Hallo, haben eine Nacht im Hotel Conrinental in South Beach Miami Florida verbracht. Für die Lage ist dieses Hotel recht preiswert. Beim Betreten der Zimmer kann man dann aber auch sehem, was diesen günstigen Preis ausmacht. Echt richtig siffig und runtergekommen. Ich stelle ja gar nicht so hohe Ansprüche an günstige Hotels aber sauber sollten sie trotzdem […] sein. Das Bett war echt der Hammer,. Ich weiss nicht wieviele Personen schon vor uns in dem gleichen Bettzeug geschlafen haben. echt lecker. Das Bad löst sich auch in seine Bestandteile auf. Aber günstig und zentral ist es. Leider ist das Hotel trotz hervoragender Lage in sehr schlechtem Zustand. Der Putz kommt von der Decke, Klimaanlage funktioniert nicht, putzen u. Betten machen sind Fremdwörter. Typischer Hotelstandard in South Beach zu diesem Preis. Das Haus hat sicher schon bessere Zeiten gesehen und wurde seit vielen Jahren nicht mehr renoviert. Aber es deckt einen Markt ab, denn teurere Hotels gibt es in South Beach massenhaft. Vom Hotel darf man und bei dem Preis nicht allzu viel erwarten. Pool war OK, direkter Strandzugang. The hotel is going major renovations, which isn't reflected on the website, there was no cable, no internet, no pool. It really was poor by hotels.com and the hotel that they didn't communicate this when booking.

This was by far, the worst hotel I've stayed in, in the United States. It was filthy. Completely dirty. No working electrical units. Phone didn't work. Is undergoing a well needed renovation, though they should probably just demo it and start all over again as this hotel was a hot mess!!

The hotel is under construction and it smells like it all over it. All the walls look like "under construction". The tv cable is so poor you barely see what you are watching. They should not be selling the rooms until they are done with this construction, it was very dissapointing. The views are not at all to the beach but to another very close building's […] windows. The beds are a hundred years old. The room was dusty. I didn't want to touch anything, it seemed so dirty! The hotel location is very well.However; The hotel room is not clean. The bed was old. The swimming pool is not in use. The hotel offers the newxt hotel's swimming pool. It looks like the hotel will be in much better condition in 2013.

The hotel smelled like mold. The appearance is nothing like the photo. The rooms was disgusting bathroom water was dirty didn't even use there sheets to sleep used our towels that we purchased at the gift store.. Would never go back. Lastly the key for my room didn't work had to go back to front desk to help open the door. Terrible

I stayed with my family for a week. Many days the hotel didn't have water because the hotel is under construction so its a big mess. The elevators got stuck several times. Also they advertised that the hotel has a pool, however the pool was also under construction. My advice is don't book this hotel pay a little extra and get a better hotel.

This hotel shouldnt even be listed on hotels.com due to the fact they are under major renovations. Had no idea this was the case when I booked the room for the one night stay. The cab driver wouldnt even drop us until he went inside and verified it was actually an operating business. Do not stay here. Pictures are deceiving.

Disgusting doesn't begin to describe the level of uncleanliness this hotel represented. While the website of the hotel indicates heavy construction, it doesn't allude to the fact that the hotel looks condemned. I understand construction is a necessity for renovations when you are trying to keep up your brand for a tourist-driven area, but while half […] the hotel is under lock and key, what is the problem with keeping the available rooms presentable and sellable for use? The rooms that the staff were so eager to sell look as if they have been sitting vacant and dirty for at least 6 months. Had these realistic photos been posted on the hotel's actual website, I would not have wasted my time or money; however, the photos on the hotel's website lead travelers to believe this hotel is at the same level of quality as a Wyndham. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone and I will tell everyone I know visiting Miami Beach that they should steer clear. Mehr

Absolutely horrible! The hotel looked like a demolition site. It did not even look open. When we first got there, the entrance was blocked off and there was like a dumpster there and all this construction material because I believe they were doing a renovation. No one was behind the desk when got there and we had to look around and call out for someone […] to help us. The room was sweltering hot and the air conditioner was not working. The room just looked old and outdated. They had an old outdated tv as well that did not even have an air conditioner. At one point, my girlfriend and I wanted to take showers and there was no running water at all. We had to go and complain to staff downstairs and then they turned it back on like 20 minutes later. And when the water was turned on, it was brown in color and stained the floor of the tub! Lastly, as we were checking out, we parked our car in the round driveway in front of the hotel so we can easily put out luggages and suitcases into the car and when we went back upstairs the employee behind the desk called a tow truck to come tow our vehicle, even though I told him we were checking out. It was just a horrible experience. I would not advise anyone who loves themself to stay there. Mehr

Hotel is under construction/renovation and overs no aminities but there are several restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Hotel A/C is only operational in the evenings so the rooms are warm during the day. Only + is that it is on the Ocean but you need to walk a block around hotel to get to the beach due to renovations.

