Room was horrible....stains on ceiling, rugs were visibly worn and missing material. Bathroom fixtures were gross, door was falling apart, and tissue holder was falling off wall. We were in town for a college graduation and had rented 4 rooms for 2 nights each room and were embarassed to have our family and friends stay in the rooms.

Great rate for proximity to the city. It is a $15 cab ride max to anywhere downtown. The room rate was far cheaper than the downtown hotels though.

Furniture and TV in room needs to be upgraded; very old; not what I expected for the cost of the room. Tried to adjust thermosat in room to make warmer unable to do so; fan contiuned to blow cool air with an outside temps at 37 degrees.

The hotel lobby was very clean and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable but my room was a bit rough. There was black mold under the wall paper in the far corner and the heat/air system would only keep my room 75* or 50* there was no in between temp. The beadspread looked clean but had an oder and I woke up with 3 bites on my face. Not sure where […] they came from because I throughly checked the bed prior to getting in. In the hotels defense I didn't complain or ask to change rooms, I was just too exhausted from a 4 hour drive. They do have wonderful room service and a personal pizza to die for but their rooms need some general maintenance. Mehr

I got a good price for the room, but it was nasty. The view out the window was basically the ground and a wall. You couldn't open the blinds because people were standing on the sidewalk smoking right outside the window. There were hundreds of kids for a basketball tournament staying the same night so there were high school kids running and screaming […] up and down the halls all night. The room itself look like it had water damage and was repaired by an amateur. The location of the room was directly across from the ice/vending machines so all night kids were buying soda and getting ice. The mattress should be taken out to pasture. It was so lumpy and the springs were popping out all over. I would not have let my family stay in that room. If I wasn't totally exhausted from visiting a sick relative at the hospital for 14 hours, I would have gone somewhere else. Mehr

Old beds, Old fixtures, Old rugs. The rooms in this place are very run down. Extremely overpriced hotel.

I was impressed with the polite staff when I walked in, but then I got to my room. I honestly could not believe this was a Double Tree. The room was dark, had a huge cobweb filled heater/air conditioner in the wall, an old tube TV, horrible bathroom, poor lighting. The workout area sits in the indoor pool area and is old. The hotel is going through […] a multi-million dollar renovation. I do look forward to it because the staff made this a lovely place to stay and location. Mehr

The address on the website is not the wrong address. We drove around for about 45 minutes to an hour only to end up at a house with the same address in a really nice neighborhood. If I hadn't already paid for my room I would have went somewhere else. The mattresses were so hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. The TV's need to be updated. The best part […] was when you check in they give you a warm chocolate chip cookie. That was nice. Mehr

We booked the Doubletree while we were in town for 2 baseball games at PNC park. The hotel was very convenient to the park (10 min drive). I was slightly concerned that the hotel was listed as being near the airport. I had visions of lots of traffic and noise and the general chaos that comes with an airport. But, this location felt almost residential. […] I never saw any evidence of the airport while we were there. Overall very happy with the stay. The room was clean, the staff was courteous. We even had a good late night dinner in the lounge. My only complaint, and it's minor, is that I was robber for $7 to print out 2 pages in their business center. Not unusual, but it did irritate me. the hotel advertised that free wi fi was available in the rooms (even was advertised in the room!) yet we were told they did not have free wi-fi unless we went to the lobby. the waitress at the restaurant in the hotel was rude and talked to me like i was stupid. the king sized bed felt like 2 different mattresses shoved together, one too soft and one […] too hard. not very pleased about this stay. The directions in mapquest took us to a residential neighborhood. The address to the hotel is not accurate on the advertisement. The beds were awful!! I have never had a hotel bed that was that hard and uncomfortable! The bathroom was so small a cruise ship bathroom is bigger and if if you have ever been on a cruise you know how small the bathrooms […] are. The staff was friendly. I would not recommend this hotel and was definitely not worth the money we paid!!! Mehr

Hotel address needs to be changed. Google maps took me to the middle of nowhere 30 minutes from the hotel. Do not use the 101 Doubletree address use the cross-street address. Also the room had a musty smell.

Wonderful concierge service Dependable shuttle too. Good restaurant except for waitress who asked us if we wanted a drink from the bar and told us to go get it at the bar....Disappointed in the policy of no cots if you have 2 double beds...In a mixed party of 4 there were 2 who preferred not share a bed so one had to sleep on the chair w /hassock.

The hotel was a very nice business hotel. Enjoyable though I was not on a business trip. The room was clean and well maintained. The front desk personnel friendly/quick to respond. The only area of question was the neighborhood (the block before entering the industrial park was somewhat depressed. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and my time […] in Pittsburgh. The Green Tree location is a good value considering its convenient location close to downtown and other areas with neighborhoods and restaurants worth visiting. The hotel itself was quiet and clean. We have no complaints. Overall, however, the hotel did have a dated appearance, both in its public areas and in our room, but again, a great value for the […] price. Mehr

Cleanliness of rear stairwell/entryway could use improvement. Limited lighting in rear of building where some guests enter. Suggest changing the type of door that guests enter at end of corridor/stairwell.

