so noisy we had trouble sleeping through the night. The uncomfortable foam rubber pillows also contributed to the lack of sleep. The hotel is being renovated so it was much to look at either. But by far the biggest problem was the lack of hot water.

Underwhelming, even for the price

Not the best and very poor Internet. Wireless is complimentary in the public areas and available in the room. Not the most updated place but in good location, nice food, and people are friendly.

Stuff is very friendly, rooms are large, clean, and it is not too expensive

It's a great place, comfortable lodgings and bar and restaurant on the premises. Also very near to freeways, highways and turnpikes. Glad we opted for this hotel.

You would think that this hotel was having a shortage on towels and washcloths. Every day, we called down because our towels and washcloths had not been restocked, and everyday we were met with promises that they would be. Turndown service was also sporadic. These are basic amenities to a hotel, and they were not provided.

In NJ on business and needed a place near 22 to stay, but there is mostly roachy motels. This fit the bill nicely and is not far from some great local joints. Clean, courteous, what else do you need? Upon returning to NJ, I will be staying here again. Full service restaurant and lounge to boot.

We had a wonderful stay. We were there during hurricane Irene, and the hotel warned us that we might loose power which didn't happen. There was lots of downed power lines all around, and most businesses in surrounding communities were without power and not open. We were so grateful that the hotel's dining room was open and operational. Other hotels […] in the area had no provision for food for their clients. The airport was closed, therefore our flights were cancelled. The hotel allowed us to extend our stay two additional nights for the price per night that we had been quoted when making the reservations a couple of months prior. There was limited staff due to the hurricane, but everyone seemed to be patient and willing to help however they could. Mehr

Great for my needs which was a place to go after the Golf Tounament. Food in the restaurant / lounge was very good. Decent fitness center.

Within 30 minutes of Prospect Park, Brooklyn on Sunday morning. Easy parking, friendly staff, clean room. I would stay there again. Great value. Reasonable breakfast buffet, good food.. Only downside was their restaurant's coffee.

Was out of the way but all in all nice spot to stay

Our stay was plesant. My one suggestion for improvement is the furniture in the lobby. The furnitue is quite worn and in need of replacement.

Nice hotel close to NYC and Staten Island. Would stay there again.

The Crown Plaza Hotel in Clark, NJ was over all a good hotel. The pool is much smaller than shown in the hotel photos but was clean. I would stay there again.

given the east coast heat wave, it sure would have been nice to walk into a cool room. the room was 80+ degrees on the thermostat and it took ~ 2 hours to cool down.

If planning a trip to NY area, but don't want to spend NY prices this is the place to stay. It is a quick trip to NY but this hotel is in a very quiet location. The rates were great. Everytime I visit my daughters in New Jersey I stay at this hotel for it's comfort, clean rooms, and all the amenities it offers, including it's close to everything I need.

Although the location is a little bit hard to find but the room is nice and clean. The breakfast was truly excellent. We got to the dining area very late but they still made the breakfast available to us. The stay was satisfying. We recommend any family to stay here!

The hotel was very clean and nice . Hotel itself is old . The picture of the hotel from the outside makes it look nicer than it is . Overall it is good for the money . The front desk said it was only a 3 star hotel

The property has a geat location with easy access to NYC and central New Jersey.. My room was clean although the property is very mature and could benefit from additional modernization e.g. small bathroom compared to other similar type properties I have stayed. Enjoyed my stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Clark.Though it was a quiet night and not busy, the staff including front desk personnel were accomondating as if it was a fully occupied. I even forgot my toothbrush but I called the front desk and that had toothbrush and tooth paste on the ready. I look forward to returning there.