This stay was horrible. When my friends and I were looking for a hotel for our first time vacation in South Beach this place seemed to be affordable and the pictures looked amazing. We were decieved. When we arrived the air conditioning was not working in our room. The room was dirty we did not sleep underneath the sheets. The hotel is under what appears to be very slow renovation. This fact was not disclosed in the Expedia profile of the hotel. The pool area is abysmal and the hotel while in a good section of SOBE is sorely in need of serious upgrading.

the overall experience was not horrible, but the parking situation was ridiculous. I got charged $100 to park my car at the most convenient place possible because the hotel had no valet or no parking. The room was cozy for what you are paying for, it isn't the W Hotel or Fountain Blue.

I booked the hotel for 3 day we only stay the first night, the hotel was dirty, it smelled like weed and cogaretts even thought it was a none smoking, we could hear the people from the next room and smell the weed, I was there with my kids and the next morning we woke up with the noise off construction, and we got up and booked another hotel.

I was satisfied with the location, the pool, the access to the beach and the conditions in my room, but I was not happy with the TV service (defficient), the elevator service (only one working), and the poor advisement at front desk regarding parking and breakfast options. The Continental Hotel should be closed down until all renovations and construction is done. One elevator is completely out of service and the other one works when it wants to and sometimes it won't stop on certain floors.

half the hotel was under much-needed refurbishment. Only one elevator worked, and the workmen seemed be taking everything in and out through the one public elevator. Hotel, needs some updates. Staff was friendly, parking was infront of hotel, could go and come as pleased. No parking or valet parking, but I paid and was able to. Room was spacious, neat, clean, had mini refrigirator, vault, iron, hair dryer, towels, view of the ocean and pool, wi-fi, limited tv channels. On the beach can rent chases, umbrellas, etc. […] not from hotel but they have services. No restaurant for breakfast, but there is room service. Near everything, walked to Lincoln Road shops and restaurants, it was great! Is a shame this hotel in its hayday was beautiful. The hotel staff were very polite and tried to be nice: however first room was disgusting and the hallway smelt like a sewer. The hotel is cheap therefore packed with young party beachgoers (was kept up until 4:30 by loud obnoxious drunks and finally called security) They moved me to a new floor which was cleaner and quieter. if you do not care about […] any amenities; would have been nice to have a coffeepot but I probably would have been afraid to drink from anything in that room. Otherwise the location this hostel has no value. almost zero maintenance. You won't find cheap hotel at south beach. Book a hotel either little far from south beach or spend more money.

My friends and I stay was cool in the city,but as far as the hotel I can't say the same. One good thing I would say is the shower pressure was great but I was disappointed when I saw that we had one towel in the room and when I made the reservation I put down four people will be in the room and when we went to the front desk to as for more they told […] us sorry no more towels and we gotta wait until 8:00am the next day. The television was tiny and the headboard for the bed was taped!!!!! The hotel needs a definite renovation inside and out. When we entered the room the towels were wet. The pool area was not cleaned with cigarette butts and gargabe allover. the hotel needs an extreme makeover.The staff tried to be helpful and told me the hotel was a 1 rating. thats why we got the service we got.

HORRIBLE. Should really be shut down by health inspectors. They tried to put me in a room that was damp with the odor of mildew hanging outside of the room. You have to ask for wash clothes as they do not give any out. Thank goodness I travel with my own towels and clothes. Having that hotel on the strip like that is a diservice to that area. It was a real bad exp. with a 5 yr. old kid. People go here for lots of boozing. You can smell all kind of smoke all over the place of this hotel. We had to complain about the uncleaned room (may be people did no. 1 or no. 2 on the carpet). They gave us a second room on 6th floor, little better than on the other one. But too much noise all night, no […] one cn sleep. Not a family friendly hotel at all. People come here to party and sleep all day. Very shady environment all over. The other reviews about this hotel are dead correct. It's a great beachfront location, but everything else about it is pretty sad. The hotel is in serious disrepair.. leaking ceiling, got stuck on the elevator, paper thin walls. If you plan to stay here, just know what you're getting yourself into.
