Es ist ein grosser Komplex mit Haupthaus und kleineren Blöcken. Uns wurde ein Zimmer in einem kleinen Block zugeteilz, es war zwar ruhig, aber so desolat und abgewohnt, dass wir um Verlegung ins Haupthaus bitten mussten, dieses Zimmer war um Spuren besser, aber lag in Augenhöhe mit dem vielbefahrenen Freeway und war daher höllenlaut.

For the price and location, this was a good deal. The down side is the elevators were beat up, and the carpet in the halls was old. But the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and our problem with the refrigerator was fixed right away. The front desk was always helpful and cheerful, and the pool area was very inviting.

This was a terrible hotel. We arrived at 5:30pm on a Sunday night only to find out that our reserved family suite would not be ready until after 7pm! When we finally arrived at the room it was filthy. It had not been vacuumed and your feet stuck to the tile floor. The handles on the bathroom sink did not function and the bathtub was peeling and chipping […] so badly that you could not use it. We went to bed exhausted from a full day of traveling. At about 10:30pm a party next door began with extremely loud music and several people yelling. The walls were paper thin and we could hear every aspect of the party goer's conversations. It was a Sunday night so we waited until 12:30am to call the front desk. Nothing was done. At 1:30am we went over ourselves to ask that the music be turned down, which they obliged us. However, we continued to be kept awake due to the conversations until 4am. The AC was broken in the sleeping room! Breakfast served at the hotel was dismal. Waffled batter that was so watered down it would not cook, fresh fruit consisted of an orange and rubber eggs. Needless to say we cut our stay short! Do not book the family suite in this hotel. Mehr

Great free breakfast, but unclean room, intermediate Wifi, and some rooms like mine next to train tracks with loud horns!

I stay here every time I come to town. They have breakfast, beds are comfy, and their pool/spa is awesome. Plus you get 2 free drinks during happy hour. Great place. Great price. Staff is friendly too!

The hotel was well kept and the service was great. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. However the refrigerator made this awful squealing sound every 20 minutes during the night. We eventually had to turn it off to get some sleep. The breakfast the next morning poolside was very nice and the location for the Fourth Avenue Street Fair was extremely […] convenient. Mehr

I stayed 2 nights while attending a conference at the hotel. While the king sized mattress seemed new and was comfortable, the room had seen better days--frayed carpet, stains on the bathroom counter, sloppily mopped floor, no doors on the particle board closet. The low room rate reflected the room's quality, although photos of nicer rooms were displayed […] on the web site, hinting of a better quality room. Lobby staff were pleasant. For the conference, no small rooms were available for concurrent break-out sessions, which had to be held in the same large room. The catered snacks, coffee, and lunch food were fine. A burger I had in the bar was overdone but tasty enough, fries and pickle mediocre. The grounds were expansive but required a lot of water to irrigate the Tucson turf--very wasteful. Was very satisfied!The rate was very good.And the comps were too!!!

For the price it wasn't bad, but I have stayed at cheaper hotels and been more satisfied...... bathroom floor was dirty. I expected a little more from this hotel, but would stay there again if the price is right.....

A good, clean place to stay if you need to be near downtown or the U of A.

The tile in the bathroom need to e re-grouted, lack of upkeep in the bathroom floors pretty much seems that they are lacking maintenance But over all it is a great location and property and the staff are great and very helpful

Good hotel, nice staff, and grounds very well kept. Although we were just in and out, we walked the grounds and saw there was alot to do at this property if you just wanted to hang out at the hotel for the day. We were treated like royalty. Hot food buffet for breakfast. Cocktails upon arrival. Friendly staff with great recommendations of areas to see within walking distance. Good food at hotel's restaurant. Clean, spacious rooms. What a delightful treat and great bargain for the price!

We did not end up staying at this hotel - but did enter the hotel - the neighborhood was not very good and we also were disappointed at the cleanliness of the lobby and the restaurant. I do have to say that the hotel was nice enough to refund us for the night when we changed our hotel to another one.

Not as nice as it sounded or looked online. Beds were pretty comfortable, nice TV, bathroom had a funny smell but was clean, and electrical outlets were old and wouldn't hold a plug tight. Not worth what was paid, and I wouldn't go back or recommend it.

Hotel is conveniently located near downtown. Staff was very cordial and acommadating. Had to take shuttle next day back to the airport to pick-up a rent a car. Driver was great and very pleasant to talk to. Rome showed definite signs of wear and tear but over all was clean and comfortable. Only annoying problem was the wake-up call system failed repeatedly […] but atleast their was a clock radio in the room which worked. Would gladly stay there again. Mehr

FOR THE TIME OF YEAR WE WERE THERE (GEM SHOW) THIS IS THE BEST THERE IS FOR LOCATION. RIGHT IN THE CENTER OF IT ALL.

This was a very big mistake for taking a discounted hotel deal during high tourist season when the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show is happening. My room was in the middle of exhibitors that were renting the hotel out. Too much congestion and traffic in the hotel while people were busy shopping in hotel rooms for rocks. The room was fine, quieter than expected for the location. The included breakfast was excellent.. The restaurant area was just too noisy and crowded for us to give it a try for dinner. We will probably come again.

