Ramada Plaza Nags Head Beach - Kill Devil Hills

Das Ramada ist eher als runtergekommen zu bezeichnen. Nicht unbedingt das was ich erwartet habe, nach einigen Ramadas in Europa. Service war eher unhöflich, aber nachdem ich nachgehakt habe ging es. Zimmer zwar sauber, aber könnten wirklich mal renoviert werden. Das gute ist, es liegt direkt am Strand.

Outer Banks st ein Ort, der sich bildlich vom übrigen USA unterscheidet.Die privaten Häuser sind fast ausschließlich Pfahlbauten und somit entsteht ein schönes und idyllisches Bild.In der Nähe befindet sich ein einfaches, aber schönes Pier. I loved our stay here at the Ramada Plaza in Devil Hills. Right next to Nags Head, the hotel was very clean and extremely well maintained. The staff was exceptionally couteous and very attentive to detail. Over all, a very good time. Thank you!

For the location it was fine. The hotel shows its age but I am sure it can withstand a hurricane. We stayed on the ocean side so we fell asleep to waves crashing every night. I accidentally left my favorite necklace behind, and the hotel staff found it and was quick in sending it to me. There were lots of good places to eat nearby, and the bike path in Nags Head is great for running. I would definitely stay here again. our double bed oceanfront room was very small. Maybe 150 sq feet or so. We had 4 people so it was cramped for a room with two beds. and seemed about motel 6 quality aside from the lobby. Only knew it was the Ramada because the logo said so. But not a bad stay if you snag a room around 100 dollars or so.

We had a good time - the location is excellent, and the beach view is very good. Our room smelled like smoke all three days, even though we aren't smokers. We found cigarette butts on the balcony on arrival. There were renovations being done to the lobby while we were there. Upon arrival, found out that they were renovating. I guess no one thought that it would be something to mention to guests when booking. However, the renovations seem to be minor and they really need to do more. Our room had an amazing view of the ocean but there were many issues throughout our stay. The free wifi did not work the entire visit, there […] was no drain stop in our tub, our toilet wouldn't flush because the plastic chain broke inside the tank, the room smelled terrible because the carpet had just been replaced. While new carpet is nice, the fumes were nauseating and I have never smelled new carpet like that. After moving to a new room, the room smelled better but it was very clear that housekeeping doesn't clean well enough. The bathroom floor had chunks of something all over it and the carpets were filthy by the table. There were even whole pretzels on the carpet by the heating and air unit. The doors leading to the outside patio was impossible to open in both rooms and this hotel has zero soundproofing. We could hear every word from adjoining rooms and patios. Mehr

The hotel is finishing up some construction and the elevator is slow. Minor complaints as the view was gorgeous, the staff was friendly and fast, the hotel was clean, and just overall a wonderful place. The bed was soooooooooo comfortable with all the pillows they had. My husband and I love this hotel and have stayed many times.....but nowhere on the website did it mention that they were renovating... had to see some ugly walls...and restaurant was using rooms as temporary restrooms... other than those things... we still enjoyed the indoor pool and spa...I'm sure it will look wonderful WHENEVER they get finished

We wish the hotel had notified us that they are currently undergoing renovations; but the rooms were great and the staff did everything possible to make us comfortable. The hotel restaurant had great food and was very affordable; especially for breakfast. Off season pricing was great and our family would love to go again!

I have stayed in this hotel before, and that is why I selected this hotel again. The hotel was under renovation, but the staff was very helpful to make the stay pleasurable. This hotel was under renovation construction while we stayed. We were not told when we booked the hotel, that this was going on. We had to go thru a dark hallway, to a elevator lobby where there were two tables set up for the check-in. This was a big weekend in OBX as it was the Bridal Show. The hotel is undergoing renovation so there is some inconvenience in the check-in process due to lack of space. There was an issue with our original room assignment but it was not only rectified quickly, we were given two breakfast vouchers (for a very nice breakfast) to make up for it. This hotel brings shame to the Ramada brand. They have a Parrot in the lobby that they warn you that it may bite, yet they still let it roam freely. Very poor service and very poor condition of the hotel. I can't believe this hotel received a 4.2 rating. The hotel was so-so. It's a Ramada, so I expected a lot better. If I had stayed there during the on-season, I would have been very unhappy. I needed to get some work in, and had a horrible time with the wireless. When I called the front desk, they said try their tech support number. I found a wired connection, but the wire was located in such a place […] that I had to put my computer on the bed to use. It was really awkward and uncomfortable. I still had to call tech support. First the good: Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Location is great---right on the beach. The bad: Dogs staying on second floor (they are supposed to be on the first floor) barking was bad at times. Remote for the TV turned off when you tried to adjust volume (we weren't there to watch TV, but it was a little annoying when I tried to turn the volume […] up due to the barking dogs and it shut off). Hotel was wonderful - dinning at Pepercorns was great. The only problem was the heated pool was not heated and the hot tub was not hot. A bit disappointed in the condition of the pool. The area for the pets and the pet pick up station was very good.

Much better than previous years' accommodations. However, the hotel was in the middle of renovations. The heater fan in our room was terribly loud. Luckily, the quilts were very warm and the weather was great, so it didn't need to be one. Other guests were loud and up late, but that's not the hotel's fault. The hotel is going through a renovation and the front entrance and lobby is torn up. Access to the hotel is limited through the side and back of the hotel. The door leading to the oceanfront balcony was stuck shut. When we got it opened, it did not close all the way. So, we could not lock it. Defeated the purpose of having an oceanfront room.

Some renovations in process,hotel needs work, everything dated and worn,needs total renovation especially bathroom and new furnishings. Anyone with allergies should stay away since pets are allowed, ac filters not cleaned.

we lived in room 224，everyting is ok ,but wifi signal is too bad . we could not access the internet in room . so we have to ues our computer to access internet in the lobby .

We were on a fishing trip. The hotel is conveniently located on the ocean but you have to go through the indoor pool to get to the ocean. The narrow walkway by the pool and getting through two doors makes it awkward when carrying a surf rod and an ice chest. There was a mass of long hair stuck to the wall of our shower. When we arrived they did not have our reservation because their computers were down and the clerk didn't know what room to give us. She could not tell who had what room in the hotel. She finally gave us one and it was a normal hotel room. Probably could use some updates.