We requested a non-smoking room, it did not look good when we arrived and our room smelled like a chain smoker had camped out in it. BUT the friendly staff helped us switch to a nice, clean room in a jiffy. The pool and hot tub were a bit dingy but the sauna was lovely. We arrived late after a day of travel. Check in was smooth and painless. Finally got to the room and had to clean all counter surfaces (desk, nightstands, bathroom sink) On first glance, everything else seemed fine until checkout. We stood in line behind another customer who seemed to have minor complaints, although I overheard "bugs" "body hair" and […] "sticky door knob". He wasn't excited or loud, but displayed a good amount of concern. The clerk behind the desk wrote nothing down, made no comment of dispute, remorse or otherwise. She just nodded her head and said "oh" with each complaint then asked the man to have a nice day. Then it was my turn to complain...and I was handled the exact same way. No apology, no talk of discount, not even acknowledgment of our points, just "oh" and "have a nice day". Never staying there again and will look for alternatives to ANY Hilton...Doubletree or otherwise. Mehr

Excellent place to stay. Rates were more than reasonable and the hotel was clean.

Cheap hotel..not bad for price.the bed was hard as a rock though.you get what you pay for thats about it.if you use a debit credit card though they will hold forty dollars on it which you will get back in a couple days.

Stayed the same weekend they were hosting the regional Darts tournament. Need I say more? Nothing but a constant huge, loud drinking and smoking party EVERYWHERE in this "smoke free" hotel. Litterally hundreds of players and their family and friends. Not enough staff to control this group. Not the relaxing family getaway I had invisioned. I've stayed […] twice in this hotel. The first time I rated it a 4 - needing updating. This time is a much different story. I gave it a 2 instead of a 1 only because the bed was comfortable. I might give it one more try but will ask if they are hosting any events the nights I am staying. Mehr

Overall, a quiet and clean place to stay, just a few minutes from downtown, would stay again.

My Friend really enjoyed the cookies and it was great because we could get them whenever we asked! This hotel is not downtown so you have to take a cab or the hotel shuttle bus which is 10 dollars there and back. But if your going out to the bars the last bus to the hotel is at 11pm so your going to have to get a 20 dollar cab back to the hotel. I loved […] the swimming pool , cable and internet was free and that is not always the case at hotels. Overall it was a great stay the staff was friendly ! Mehr

The front desk staff was so friendly, however the cleaning staff was lacking. During the 3 nights that we stayed the cleaning staff was obviously in the room to restock however they never made the bed, just threw the duvet up and didn't straighten the pillows. If I am going to pay the amount that I did, I expect that my room would be better taken care […] of. Mehr

Everything was great....but the beds are abit decieving...look very plush with the pillows and comforter...but the mattress was not that comfortable. Also, I wouldn't put a coffeemaker on the bathroom vanity...not very appealing. Room did not have a fridge or microwave....had leftover food from late nite snack in the lounge...but no where to put it […] . Mehr

Great location in the midst of a renovation .we would go back.

This hotel is in the midst of ownership change. It was less than 10 minutes from downtown. Beds, pillows, and linens were awesome. Some new and some old things. TV, carpet, furniture was older (but clean) and we didn't really watch the TV anyway. Internet was free and had good connection. Would be nice to includes a frig and micro in all rooms. Service […] was fine. No free shuttle to downtown like other hotels offer. It was literally empty when we stayed yet they gave us no complimentary upgrades when I requested and they put us in a room with our beds up against the elevator shaft. Why? So we heard the motor idle at night and the occasional conversations, the dinging of the door opening, and the cables moving. We did not ask for a room change because it was pretty quiet on our floor (5th) otherwise. Plus we were so tired anyway, we just slept through it. No free continental breakfast. I don't think anyone ate in the hotel restaurant the 3 days we were there but it looked nice. We had the pool, jaccuzzi and sauna basically to ourselves. It was nice. The jaccuzzi needs some cosmetic repair but suited our needs. Had some nice workout equipment. All in all it was worth it . We reserved through Hotels.com and got the room for 3 nights for less than half of a downown hotel. Not bad for being so close to town. And parking was free. I will stay there again. Mehr

Firstly, the street address still shows up as 101 Radisson Dr., so we had to call the hotel, as our GPS would not display the correct route. However, the staff member we talked to was very polite. The front desk staff was polite and welcoming, and hotel was clean, well decorated (went around Christmas time), and welcoming. It has been 3 months since I last stayed at this hotel and there have been some noticable improvements. The hotel has changed hands from the Raddison and the hotel has been cleaned up quite considerably. The rooms are cleaner, the hallways are not cluttered with trash, and the restaurant is actually clean. The staff has always been cordial and helpful. […] This is not a 5 star hotel but for the money its a good place to stay. Mehr

Had a very nice time. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. However did not expect the shuttle to our venue, Heins Field, to be a big yellow school bus. Very bumpy not too comfy ride. The other Doubletree downtown had a very nice mini shuttle bus. Otherwise, a very nice and pleasant stay. Would definitely stay there again.

The room was very nice, clean and welcoming. The staff was very friendly! Great place to stay if going to a game, the shuttle is much cheaper than parking and the drivers are great!

I like staying there because it's $100.00 cheaper than Downtown but still has everything you need.
