My partner and I stayed at the hotel for our anniversary. The staff were polite and helpful. There was some discrepancy over the breakfast as i had ordered a full breakfast for us both yet the hotel had not got a record of that but it was soon rectified. The hotel corridors are beautiful and it feels 5*, however the room was not quite so luxurious. […] The room was a superior king sized room. It was spacious but lacking in the little luxuries that make a hotel 5*. The bathroom was less than average. It was tiny, the sink was cracked and the cover of the tissues was broken so they kept falling out. I was very disappointed with the bathroom. The breakfast the following morning was very very busy and we had to wait to be seated. The service was very slow and we had to wait a long time to be served. Overall we enjoyed our stay, however i have stayed in far superior 5* hotels in London and this would not be my first choice next time. Mehr

The Mayfair apparently attracts quite a lot of celebrities who like staying there, but unfortunately I did not come across any during my stay there. Not that I was hoping to meet any celebrites of course, but that would have been a bonus. =) Just staying at this hotel at times makes you feel a tad celebrity-ish though, as there quite often is a bunch […] of people at the front door trying to catch sight of celebrities or just waiting for people before they head to the Mayfair bar or something. Location-wise, this hotel is fantastic. A short 2 minute walk to Green Park tube station which is just around the corner; which has 3 lines running through it, thus you can get pretty much anywhere in London pretty quick and easily. It is also just about 2 blocks or so from Bond Street, where you can shop for just about any brand, and this shopping street links you up with Oxford Circus for even more shopping once you reach the end of bond street. Also, it is very walkable from Mayfair to Leichester Square, where can catch all the musicals every night. (Just about a 15 minute walk away) Great value for money if booked early through Hotels.com, but believe would be quite pricey for last minute bookings. Would stay there again if I'm headed to London in the future! Mehr

As soon as I arrived I was made to feel welcome. I went there as a birthday surprise for my boyfriend as soon as The receptionist saw that I had brought my own mini champagne and cake, she offered to have somebody to set it all up for me. From the moment we came we find ourselves facing a problematic service that is not typical for a 5 stars hotel. First they told us that they will upgrade our room to a bigger room, but they forget to tell us that the Room will be next door to noisy construction work in other room. Since the first day the maintenance service was not as it supposed to […] be in such an Hotel, for example although asking from the front desk at list 6 times we were waiting to get show polish sponge and spoons for more then 2 days. Although asking to clean the room – in some cases we had to remind the front desk that we did not received this service. Our messages to the “duty Manager” and our request to talk with him were never answered. At the end of the day this hotel is busy in being “cool” instead of in providing good service – in this price and in this area you can find better options Mehr

this hotel is in the best location. very posh. most comparable to a W Hotel in Times Square NYC.

The hotel was very nice and the food at the main restaurant was excellent.

The May Fair hotel in London was a great place to stay. It is centrally located near all of the major attractions. Also, if you are a "star gazer" this is the place to be. The paparazzi is camped outside this hotel all the time. The room was large for a European hotel room. The only odd thing was the shower in our bathroom. Impression is that rich people lives in this hotel. It has its own business-centre where you can use internet included in the room-rate. Nice surroundings with good atmosphere. Excellent location close to Green Park and the tube. Tesco and similar shops in neighborhood. Very nice service at breakfast. Bathrooms are very comfortable even if the toilet […] was a little cornered making it difficult to sit down and the bath-tub television was out of order. Other minus was the long wait for elevators and also slamming of doors from the corridor which we heard too well. good location, tried to check in at 4:30 and had to wait over an hour

Very comfortable, great service and friendly, professional and non-stuffy staff. The spa was terrific.

This hotel is a must if you wish to stay somewhere which is modern, clean and luxurious. Check-in was quick...was given a free rewards card to use at any Radisson Edwardian. The room was average size, not sure I could stay in it for a week, was only there for one night, the bed was lovely and comfortable however. The bar in the hotel is the new "hot […] spot" for celebs...not that I saw any on my Friday night stay, but it sure was busy and very atmospheric. Hotel is across the road to Nobu where I dined, and is next door to Green Park tube station, so is in easily located and accessible. Would definately stay again. Mehr

It was not the fault of the hotel, but the two nights that I stayed there, there were loud, boorish guest traveling the hallways at all hours of the night. I was awakened several times during both nights with multiple other guest talking, laughing, yelling in the hallways. No respect for other guests. Again, not the hotel's fault but I would rather […] stay where the other guests are a bit more concerned for their fellow guest. Other than that, the hotel and room was clean and well cared for but I did not feel that the price paid (even with Hotels.com involved) gave that much additional service. My stay was OK but there are certainly better values and better locations to be had for the casual traveler. Mehr

The only negative aspect of the May Fair Hotel was the lack drawer space and the room was a little on the small side for a 5* establishment.

