"great place to stay"
after a very busy day it was nice to sleep in a comfortable bed, quiet hotel and very clean, up to date.
"good family experience"
The pool and hot tub worked well for our family. Pool has a nice-sized 3' end with stairs into it so our 6 year old could enjoy it. The pool was a little chilly for the adults, but the hot tub was great. The hotel staff was very responsive with extra towels and restaurant menus so we could order in pizza. The $15 extra we paid on-line to have breakfast […] included was nice. It covered all four of us and the buffet included bacon, sausage, french toast, eggs, make-your-own waffles plus all the normal continental options, fresh fruit, yogurt, juices, etc. If you're a foodie, it might not be up to your standards, but we enjoyed it. The only issue we had was noisy neighbors, literally from 2:00-5:00 a.m. We complained to the front desk, but it was New Year's Eve, so not much could really be expected. If you're a light sleeper though, beware that noise does come through the walls fairly easily. When they finally went to sleep, we could actually hear one of them snoring. Even with the noise issue though, we would stay here again. Our kids slept through it fine and overall we had a really nice time. A great night away from home in our own backyard. Mehr

Hotel is in a great location. Easy access to downtown and Independence if your going to the Truman Library. It's basically next to a business park so the area is safe and well kept. Rooms are nice with HD flatscreens. Pretty clean as far as I could tell. Would recommend to others.

Very clean. Nice rooms. Great price. The only bad thing was the breakfast! WAY over priced for what you got. AND I was charged $9.95 for my 4 year old to eat and she ate a half of a banana. Really?

We really liked the full hot breakfast served the Sunday morning we stayed there. It had fresh fruit (3 kinds), sausage, bacon, eggs (hard boiled and scrambled), fresh made waffles, great coffee, donuts, pastries, 4 different fruit juices, and cold cereal! I also liked the fact that we got our breakfast FREE with our Hotels.com room deal. My wife and […] I also enjoyed the hot tub at 7:00am Sunday morning. Drove to town for a meeting the next day. Laid my head down and never moved! Beds and pillows lived up to the Marriott reputation... very comfortable!

I absolutely loved this hotel. Plenty of pillows (even for me) super comfortable beds. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was very nice and an awesome value for our family.

"What you would expect"
Here on business which is why I write this review. This hotel has the worst internet service I have seen as a business traveler. Internet speed checks show connection equivalent to 2800kbps. That is half the speed of a 56k modem. Very disappointed as I can't even connect to my companies VPN due to connection speed.

Very clean!!! No funny smells, no funny stains, no dirty bathtubs. White sheets, comfortable bed, hot breakfast. Wi-fi would be nice, but still, clean room is first priority for me:)) Thank you.

"Great Room for the Money!"
We booked a King room with "separate seating area" and it turned out to be a full size pull-out sofa bed! It was perfect for our 7 year old daughter! We were very surprised that the room was as nice as it was for the price we paid for it. Will definately stay here again and have already referred our friends to stay here as well!

"Oustanding Hotel"

Really nice room, however, I was put in a handicap room when the hotel was obviously not full. Didn't mind, but would rather they put someone handicapped into the room instead of me. The hotel is layed out in an exceptional manner and the decor is very welcoming. We felt very coomfortable and relaxed our entire stay. The bed was assume.
"Perfect location for so much"
If you love to shop then this is the perfect spot, right down the street from tons of shopping spots including Town Center Plaza. If you love to site see then this is really only a hop away from 435 to loop around KC or to jump onto I-35. Room had a great balcony view of the Overland Park area but was also private setting back off the road. Employees were very helpful. Breakfast buffet was amazing and the jacuzzi really hit the spot. Highly recommend this place.
