This is not hotels.com standards. Decor was an ironing board. Pool area was absolutely terrible. Caliber of hotel guests very low. The hallways smell musty and were cluttered with refuse. Perhaps the economy is devastating them. We will not stay there again.

When we got off the elevator to head to the room there were people laying in the hallway and doors were open with people hanging out with out shirts on and being very loud. When we checked into the room someone else had either broke into the room or had received a key from the front desk. Very unacceptable! and extremely scary!! We plan to stay again for the experience was by far greater than expected. Granted, you have to know your way around in order to enter or exit but, that's only once.

Easy to find, very conveniently by the highway. Perfect location with a mall pretty much just across the street, walking distance, and a plaza. Nice staff, ice machine, AC and free Wi-Fi (acceptable speed too, which a seasoned traveler knows is pretty difficult to find these days...). The only downside is the noise from the fridge (which I had to turn […] off, couldn't sleep) and the AC, but that's of course up to you if you want to keep it on or off during the night. It's plain and simple, fairly clean, a perfectly OK hotel for its price. I will definitely come back. Mehr

The only problem that I could see was that the laundry facilities were very dirty and dusty -not very well maintained.

This place was terrible!!! I wouldn't take my pet there. I was told it was a new Facility and it was very old. The pictures on the website are not what you see in person. Old TV's no Plasma TV's. Rugs dirty construction cons on the floors. Problems with the keys and terrible management. I don't recommend this place to anyone!!!

I stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend for two nights on a whim. We had a very clean nice-sized room and were greeted with a professional and courteous staff. The breakfast was delicious and the location is a good distance between Clearwater and Tampa. I highly recommend this hotel and I look forward to future stays here.

This hotel was OK. It is an old hotel, the interior of the rooms and carpets are old. It was convenient for us since it was close to our destination. The breakfasts were nothing to brag about. I was disappointed but it worked for us this time.

The staff is great, the place is clean and modern. I'm a local and stayed here while my house was being renovated and I tell all my visiting friends and family to stay at Baymont. The attached restaurant is Japanese and fun and its within walking distance of other great restaurants and a large shopping mall. Close to beaches in Dunedin and short drive […] to either Clearwater or Tarpon Springs. Mehr

It was very difficult (in the dark) to get to the hotel, because of the overpass. There is no indication where to get off for the hotel. They also need new sheets, the contour sheets are so old, they do not stay on the mattress, as soon as you move the sheets come off and you are directly on the mattress.

Overall for this price the hotel was great but the breakfast was little poor.

This hotel is in need of a serious renovation. There was only one (of two) elevators working. The place smelled like a bowling alley on the second floor (old musty smoke). It looks like they may be starting to do some work on the hotel, but I would not recommend staying here until the work gets done. well located. suited or needs

This was the first time we stayed at the Baymont Inn at Clearwater. We came down from to visit family for Christmas. We were very impressed with the hotel. From check in to check out we had a wonderful time. The staff was great, breakfast was very good. The room was very clean and had everything you could need, mini fridge, micowave, coffee maker iron, […] hairdryer. The bed was very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again whenever we come down to Clearwater and we have already recommended this hotel to friends. Mehr

This hotel is apparently in the process of upgrade. The lobby was very nice but, I noticed it was also very warm. The counter person was very nice and our room pretty good. It was also apparent there had been some work done and things were on the up. The heater / fan / A/c unit sounded like a truck when running and the 5th floor had no ice machine , beverages, etc. going to other floors to get those things should not happen. We where also told that HBO was included and when we got to the room it was not available. I understand that this Hotel was in the process of making upgrades and repairs, But […] ...until those upgrades have been completed the cost of our stay should have been a little lower. For the most part we where satisfied , once we got past the loud A/c / fan noise and wandering around the different floors to find ice and beverages.. Mehr

The Baymont is a recently renovated hotel on the north side of Clearwater. The hotel is a good value and is animal friendly. The only issue I had was the colony of black mold growing in the shower.

