Das Hotel liegt in der Geary St. ein paar Blocks vom Union Square. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im zweiten Stockwerk im Mittelgang, was den großen Vorteil hat, dass man den Straßenlärm nicht mitbekommt, sondern nur den gelegentlichen Lärm den andere Gäste verursachen. Die Zimmer haben nur ein kleines Fenster mit einem wenig schönen Ausblick auf den Innenhof. Das Continental Breakfast besteht aus Kaffee, Toast m. Butter u. Marmelade, O- bzw. Apfelsaft u. einem Stück Obst. Problematisch ist die Parkplatzsituation, da gleich vor der Haustür eine Bushaltestelle ist und ansonsten i.d.R. nur Parkplätze für Kurzparker vorhanden sind. Das Hotel bietet für 30 $ p. Tag einen Valetparkservice an, d.h. es kommt jemand u. parkt das Auto irgendwo, was sehr gut funktioniert hat. Das Hotel liegt zwar in der Nähe des Unionsquare aber auch sehr dicht am Tenderloin Bezirk, den man vor allem Nachts meiden sollte. Insgesamt kann ich das Hotel vom Preis - Leistungsverhältnis weiter empfehlen!

Sehr zu empfehlen bei einen Zwischenstop nach Hawaii.Sauber, geräumig, Airport-Shuttle, freundliches Personal, guter Preis.

An Fisherman's Wharf sonnen sich Seelöwen bei den Geschäften am Pier 39. Nicht weit davon entfernt repräsentiert eine Schokoladenfabrik am Ghirardelli Square das süße Leben. Vom Pier 33 fahren Schiffe nach Alcatraz, und vom Coit Tower auf dem Telegraph Hill kann man die Stadt und die Golden Gate Bridge sehen. In der berühmten Buchhandlung City Lights in North Beach dreht sich alles um Literatur. Das Herz dieser historischen italienischen Enklave ist der Washington Square Park.

Es war alles in Ordnung. Das einizge das uns gestört hat, waren die hohen Parkgebühren von über 50 Dollar pro Nacht. Die Lage war sehr günstig ein ige Minuten vom Fishermans Wharf entfernt , die Innenstadt ist zu Fuß auch in ca. 25-30 Minuten zu erreichen.
"Gute Lage"
Das Hotel liegt sehr gut, man kann z.B. zu Fuß zur Anlegestelle für die Fähre nach Alcatraz oder zur Cable Car gehen. Das Hotel selbst war gut, allerdings war unser Zimmer sehr laut, da auf Straßenebene. Unbedingt beim Bestellen auf ein Zimmer in einem oberen Stock achten! the hotel was way too small, getting to our room was like going through a maze. rooms are small and the beds are not comfortable... too much noise on the street at night. "Good spot"
This Marriott was in a fairly good location, close to Fisherman's Wharf & about a 30 minute walk from Union Square. Watch when you are booking - we accidently booked a "parking package", where our parking was included in our rate ~ we didn't have a car, so they were able to change it to a breakfast package. This was a problem every morning because they […] couldn't change the coding on our room, so we had to explain every morning that it was supposed to be included. The staff was great about it, but it was a real hassle every day. Also watch your bill - they ended up charging us for some breakfasts after all. Overall, though, the staff was extremely courteous. Didn't like how they charged for everything - parking, breakfasts, even internet in the rooms. They have free wireless in the lobby, though. Mehr

I stayed at Marriott Fisherman's Wharf for the first time, on a three day business trip. I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very nice, and welcoming, and efficient. Everyone I encountered was great. I like my room and bed and amenities, and I would stay there again. "Comfortable, expensive parking, close to the Wharf"
Very comfortable hotel. Parking is $48/night which was unbelievable since there was plenty of parking on the street (not an option though). Not enough towels - called down and they were brought up 4 hours later. Read that the breakfast prices were very high so we ate next door at the Denny's in the Holiday Inn (as did many Marriott guests).

Excellent service at hotel, excellent location to transportation and fisherman's Wharf
"In the Middle of it all"
Loved the location just a couple of blocks south of Fishermans Wharf. Yet it was still a very quiet street. Able to walk to North Beach ( my favorite place ) and down to the wharf with ease. Many good eateries and shops. Will want to stay there again.

