The hotel was going through major construction. A warning to guests was given at the front desk that construction noise would occur after 9.00am.By the time i reached the hotel and found this out I was too tired to change my reserrvation. However I am unhappy that this was not advertised prior to my purchasing the stay for 2 rooms on hotels.com. The […] noise was bothersome. Mehr

The stay was fine and the service was exceptional. The only bad experiences were dinining accomidations off the hotel site, and the key card giving trouble.

I needed a quick overnight stay; I felt the price wasn't too bad & it served my purpose. The room was clean & very comfortable. I know where I'm going next time I need another quick easy stay. LOL

The Saddle River Marriott is tired and worn and not at all up to expected Marriott standards. HVAC system was old and inefficient. The system was noisy-- making sleep difficult-- and never brought the room up to the desired temperature. I requested a quiet room and was initially placed in a room on the first floor between two other guest rooms with […] signs on the doors indicating that they would be serving as the ladies restrooms for a large banquet that the hotel was hosting. Plenty of other rooms were available and I had to return to the reception desk to request a change. Service in the restaurant was very courteous and prompt. Mehr

No, No, No. No microwave, No Fridge, No HBO, No Free WiFi unless you complain then they'll give you a sign-on code. In fact, the first day there they had to turn off the water to all rooms between 9AM and 1PM for repairs. You know how inconvenient that was! However, they do have a very nice Gym if you actually have to stay here.

Hotel is reasonably priced and has a very nice indoor pool - great for kids. Only issue... I purchased breakfast when I reserved the room. When I checked in, I wasn't given my vouchers. My husband went back to the desk and asked for them. The person in reception initially said our room didn't include breakfast. He showed the confirmation, which clearly […] showed that it DID include the meal. Then the receptionist told him that the children weren't included in the meal. It took getting a manager involved for us to get our meal vouchers for two adults, one child and one toddler. This is the second time I've had this same problem with the prepaid breakfast. The breakfast is an all you can eat hot buffet, so it was worth the extra cost. It would just be nice to not have the hassle at the front desk over the vouchers. Mehr

My daughter wanted to stay in a Hotel with a swimming pool for her birthday so we chose the Marriott. The staff was very accomodating and got her a room right next to the pool. She and her friends went down to the restaurant to get drinks and they gave her drinks on the house for her birthday. She had a great time which is all I could ask.

This hotel hosts a lot of wedding parties, which is good for the hotel but not good for the individual / couple looking for a good night's sleep. There was at least one loud all night party on our floor that kept several paying customers from getting much sleep. (A few of us compared notes at breakfast time.)Management received several complaints but […] would do nothing to stop it. The "group rate" wedding business means more to them than the rest of us, I suppose. This also happened one other time when I stayed there a few months ago, so now I know this is not an isolated incident. I will never stay there again nor would I recommend this place to anyone. There are several other competitvely priced places to stay in the area, and I prefer to be able to sleep at night! Mehr

Older property but well maintained. Room and bed very confortable. ALL of the staff was very professional and accomodating. Great value. Only complaint was that the hallway was a little noisy.

Not your ordinary Mariott, interestingly nice though. Plenty of parking, bar open until 2 pm, indoor pool and restaurant. The decor is updated but you can tell the hotel itself is a little old. Not bad would stay again.

Very difficult to find the hotel using the information on hotels.com. I-80 took me to exit 153. Hotels.com gave me the hotel's phone number. I called the hotel they said go to exit 159 but that was closed and I had to get off at 156. They told me to put "Pehl" in my GPS. That didn't work. I had to call back. I finally got a workable cross street after […] lots of extra late night driving. First impression of the hotel: we arrived well after midnight and though the restaurant was closed and dark, the music was still playing on one side of the lobby and different music was playing near the front desk at the same volume. This was very uncomfortable to hear. When the restaurant is closed, shouldn't the music be turned off? Janell, Tracy and Kofi were wonderful helping us get into our room. Loved the room, but the entry to the bathroom was too small for me to help my my senior citizen dad go in to bathe. It is great for one person at a time, not two. The hallway carpet looks rather old although well cared-for. I enjoyed the breakfast. It was delicious! Mariness was my server and she was lovely. The cook who made my omelette and waffle was not informed enough to answer my questions. He was new and I understand. Instead of saying "you'll have to ask... (someone else)" why not say "the server (or hostess) knows the answer to this, Mariness! (or whoever) please help this person" or go get their attention. Mehr

