Herrliches Hotel mit großen Zimmern, Balkon mit Blick auf den Jachthafen oder die Bay , Kühlschrank und warmen Frühstück in fantastischer Umgebung auf Shelter Island . Waren hier bereits zum 3. Mal. Parken derzeit nur $ 5 . Sehr freundliches Personal .

Das Hotel liegt günstig zu Old Town San Diego. Es benötigt mal eine Renovierung. Eine Lobby, in der man sich einmal hinsetzen kann, ist nicht vorhanden. Der Empfang ist aber freundlich und hilfsbereit. Empfehlenswert nur für Leute, die sich mit einem sehr einfachen Hotel begnügen u nd nicht viel Geld ausgeben wollen.

"Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis"
Die Lage des Hotels ist einfach prima. Man erreicht von dort problemlos und relativ zügig alle Highlights von San Diego wie Zoo, Sea World, La Jolla, etc. Die Zimmer sind sauber und ausreichend geräumig. W-Lan funktioniert hervorragend und ist kostenlos. Die Hotelangestellten sind freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. "Preis- und verkehrsgünstig"
Obwohl der Highway vor der Haustüre ist, war das Zimmer im hinteren Gebäude absolut ruhig. Der Preis ist supergünstig. Verkehrsgünstig - in 15 Minuten mit dem Auto am Mission Beach oder Little Italy. Auto ist ein muss, hier gibt es nur Hotels und Einkaufsmärkte.. WiFi im Zimmer, Internet-PC mit Drucker in der Lobby kostenfrei, ist aber häufig belagert. "gute Lage"
Das Hotel liegt zwar nicht in Down Town selber, aber mit einem Mietauto gut machbar. Zudem sind es nur 3 Fahrminuten bis zum sehr hübschen "Old Town", wo man auch den Zug bis in die Stadtmitte nehmen kann. Auch sehr praktisch gelegen für die Inseln rund um San Diego. "easy to get on n off freeway"
Very comfortable beds so soft yet firm best sleep around the corner from 2 grocery stores easy on n off freeway minutes from beaches I was very surprised kids loved the pool n the waffles in the morning I would go back
"Sparse hotel room, good location"
The hotel rooms was small and the bed was saggy. We were also told there would be a mini fridge and there wasn't. We were in HOT San Diego and it would have been nice to keep some drinks cold. The hotel staff was quiet and not very warm. Would not stay here again!
"worst place I have ever stayed!"
The people at the Ramada were the rude, the rooms had no locks on the doors (we had to move rooms twice). The toilet broke and they would not fix it, it came up off the floor. Apparently it was broken before we got there. One front desk clerk said they would give us a free night, but he failed to write it down so forget that! "service is a problem here"
Advertised as having capacity to print boarding passes. Not a big thing, but computer and printer were out. Guy behind the desk is just sitting there. We ask if he would mind using his printer to do it. Said no. I own a business. This is NOT how you take care of people. Esp when you advertise that that service is available. We asked if for extra pillows. […] No answer. No pillows. So just before we were going to bed, we called the desk. He said the hotel was out of spare pillows. What can you say to that? Mehr
"Not bad at all."
I used this as a little weekend getaway. I was satisfied. It was exactly what I was looking for, the next time I need one I will certainly look into staying here again. The Elevator here kind of creeped me out. I felt like It was going to stop and leave me stuck in it at any moment. Outside of that, Enjoyed my stay!
"Very old and not a good place to stay"
We decided to give this Hotel a try due to it being close to everything. But they charged for parking when they said it was free. The Hotel is old and the pool is small. I would not recommend this Hotel to anyone. Pay the extra money and stay at a better hotel. Trust me not worth it.

"Close to our locations of interest"
The hotel was nice. The stay was overall nice. The building was a little rundown. For example, the door handle fell off the door and the key cards didn't work in all the locations we needed to use them. The breakfast was nice especially the waffles.

