Sheraton Annapolis Hotel - Annapolis

I booked two rooms with two queen beds but when we arrived the hotel had received our reservation as two rooms with only a king sized bed in each. Thank goodness they had extra rooms available to give us what I reserved. The hotel lobby and pool area are nice but the rooms had a damp smell to them. Our air conditioner sounded like an airplane getting […] ready to take off....very noisy. The breakfast buffet was $12.00 and no continental breakfast was available. On the positive side of things, the hotel did offer free use of computers with access to the internet in the lounge area and offered coffee free of charge in the morning. Mehr

Should have a continental breafast at least and accessible laundry

Breakfast should be included,like in most hotels. The television remote control difficult to use.

Very friendly, nice hotel. We enjoyed our stay, and would return.m I certainly would recommend the Hotel.

Had to return to desk 3 times due to failure of key operation. No plastic cups left in room 2 days.

The Sheraton Annapolis was an outstanding experience. We were visiting the Naval Academy so it was perfectly located. Room was spacious, bed (king) was comfortable and free internet was very much appreciated since I never travel without my office (laptop). Shopping was convenient, my wife had been wanting to shop a Trader Joes and it was located just […] across the street. Absolutely no complaints. In addition, parking was free. If we return, this is where we'll stay. Mehr

I usually come home from a trip away with a backache. Not this trip! The beds at this Sheraton were very comfortable. The room was extremely clean and it was in the middle of a restaurant and shopping area.

Although the hotel's lobby looks great, this is not your typical 4-star hotel. In my room, the remote control to the TV didn't work, I had an iron w/o an ironing board and & the knob to the closet was broken. Not to mention that this hotel is pet friendly (I didn't know that when I booked). Pets were everywhere, rather than having a separate floor which […] pets. I had to change my room b/c the dog next door wouldn't stop barking! What a nuisance. It makes me concern how often they exterminate the hotel, since now with pets everyone there is accessible to fleas! Yuck! Never will stay there again! Mehr

I wish we would have stayed at the Loew's or O'Callaghan's as someone suggested. This Sheraton is smacked up against the highway in a mall parking lot. To go see anything in Annapolis you must drive there. We checked in late at night only to find the in-room refrigerator was not there. This was a must for medication for my son and a slowly defrosting […] cooler on our trip. I called the front desk and was told they were all out of rooms with refrigerators...I told her to find one...giving them medication to keep in the hotel's frig wasn't an option! She did. One of our curtains was missing. While the hotel food service did run late into the evening, we checked in after it cut-off and the only option was a pizza delivery place. For the small increase in price, next time I would absolutely stay in Historic Annapolis at the Loew's or O'Callaghan's as a friend suggested. You can walk everywhere from these hotels, especially if you have children. The rooms are supposed to be well equipped and there are ample selections of late night food places. You'll pay for valet parking but it would be worth it! Mehr

The pool deck had dead bugs around it. While the lifeguards read magazines and looked on their computers. The pool was warmer then the Hot Tub. I passed up several other holtels because they didn't have a pool or hot tub and it was discusting and disappointing! My phone wouldn't call the front desk. So I had to take the slow elevator all the way to […] the lobby to speak to the front desk. Biggest complaint...CLEANLINESS!!!! Especially the pool/hot tub. Mehr

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a wedding that we were attending at Kent Manor Inn. Check-in was smooth, with the exception that my key did not work the first time, forcing me to go back downstairs and get them fixed. The woman at the front desk (Christin?) was very polite and professional. The elevators here are AWFUL! Seriously, if you can hoof […] it, I recommend taking the stairs (especially if you are in a hurry like we were). The room itself was nicely decorated. I don't know whether or not to blame it on the hotel itself or the weather, but our room was constantly damp. We cranked the A/C down to 64, but still the room felt musty and moist. Not a great feeling, especially when it's hot outside. Like I said, this could have been the fault of the temperature and not so much the hotel, but either way it made sleeping uncomfortable. The beds at the Sheraton are always amazing, and this one was no exception. I just wish the room had felt less damp -- otherwise, it would have been a nice night's sleep. The location is pretty good -- very close to many restaurants, the mall, tons of shops, etc, and right off of 97. All in all, we had a pretty unremarkable stay, and other than the damp room, we had no complaints. Mehr

The Sheraton Annapolis was a good price, but because of its ballrooms, a weekend stay should expect many weddings and other parties. The attendees of those parties also stay there and get quite rowdy throughout the night. The room doors shut quite loudly so between people going from room to room, loud voices at all hours, don't expect a good night's […] sleep on the weekends. Also, the room ventilation system seemed to have a hard time eliminating humidity from showers, so the room felt damp for a long while. Cleaning staff was slow (over 12 hours) to remove bottles etc & food trays left throughout the public spaces. Sometimes the restaurant staff was very slow ( sat there for 10 minutes w/o seeing anyone come, even after we mentioned something to the front desk). Overall, room was a decent value for the area, but you get what you pay for. Mehr

As most hotels provide a full breakfast, this one did not even provide a continenal one which would have been nice since I needed to be out early for classes. Hotel needs renovation, smells horrible, damp musty. At least the air cond worked