Very nice hotel, especially considering the low cost. However, it could use another 3 elevators as there was always a long wait for an elevator. We had a hard time getting staff to answer the phone, and we had just gotten settled into our room with our pajamas on when a fire alarm caused an evacuation down 11 flights of stairs. That could have had something […] to do with our inability to get staff to answer a phone, but we never found out what the alarm was all about. Maybe it was just one of those things..... Mehr

On checking into this hotel we were told that they have over booked and did not have a room for us! We were told that we would be booked into the hotel's sister hotel on Tottenham Court Road. After much debating and 35 minutes later we were able to sort out the room situation with the guest relations manager who was very apologetic and promised to sort […] out a room for us and sorted out drinks for us in the bar. We were also given complementary breakfast the following morning. Notwithstanding this hiccup we were very impressed with the hotel and loved the location very close to Picadilly Mehr

room comfortable and roomy for central London and good value. breakfast buffet delicious and relatively efficient and speedy if you are in a hurry. Great bar.

I chose this hotel as a treat for myself and my partner. Although pricey it lived up to my expectations. We did expect a bit more from the selection of movies and compensation for disturbing our sleep with the fire alarm but overall it was ok for the price. Loved everything about this hotel except that I had no option for bar soap. Only liquid bathing soap supplied. Left there to stay at the Hilton for a meeting. Paid double the price of Mayfair and got half the service with rude receptionists! Should have stayed at Mayfair the whole time!!

This was an excellent hotel with great customer service. The room was a great size and it was very clean and had everything we needed throughout our stay. There was a starbucks right around the corner and we could walk to new bond street and to picadilly circus and tons of other nice restaurants in the area. definitely recommend!

My room was not ready until 4pm. Several guests experienced this problem. Without any complaining from me, however, the front desk person comp'd me tea and scones in the lounge while I waited. Overall, it ended up OK. The concierges are very nice and very helpful.

I really don't even know what to say. As the cab that had been hailed for me was no more than 5 feet away a bellman leapt in front of me and put someone else's bags in the taxi. He didn't even provide an explanation until confronted. Then he made up a lie about this taxi accepting credit cards, which was nonsense as the next one did as well (i paid […] with credit card and still have the receipt). When I emailed the manager upon my return, he bought the bellman's story, and ended the email with we look forward to seeing you again.... THERE ARE LOTS OF GOOD HOTELS IN LONDON...AVOID THIS ONE AT ALL COSTS!!!! Mehr

We stayed at this hotel as were in London for a gig in Hyde Park. It was a great location for Hyde Park but also for sightseeing in general. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even when we rolled in around midnight in our festival scruffies!! The hotel facilities were very good, great bar and food and excellent check in/out service. Nice hotel in a good spot but the neighborhood has gotten very very loud and the hotel has a lot of functions all the time in the lobby and the party rooms which makes the place a real zoo most of the time. When you're in your room it's okay, but the time getting to your room and waiting for the elevator is not all that pleasant. It's a good hotel but […] not a great one my any stretch.. Mehr

This hotel exceeded our expectations relative to quality for the money in a London hotel. This is a 5-star hotel in the heart of the high class neighborhood of Mayfair, with easy access to the Tube, the tour buses, shopping, Buckingham Palace, etc. The rooms were typical European size, but very well decorated and and supplied. The Mayfair hotel was exceptional. Great service, friendly staff and in a perfect location, 30 seconds from the tube station and very central to everything. I will be returning.

Fabulous hotel in a great location!! Walk to the tube, fine dining, cafes and night life. Could not ask for a better location. The hotel itself was first rate, there were actually Paparazzi camped outside the hotel all the time as it's frequented by the rich and famous and it had a lively happy hour scene. This hotel was in the middle of it all. The staff were wonderful and the bar has a happening night life. The Spa is wonderful, but you need to book in advance in order to assure that they can accomodate you. I would highly recommend this hotel.

No primeiro dia me colocaram em um quarto péssimo, mínimo e sem qualquer semelhamça com o que constava no site do hotel (368). Após reclamar, no dia seguinte, me deram um novo quarto condizente com o que eu havia reservado. Os amenities ficam todos presos na paredes e o secador de cabelo tb, nada típico de um hotel que se entitula 5 estrelas. Tirando […] isso, o segundo quarto que eu fiquei é espaçoso, limpo e confortável. O bar do hotel é excelente! Voltaria ao hotel, mas com outra expectativa. Mehr

A estadia foi excelente, o serviços muito bons, especialmente dos conciérges, que resolvem tudo para nós.

My flight was late, so I arrived to the May Fair hotel 15 hours later that expected. When we finally arrived at the hotel, we found out that the room wasn't ready yet. We should have waited for 2 hours to get to our deluxe room (which was paid already in advance) or accept a smaller superior(?) room. So, in that sence i was really disapointed. Otherwise, […] everything else was (location, friendly staff etc.). Anyway, my experience of not having a room which I paid for makes me to choose another hotel next time. Mehr
