The Carlton is the Carlton. It's opulence, beauty, impeccable service and great food is consistent with this hotel over all the years I have visited. HOWEVER, for the four days of my recent stay, my other friends stayed there (on various floors) and I, were really offended by the imminently bad sewer smell that permmiated the hallways and other parts […] of the hotel, such as the lobby lounge area. This hotel is the best in class I have ever been to. Our company will be staying there again. The service and staff are absolutely the best in professionalism and friendliness. If you are looking for a real true 5 star treatment, the Carlton in Cannes is the hotel I reccomend highly.

It smelled from sewer and it was very hot at night. Could not control temperature of room. It badly needs to be renovated. It is definitely not a 5 star.I was extremely disappointed. Rooms are oldish, comfort is average. Lot's of hype due to great location and Cannes film festival. Needs a complete restauration.

Beautiful hotel - perfect location - incredible staff - would recommend if you are looking for a little slice of heaven!

Faded elagance our room on the 5th floor had disturbing noises of the staff rolling trolleys from 7am each morning to 5pm each afternoon. when we advised staff on our depature they were unconcerned. we complained by e-mail and received a standard reponse thanking us for the complaint but basically unconcerned.

Hotel Carlton in Cannes is superbly situated overlooking the bay and surrounded by restaurants, bars and buzz. The hotel is a tourist magnet and at times there are large numbers of non-guests outside, posing for photos on the steps or taking photographs of the flashy cars around it. It's an expensive hotel and is not for those on a tight budget!l The […] staff are extremely attentive, friendly and polite. The hotel is about to commence significant refurbishment - a key negative is the lack of swimming pool currently but this will be rectified in the revamp I understand. The private hotel beach is small, and packed, and the daily charges for using sunbeds are somewhat exorbitant. Nonetheless it's a great experience to stay at the Carlton and one I'd recommend. Mehr

The noise cancellation of the rooms is not sufficient. Among other shower noise and toilet flush noise from the room above ours kept us awake at night.

From the reputation I expected to be wowed upon entering my room in the Carlton. I wasn't. The room would have been okay for a 3 star, mid priced hotel. The hotel itself was lovely and the location is ideal. However, my room overlooked the back alley. I kept the curtains drawn so as not to be seen by delivery workers or others I saw out in the alley. […] Although I didn't see actual dumpsters I felt like I had been given probably the worst room in the hotel in terms of location. It's the Intercontinental Carlton Cannes. What more do you need to say. The service is amazing, location is great, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. The hotel lobby is beautiful. The rooms are a bit older, and could be a bit updated. The bedding was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They were pleasant and were an asset to the establishment. The phones are old, and had some difficulty making calls. The view from my room was facing the other rooms but a partial view of […] mountains. Construction going on in and around Cannes, this created a little bit of morning noise but nothing unbearable. I was particularly pleased with the staff when I had to reschedule a night for a different night and their willingness to do this without issue. It is across the street from the beach, though be prepared. All beach areas charge to rent chairs for the day, but this was for all the areas along the main street next to the water where all the hotels have a section of beach property. Gammeldags luksus i oppdatert versjon, med en usedvanlig profesjonell og vennlig stab. Et sted man bare kan trives - om enn noe i overkant prismessig, selv for den særdeles hyggelige opplevelse dette hotellet gir.

Vi har boet mange gange på dette skønne hotel- intet at klage på- dejligt i mødekomment personale-Skønt bar område-servicen er bare i top- dog lige en lille ting, som vi selv også har gjort hotellet opmærksom på- Restauranten og servicen DER er IKKE et 5 stjernet hotel med det Navn værdigt!

Nous revenons d'un séjour à l'hotel Carlton, et nous en sommes ravis. Nous avons été surclassés en chambe supérieure qui était d'une superficie généreuse (35 mètres carrés). La salle de bains était superbe avec une baignoire, une douche et WC séparés. Un vrai palace. Les travaux de rénovation seront néanmoins bienvenus pour donner un coup de neuf. Vi hadde et supert opphold på et virkelig 5 stjernes hotell. Meget vennlig og god service. Beliggenheten er super og stranden helt topp. Kan anbefales.

Flott hotell med höga rumspriser och lyxig atmosfär men urusla och eftersatta rum. Hotellet (rummen) behöver en seriös renovering. Endast hotellets läge och lyxiga inramning är ett plus resten hamnar på minussidan. De glömde nattbädda 2 nätter i rad och rummet vi fick var väldigt litet för ett 5-stjärnigt hotell. Kul med mkt kändisar på hotellet men […] hade gärna bytt ut dem mot ett fräscht rum istället Mehr

c'est un palace, tout est en rapport avec sa renommée et les prix deviennent plus abordables grâce à des sites tels que le vôtre.....

Vi hadde et supert opphold og ble ved ankomst møtt av hotellets blide og serviceinstilte betjening. Det finnes sikkert hotell i området som er både nyere og har bedre teknisk standard, men atmosfæren gjorde at vi valgte Carlton som vår base for oppholdet i Cannes. Første dag hadde vi tekniske problemer med toalettet. Da dette ikke lot seg reparere tilfredsstillende […] fikk vi uten videre diskusjon et annet rom som hadde bedre standard enn det opprinnelige. Hotellet har en suveren beliggenhet som gjorde vårt opphold ekstra hyggelig. Mehr

già vecchi clienti torniamo sempre e volentieri. L'ambiente è all'altezza della sua fama. Questa volta abbiamo prenotato tardi e non abbiamo avuto la splendida vista diretta mare e il tipo di camera che avremmo preferito, ma tutto è andato benissimo lo stesso : piacevole l'ambiente bar per tè e aperitivi con accompagnamento soft di musica in sottofondo […] ,sarebbe però preferibile che ci fossero collegamenti tv anche con avvenimenti sportivi interessanti Mehr

Had a long weekend in Cannes in November, so a bit off season for riviera vacation. This is a truly marvelous hotel!! The checkin area is great, they even speak Norwegain there. :) The hall was decorated with fresh flowers, and the room was marvelous. Fantastic bathroom!! Got a room on the side of the hotel, with partly sea view, not the cheapest room […] but definately worth it. The breakfast using roomservice was *expensive*, €86 for two persons, my most expensive scrambled eggs ever!!! The food in the hotel restaurant on the other hand was excellent, and the service was outstanding!! Mehr

Ett underbart vackert hotell beläget med perfekt läge på Croisetten. Utsikten från balkongen var enastående och rummet vi hade på våning 6, var mycket rymligt och elegant. Hotellets personal var genomgående toppklass!

Posizione incantevole. Accoglienza impeccabile: ci e' stato offerto un upgrade gratuito da doppia classic a superior. Colazione favolosa. Ambienti sontuosi. Nulla da eccepire. Non vediamo l'ora di ritornare.

Hotel magnifique,personnels super acceuillant,chambre trés soignée et magnifique,petit dejeuner trés trés copieux,et de trés bonne qualité,tout etait trés bon,enfin un reve de petite fille qui c'est réalisé avec une grande satisfaction.Merci nous reviendrons et recommandons la visite.Un 5 étoiles digne d'elles.

Abbiamo trascorso un long week end in questa struttura trés chic. Da sottolineare la capacità di tutto il personale dell'hotel di capire le nostre richieste ancora prima di finire le frasi per chiederle! Non mi era mai capitato in tanti anni di frequentazioni di hotel di lusso.