First let me say the Gem Festival was going on at this time, so it may not be that bad usually. First, I was kind of mad because the hotel is pretty spread out, and I had to lug all my bags (they were out of carts) outside and up some stairs. The hot water in the shower didn't work AT ALL, and the hot water in the sink took about 5 minutes to get hot […] and was brown and muddy until then. One suite two doors down was open even though I found out later no one was staying there- kind of worrisome. Then I found out the shuttle only runs from 8am-10pm, which wasn't advertised. Unfortunately I had to be somewhere by 8am so I couldn't use the shuttle service, one of the reasons I booked this hotel. Service was friendly, but at teams they seemed overwhelmed by the gem festival vendor requests. Breakfast was good, with more than usual fare of pastries and cereal including hash browns, eggs, sausage and belgian waffles. Overall, I did not enjoy my experience, but I was here on business. I've been doing a bit of traveling lately, and this was unfortunately the worst hotel experience I have had in several cities (including SF, Chicago, New Mexico and others) and for definitely not the least money. It may be a bit better if you're on vacation when its not the gem festival, though.. Mehr

Having read some of the recent reviews, we were concerned about our visit. We should not have been. Our room (and many others) had been recently renovated and was clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was well stocked and tasty despite a full house. The happy hour was well attended every day. The service from the staff was excellent. The staff was not very nice. The room was barly clean. I found trash under the bed. The pool and bar was nice. It was an ok hotel but not for how much I paied. The breakfast was nice but on the weekend it was hard to find a table to sit at. I had to wait for someone else to get done eating. I wont be staying here again.

This hotel has everything going for it... staff, location, rooms, breakfast. Everyone was very friendly, especially the ladies working the breakfast in the morning. And the breakfast was great.... cooked eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, juices, coffee, fruit, yogurt, and more... with a big dining room, too. We had the king room and it was a very nice […] size with a sofa, frig, microwave, hairdryer and fully stocked bathroom. This is an older hotel so it's not what I would call luxury and it may not be perfect aesthetically, but it is worth every penny. The pool is large and there are two open grassy courtyards enclosed by the buildings... perfect place for kids to run off some energy. The location (close to downtown and the highway) and price were both good for us and we stayed 3 nights. We will stay here again and highly recommend it. Mehr

Hotel clerk couldn't find my reservation. Had to wait a ridiculous amount if time to check in. Room was filthy with empty food wrappers under bed. The hotel was in poor condition -- old, foul smelling and very noisy.

We used the Hotel Tucson as our touring base for four nights while visiting Tucson. Because of the mixed reviews, we were a little apprehensive. During the weekend we were there it was very busy with a Dog show and another large convention. However, the room was clean and the service excellent. Great value for the money. Good staff. Older building and T.V. had problems, but you get a couple of drinks each and a free breakfast. Breakfast was great and great staff. Just a couple miles from U of A

Hotel Tuscon City Center was an excellent location for my stop in the city while I was on vacation. The room and the view of the pool area were wonderful. The access to the resturants on Fourth Avenue was five minutes or less by car. It is obvious that a great deal of effort has been put forth to update this hotel in the old part of the city.

This is not a 5 star hotel, but it's clean and comfortable. The breakfast, which is included, is very good as well. Starbucks coffee, eggs, bacon, sausage, make-your-own waffles, juices, milk, yogurt, various pastries, bagels, and breads.

We came back to this hotel for a second stay, because it has what most hotels in a city miss: charm and cosyness. In the bar you can order a limited but tastefull selection of meals at a decent price.

Needs to be updated for price, Not very clean in rest room. Bed was real comfortable. Nice Staff

This hotel had horrible beds, and yellow water coming out of the shower. I would NEVER stay here again.

We have stayed at this hotel before without incident, but unfortunately had a bad experience this time around. As part of the rate, a full hot breakfast is supposed to be included. This is a huge convenience for us as we have a 9 month old and a 3-year old. However, when we went to breakfast at 9:30 am(service was to be until 10am), all of the pans […] were empty, except for a few spoonfuls of cold eggs. They were out of hot eggs, sausage, potatoes, bisquits, fresh fruit, and yogurt. When we inquired of the staff, they were rather rude and said "That's it for today... we aren't bringing any more out." While we tried to find something for our girls to eat (a dry toast and dry cereal...no milk either), we went to get them at least some juice. Well, they were also out of juice and coffee. When we asked again, a woman staff member rudely told us, "Someone left the juice on..now I have to clean it up! We don't have any!" Wehn we asked the gentleman again about what we were expected t eat, he basically said they had been overbooked, so it wasn't their fault. So, I have 2 hungry babies, and no food for breakfast. This is not a way to run a business and we were not even offered a voucher or anything to maybe go have a meal at a local restaurant. We found the serving staff rude and unprofessional, and this incident will probably stop us from staying here again. I look at the picture of the room on this page, and I recognize from the layout that it's the same type of room that I stayed in, but somehow it seems cleaner and more fixed up than my room. The place is basically in disrepair. The curtains were broken so that they wouldn't close all of the way, the handles on the dresser were broken, the sink and […] bath tub had their linings peeling and cracking off, and there were rusty exposed pipes in the bath tub that looked like they were from previous tub fixtures that had been replaced without removing the old ones. Add to that the lack of cleanliness (the towels were dirty, and there were literally fecal smears on the outside of the toilet). Also the water ran red when it was first turned on; not brown, red. I'm sure it was just rust from the old pipes, but it definitely made us nervous. I'd skip this place. The pictures make it look nice, but the real rooms don't match them. Mehr

After a rather unpleasant confrontation with a group of complaining Germans at the check-in, the guy at the recdeption desk gave us a beautiful suite, with pool-view. For us this was a very pleasant stay with happpy hour in the lush garden and all the luxury you ever needed.