The hotel was very nice and the rooms comfortable and well appointed. The king size bed was most luxurious and the rooms were comfortable. Had some difficulty getting access to the free internet, but didn't pursue this due to lack of time. Was also pleased that the parking was free. Breakfast was not included but could be obtained for an additional […] fee. I would definitely stay there again, provided we would get the special hotels.com room rate. Mehr

During our 3 day stay, the room was not cleaned one of those days and we returned to not only find it a mess but a ceiling tile fell in the bathroom and the bathroom was flooded with water. The internet connection was useless it was so slow.

FROM CHECKIN TO CHECKOUT WE WERE VERY PLEASED. THE FRONT DESK STAFF MEMBER WHO CHECKED US IN WAS DELIGHTFUL AND WHEN HE HEARD WE WERE THERE FOR A WAKE AND FUNERAL HE WAS KIND AND OFFERED CONDOLENCES. THE ROOM WAS BEAUTIFUL AND I GOT AN ADJOINING ROOM FOR MY DAUGHER WHERE A CRIB FOR THE BABY WAS PLACED IN ADVANCE. WHEN WE REQUIRED A COT, IT WAS PROMPTLY […] DELIVERED. IT WAS QUITE NOISY IN THE HALLS LATE AT NIGHT DUE TO 2 WEDDINGS. I ONLY WISH THAT WE WEREN'T PLACED IN AN AREA WITH SUCH LATE NIGHT CELEBRATORS . ALL IN ALL IT WAS A PERFECT STAY. Mehr

Room was terrific, new, clean and spacious. Hotel Manager was very gracious - he introduced himself and welcomed us to the free dinner and drinks. We will definitely return.

My husband and I had another excellent stay at your hotel ! The staff was as friendly as ever and the hotel so clean. Thank you for another peaent stay!

very very comfortable bed!! very difficult to find a complaint but one minor one would be that the bathroom door needed painting. thats all..overall great!!!

very nice, very clean hotel. Definitely book the room with the breakfast included. Well worth the extra to have breakfast incl. Some ceilings had water stains but this was a minor visual thing.

My mom and I were in NJ for just one night attending a gathering. We stayed at this hotel and we enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly, checking in was simple and the room was comfortable. Everything seemed to be clean. The bed was very comfortable, I had a wonderful sleep. The only bad thing was that everytime someone seemed to close their room […] door, it sounded like it was our room. The walls must be very thin. Our tv wasn't working at first so we called the front desk and they sent someone to fix it right away. We had no problems checking out. Everything was simple and comfortable. Mehr

A pain to get to from I-80 (it seems like you circle three times before you get there) but it is a great hotel with outstanding breakfast. Nice size pool, but it fills up with kids quickly this time of year. Great acoustics in that you hardly hear a thing that is going on. Marriott Saddle Brook-Great hotel! very clean and comfortable. A little noisey the first night, but no so much after that. I will definately use this hotel again and recommend to friends.

Room rate included hot buffet breakfast for 4 - room was comfortable and clean. Indoor pool very clean and warm, plenty of seats and towels poolside.

Very clean rooms, comfortable, service was excellent . We would recommend this hotel to friends and family

Nice hotel in excellent location on a direct route into NYC. Easy access. Room was clean and fresh. Bed extremely comfortable. Staff were courteous and helpful. The pool and fitness center were excellent--clean, comfortable, excellent and well maintained machines in the fitness area, very user friendly. We had a great stay!

Room was clean and very comfortable...beds were fabulous...clean, cofy, premium bedding, premium toiletries, excellent staff.

We drove from Washington DC. The room was clean with a pleasant view of NYC. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The Dunkin Donuts next door was an exceptional plus.

Everything was A ok!!!! Great Service!! Just no complimentary WIFI :-( The hotel does have a pool If i didnt have to work I would ve liked to enjoy it.

I would definitely stay at other Marriott Hotels. I just had an unpleasant experience with the desk management.

This hotel was wonderful, i had a wonderful stay the rooms are spacious very modern. it was great.

the atmosphere at the hotel was very nice I liked the pool set up and closeness of the parking lot.... the walls are a little thin but ... the hotel rate was good