This hotel looks nice on the outside and in the lobby looks nice, but the rest of the hotel badly needs to be renovated. Hallways and rooms have an odor. Our comforter and sheets had a very nasty smell to them when we arrived. The water in the shower was hard and left a film on you. Pool is outside on back of hotel, not directly attached. Pool is also […] only open from dawn- dusk. Breakfast in the hotel was actually surprisingly good compared to the rest of our stay. The walls are very thin in the rooms so you can hear everything going on in the rooms around and below you, along with anything going on in the hallway. This hotel is ok for the price and looks better than most of the other hotels around the same price in this area but is still not really worth the cost. The room itself was nice with the fridge and bed but the smell, nasty comforter, and sound (along with the terrible pillows) make it not worth the price. Mehr

The bed was comfy, the price was right, breakfast was good enough, but the bathroom was not clean enough. There was hair in the tub that did not belong to me.

This hotel looks great online and they did do a lot of upgrades that are nice. However, they stopped short. The walls in the bathroom were dirty, the door was old and the door knob was falling out of the door. The lamp shade in our room had stains on it.? We had been traveling for a while and wanted to use the laundry. The one washer only washed for […] 2 minutes and then went right into the rinse cycle. The laundry area itself was not updated or clean. Employees were friendly but I would not stay there again. The pictures were deceiving. Mehr

A solid 2-star place with large rooms but smallish baths. Pool is large but lacks furniture. Staff was friendly and accomodating. All in all, good value for the price!

Pool was clean , room was clean but bathroom was a little dirty like a hair was stuck to the hair dryer and was dusty in a few places. AC in room worked great witch is a must for florida, the TV worked but was like 1990 model. Free breakfast was alot better than other hotels i've stayed at with alot of choices and fruit and OJ.

The good news is the Hotel is very convenient location wise, however thats where the positive comments end..... Checked in after a long drive, Hotel was on the "older side" and it looked and felt like no one cared about it, it was dirty in common areas, did not care to eat breakfast after first day as I got a little upset tummy with curdled cream cheese, […] our safe and phone in the room did not work so we moved rooms within an hour of checking in (after unpacking etc.,) had stayed in another Baymont in TN and it was excellent so not sure what happened to this one... I stayed at this motel for a business trip and my adult daughter accompanied me so she could go to the beach and explore the west coast. Because of my business requirements we had to be in town early. The motel let her check in upon arrival like about 10AM and we were able to use the refrigerator to cool insulin. She also requested a late checkout […] and it was granted to her. These may seem minor but it made our stay much more enjoyable. The breakfast was continental but I liked it and took advantage of the coffee and fresh donuts both mornings. I could have had cereal but I really liked the donuts. Mehr

I wanted to leave a soon as I walked into my room. It smelled. The viw was a dirty parking lot. Breakfast was not good!

We loved the location. It was very conveniently located to where we needed to go. We would definitely stay there in the future.

i would not recommend this motel,because the rooms were awful and they had raw trash laying out in the parking lot beside the fenced in dumpster and the dumpster area was full of trash and beer bottles laying on the ground beside the rooms on the first floor.

Great Hotel for the price. It was clean and the service was very good. The breakfast was much better than expected. Loved being able to make fresh Belgian waffles!! Would stay there again in the future.

This hotels was actually very nice. The one bad thing I have to say about it is that they charge an extra per day for pets. I was very unhappy that this was not stated on the Hotels.com website. I usually like to book online, and this is something that I need to know up front, especially since when I travel I take my dog with me. I ended up paying extra […] on top of what I had already paid Hotels.com. So this did not make me happy. Otherwise the hotel itself was very comfortable, clean, ect. My recent stay at the Baymont was very nice for the price. The room was clean and the amenities were modern. My major concern with any hotel stay is the bathroom, because I am a very picky person and I will admit I was very pleased. I would stay again when in the clearwater area as well as reccommend this hotel to all my friends. The surrounding area […] was nice with options for casual dining, shopping and close to the beach. We've spent 2 nights and were happy with the hotel. The breakfast was very good with waffles and other reasonable choices. It was only 15 min drive to Honeymoon Island and very close to restaurants. The hotel is older and you can see some updates done to the place. The room was very clean and had comfortable beds. it is very close to the highway but […] the way it was positioned, you did not hear it. For the price we paid it presented good value and we would stay there again next time. Mehr

We stayed at the Baymont over July 4th weekend & were very pleased with the hotel. Reasonably priced, nice amenities, great location!