"one thing"
I booked a package deal which valet parking fee was included to the room price. After the stay, I realized that they charged me for the valet parking. I called the hotel and they, of course, agreed to give the money back. if you buy a package deal maybe you need to be a little careful to pay attention to your bill.
"San Francisco/Fishermans Wharf Mariott"
I don't usually take time to write reviews but this hotel was exceptional in that every staff member was so warm, friendly and helpful. All the givens were there---location, cleaniliness, updated look, ease of entrance and exit and parking--but the remarkable thing was the consistency of the staff.

A really nice hotel! Blocks (3?) from Fisherman's Wharf, conveniently located. I got the parking package and it was well worth it with parking in San Francisco! Really comfy beds, even had a refrigerator in room!
"GREAT HOTEL!!!"
This was the best hotel experience my husband and I have had!! The hotel is a few blocks away from pier 39 and fisherman's wharf!! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They have a great restaurant inside the hotel & valet parking!! This is the only place we plan on staying at when visiting S.F.!!!

"LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION"
This hotel is ideally located near Fisherman's Wharf and North Beach as well as trolly line. Staff is very friendly and eager to please. Parking is pricey but they do tell you about it up front.
This Hotel is great and will revisit again...Parking is a little highly priced...but we were able to leave our car at the Hotel after check out until 5pm...Great for us because we still had some sight seeing to do. Customer service was A+.

The Hotel was very nice an clean. It was close to shops and restaurants. If you have an auto to park overnight make sure your hotels fees include free parking otherwise you will pay an additional fee about $50 extra per night!

Great hotel, super friendly staff, nice size rooms with plenty of desk space, great quality bedding and shampoo/conditioner/lotion, a refrigerator in the room to store your leftovers from dinner, and a block or two away from the Cannery, Ghiradelli, the Buena Vista, North Beach, etc. I have only one complaint: no wifi in the rooms. You can pay for […] connectivity (and I don't understand why any good hotel makes you pay) but you have to literally plug in which is ridiculous. There is free wifi in the lobby however, and plenty of tables to set up at which is some consolation. If they fix the wifi in the rooms this place would be perfect. Mehr

Great beds! The hand soap is horrible but I LOVED, LOVED the complimentary lotion. We noticed that some people also received complimentary mouthwash and body soap (which would have been preferred over that hard bar soap). The hotel is close to everything at the Wharf. Consider getting the parking package.

"I was expecting more for what I paid per night"
Hotel was well maintained, however I expected more for the price. Room was small. Staff was courteous and helpful. Great location in the Fisherman's Wharf area. Breakfast is expensive. Walk a block up the street to Denny's in the neighboring hotel. Lots of other good dining options near the piers.

The entire lobby, restaurant, bar, and fitness center have been renovated which improves what was already a great location. A short walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, Embarcadero, Chinatown, Little Italy, and the Marina District puts a large […] volume of terrifc restaurants, bars, and clubs in close proximity, with punctual public transportation also accessible from the hotel for longer destinations. My husband and I stayed at the Marriott Fisherman's Wharf for our one-night stay in San Francisco prior to a cruise, and we felt it rates a solid 5. Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and pleasant, and they even upgraded our king room to an executive king when we checked in. "Marriott Hotel Fisherman's Wharf"
The staff at this hotel were AMAZING! They were courteous and informative. We ended up arriving in San Francisco a day late and had to cancel one night of our booking at the last minute but they refunded us for the night without any hassle. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Bay area.

In order to be closer to the SF airport for our early morning flight home to Philadelphia, we decided to stay in San Francisco for the final leg of our trip (we spent the week in Napa). The Marriott SF Fisherman's Wharf was ideal -- location, location, location!

I dont want to pay $3.50 for water thats in the room if I'm thursty. I said for two so why was there only one bath robe? Everything else was awsome! The most comfortable bed I ever slept in and the bar? Aswome.........

Marriott Hotel travelers I find are loyal to Marriott because the level of service, the food quality and the room and hotel are without fail, at least for me in 25 years, consistent. The Hotel staff was excellent while the Marriott Hotel Room and furnishings fell well below a Comfort Inn. I felt sorry for the staff who had to face the shocked people […] who like me fly across Country to land in comeplete disbelief. The Staff quickly refunded my money and worked with me to find my way to the Fairmont. The food by the way was up to Marriott quality its just the hotel is a dump - popcorn ceilings, not the prized Marriott bed or bathroom. THe room was very small and the bathroom was as clean as it could be for being the old dump that it is - do not be fooled by the disclosure they remodeled. If they did it was the lobby and the hallways. Thenicest thing about the room was the wooden door upon entry. I still love Marriott Hotels and like I said feel sorry for the staff who has to pretend to go along with this whole sherade. Mehr