This was our 2nd stay at this hotel, the first was uneventful but thanks to our most recent visit we will NOT stay here again. It's in a great location & has a nice pool but that's where the positives end. You'll first notice how unbelievably slow the elevators are, both arriving to pick you up & waiting anxiously for the doors to open. More than once […] we worried whether they would at all & we were only on the 2nd floor! In a room that happened to be directly over the ballroom during a very loud, very late wedding surrounded by very loud, very drunk wedding guests. Loads of fun with 2 small children. When I called the front desk to complain she politely said "I'm sorry". That was it. Why would they put anyone other than wedding guests above a wedding? Especially a family with kids? You can tell it's an older hotel that's been remodeled. Our 3 year old screamed there was "poop in the tub" but it was just where the coating was chipped off, likewise for the sink. The rooms were clean enough, just not very modern. Oh & there was a nice hole worn in the ceiling of the shower since half the water sprays directly up when you're showering. In the morning we spent an hour trying to even reach room service, no one ever answered, just rang & rang. Even the front desk couldn't reach them. Once it finally came the guy was really nice & the food was as expected. Then, for some reason when cleaning the room they only made one bed? The best I ever got besides polite "I'm sorry"s was an offer for points if I joined their preferred members program, no thank you. There are loads of hotels in Annapolis, don't stay here. Mehr

Nice hotel. Just wish the pool was open later at night.

*The Front desk was not courteous, simple smiles or thank yous were hard to come by. The Hotel bed spread had stains on them, My wife raised hell but I had to calm her down by saying we would never stay here again. * The room smelt dingy...old sheets no air freshners. * I would never recommend or stay here again.

The weekend stay was priced right for the location. If it rains for hours, a quick trip to the Westfield Mall will satisfy any teenagers in your group. There are surprisingly few restaurants that are not "chains" in the area. The continental breakfst here isn't worth the convenience, but you can find a great bargain and plenty for everyone at the […] Double T diner which is just off Rt. 50. If you go into Annapolis, the shops are intriguing and the keepers are genuinely friendly. As eveyone should while in Annapolis, be sure to eat some of the local crab to make your trip memorable. We were very please with our stay. Staff was very kind and helpful. The shuttle van into downtown Annapolis was very nice. We would definitely come for another visit.

there was a disgusting stain on the bed blanket with chunks stuck to it. awful!

I had reserved a room with a king bed but was given a room with two double beds. I am not sure if this was the fault of Hotels.com or the hotel where we stayed.

The moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with a warm smile, and a hello. I was celebrating my wife's birthday, that happen to fall on Easter weekend. We love the Annapolis area, so we felt right at home(minus the kids). Thank you for a wonderful time. The room and service was A+.

We were very pleased with the hotel, and the staff were very courteous. Our only complaint: the bed was very uncomfortable. The king-sized bed had a gully in the center and was noisy. Insufficient sleep does not add up to a good hotel impression.

This was my first visit to this hotel and I was very impressed from the time I walked through the door until the time I left. The young lady at the front desk was very, very nice and made the check-in and check-out easy. I would reccommend this hotel for any length of stay.

Breakfast buffet pricey at $12 a person, family of 4 can drop $50 just for cereal and a few more options. Not much nearby for breakfast, other chain restaurants within walking distance for dinner. Quick access to Annapolis.

I stay there for one night and it was really easy to move around, the room was clean easy and fast check in/out

The price was low but the room was top of the line !!! The hotel is located near everything by walking !!!

Very good location for restaurants and shopping. However, the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable in our room and sleep was difficult with the highway right outside our room. We had expected to enjoy the pool when we arrived and it was closed on Friday afternoon. We then tried the pool on Sunday and it was closed from noon to five. At this point […] we checked out one day early. Hospitality is not the way I would like it. No attempt to satisfy us was made. Mehr

Good price, nice room, comfy beds. Was dissapointed that there were Winter Pool hours we were not aware of, so had to rearrange our original plans. Also, would ask for a room on the mall side of hotel, as opposed to the Rte. 50 side, very noisy.

The hotel is close to the highway (Rt. 50) so is easy to find and right by a mall. Check in was incredibly slow, as everything had to be reentered into their reservations system even though it had come through Hotels.com. We were the only ones at check in, and wondered what would happen if many came in at the same time. We had booked two double beds […] but were hoping we might be offered a queen or king--they never asked or offered. The room was comfortable but small. Small refrig. and microwave which we didn't know we would have. View of the rocky roof. One robe (in a room with two doubles?). At least they had a robe. We were attending a conference held in the hotel so felt we had to stay there. Others stayed at hotels in downtown Annapolis which were half the price and offered breakfast in the deal, so we realized we had gotten a very poor value. Nevertheless, the hotel is lovely and the event we attended was very nice. The room was comfortable. We might stay there again but only under similar circumstances and would want to be on the concierge floor at least with all the Sheraton stays I have had. Mehr

Bones of the hotel are obviously not new, but comfortable room and great service.

The room was very clean and the bed was sooo comfortable. I slept like a baby! The elevators were very warm and there was some construction going on in the opposite hall but it did not disturb us. I would definitely stay again! Wonderful hotel and a great price.

There must have been 30 dogs staying at the hotel the weekend we were there. This is a pet friendly hotel. Be forewarned!

The hotel allows pets and that woule be ok expect that I was in a room next door to a dog that had the runs my entire stay! Let's just say it was a very smelly situation and to make matters worse, when complained the Sheraton offered to change rooms, but never followed through with it. I am glad I did not pay $330 per night for my room!

Terrible. The hotel smelled like animals; I wish I had known they allow pets before I booked. The floor in my room was wet, apparently from having been steam cleaned before I arrived. I had to wipe my feet on a bath towel before getting into bed. After the first day, I was down to one bath towel on the rack, which, when I unfolded it was covered in […] dirt and grime. The woman at the front desk said they had no other rooms to put me in, I spoke to Sheraton to register a complaint, They said that they would send me an email confirmation of my complaint and that someone would call. Haven't received either 3 days later. Mehr