"Stay somewhere else. Please."
Hotel was nothing like pictured. Broken shower rack, open electrical socket, no window screen, no room safe, spiders in hallway, malfunctioning elevator, water turned off without notice. The outside building had a large piece of missing stucco, a patio support that eroded left with caution tape around it. Maintenance is not a priority to this facility, […] at all. If you are looking for a hotel that is even decent to look at, stay somewhere else. The breakfast was as shown but served in an old "past it's prime" bar that once was functional. I have stayed in Ramadas in the past and nothing prepared me for the disappointment going and staying there. We aren't fancy people, but I would have been happier in a hotel 6 because you know what to expect and what you are paying for. Mehr

Mt daughter and I went 2 san diego 4 a wk an I was leary bout booking any hotel but the stay here was soooo great!!! Breakfast was absolutly great make ur own waffles every mornin. The variety of breakfast food was a great way to start our day. Staff was very knowledgable.Soo clean was just a great stay.

this is a place if you want to just stay and sleep then that is what this hotel is....we did have a frig and a microwave...its clean but an older hotel....i would stay again if i was passing by ....very reasonable for the price :)

The hotel is average but the location is great for seeing everything in San Diego. You can walk to Old Town and it is on I-8 and very close to I-5

"Great location - not so good hotel"
If you are looking for a hotel near all attractions and the quality of hotel is not of importance then by all means stay here. But if quality means something to you as it does to me, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The carpet is filthy. The bathroom and everything else seems in need of desperate need of TLC. To top it all off, one of the water lines […] broke and we didn't have water for over 6 hours which is not good when your in desperate need of a shower. Hair dryer didn't work and parking is limited. Oh and walls are paper thin. Not good if you're a light sleeper. Mehr
"Just right..."
Stayed for 3 nights and we were comfortable in the room. At first it was a bit warm but once the AC was on it was comfortable. I was a little hesitant at first but the price was reasonable so I decided to book it. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was great, a little quite but perfect for a family vacation. "ramada san diego"
Our hotel was conveniently located just off route making it quick to travel anywhere in the city. The only complaint was the mattress was extremely stiff and we both complained of backaches every morning.

I book a room with microwave and refrig. and didn't get it on checking in. I have a ask about it and the 2nd day they found another room for me. The free breakfast was very good.

Close to attractions in San Diego. Had 2 kids with me under 12 years old. They enjoyed making waffles in the morning at the continental breakfast. Saved a lot of money. Reasonably priced for San Diego. The light went out in the bathroom and the maintenance man fixed it within an hour. I should have got a microwave in the room. Everything OK.

"Upsetting."
I was upset during check out, because they told me they were going to keep 30 of my deposit because I had gotten make up on the sheets. Now, I have stayed in many hotels and being a woman sometimes I fall asleep with my make up on. And I wash my sheets at home with no issue of removing any trace of make up. So was angered and offered to take the sheets […] clean them myself and I would like to be paid for the work and 30 of my deposit back. They ended up refunding the 30 after quite a while of back and forth. The lady first handed me a card and told me it was the managers number and if I would like to speak with her call me number, So I did and it rang right to the same lady who gave me the card. But all was fine once I received my deposit back. The rooms were quite cleanly. Only thing is I was sleeping and the cleaning woman was knocking I asked her to go away, yet she came in anyway, I once more said no. And she just said something about ill just get the towels.. So I guess you can say they are thorough with cleanliness haha. Mehr
"Ramada-good location, thats about it"
The location of ths hotel is good--it is close to lots of the main attractions in San Diego and easily accessible from the freeway. We liked that the parking was free, but overall the condition of the hotel was rather poor. Our hotel room was in the building located at the back of the property--the door to get into the hotel was surrounded by flies, […] possibly due to the garbage can right by the door being full of trash, but this was rather offputting. Our room was right by the door into the building, as well as the pool and parking lot so there was constant noise all day and night. Also, the room itself was not very clean, the furnishings were very old and had seen better days, and for some reason all the pillows on the bed were about half the size of normal pillows which was odd. Even for an affordable hotel, we will not be staying at this Ramada again. Mehr

Hotel really needs a face lift; wall paper peeling in room and public spaces. Many tour groups stay here but very quite. Breakfast room very busy, the layout was awkward but variety OK. "Ramada plaza hotel"
The first room we got the bed was broken and the remote didn't work the second room we got the remote didn't work they came to fix it and couldn't and refuse to change us rooms again. We have them an entire day to fix the problem and still didn't. They day they have a breakfast buffet but its just continental breakfast in an old dilapidated building […] that use to serve as a bar its so spooky. Overall we will never stay there again! Mehr
