Budgetel Inn and Suites - San Antonio

Bad stay at this hotel, The room was stinking and had to get a change in the room. Not maintained well.

I stayed for 3 nights and 2 days due to a family wedding. The hotel was pretty reasonable, but you get what you pay for you. It wasn't a bad hotel, the beds and rooms looked clean but the hotel itself was pretty old. The service okay. For the prices the other hotels were I would stay here again.

It wasn't as up to date or clean as I expected. We saw a roach in the bathroom at night. Wasn't pleased with our stay.

hotel was nasty was scared to use there bath towels ended up going to walmart to get towels and even showered with flip flops on. Used my towel to put over my pillow. Very nasty would not recommend or stay again.

Very nasty hotel, holes in walls, tub was dirty, beds very uncomfortable. Would never stay at again.

The website pics is not the real thing. The pool was so nasty it was green. The rooms are smaller then a bedroom, half the hotel is abandon. It look like something off a horror movie. The people were nice but the hotel it self was not worth the money i spent

Fake photos (maybe Photoshop). Dirty entrance and horrible elevator. Small rooms. Bad breakfast (old pastries!!) Orange juice and coffy like "dirty water". There are many other hotels in the area.

FOR THE PRICE OF THE ROOMS, I CANT COMPLAIN MUCH. THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE ROOMS WERE VERY CLEAN AND AC WAS RUNNING WHEN I CHECKED IN....WHICH WAS A PLUS. DIDNT HAVE PROBLEMS WITH HEARING FOOTSTEPS ON THE ABOVE FLOORS OR NOISES FROM THE OTHER ROOMS. NOT TOO FAR FROM DOWNTOWN, BUT WALKING DISTANCE TO SEVERAL RESTRAUNTS IN THE AREA […] AND CLUBS TOO....MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS POOL DOESNT OPEN TILL MAY 1ST, WHILE EVERYONE ELSE HAD THEIR POOL OPEN. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!! First off, the picture on this site must have been taken many many years ago. It looks horrible. the front desk people are nice. the lobby looks ok. our room was up on the 4th floor. the elevators needed some serious cosmetic repairs. we walk down the uneven hallway that had carpet that was so worn down that it was bare in many […] spots. some of the room numbers were written on the walls with Sharpie marker. We finally get to our room & it was fairly clean. In the bathroom there was a huge patch on the ceiling that they attempted to repair but not very well & the shower curtain was moldy at the bottom. Our window had a view of the back parking lot & the other wing of the hotel that obviously was not in use. Condensation would build up on the inside of the windows & would drip onto the floor. The tv remote did not work. The continental breakfast provided they say until 10 am was ok. most of it was gone by the time we got down there at 8:30. the last day we were there we got down there at 9 am & it was already all put up. also, after the first night we were there my kids left their stuffed animals on their bed & when we came back that night the bed were made & their stuffed animals were neatly placed on the the bed. the next day they did the same thing. at some point during the night my husband had gotten a bloody nose while he was sleeping & got blood on his pillow & sheets. one of my kids left their stuffed animal at the foot of our bed. When we came back they had fixed my kids bed & neatly placed their animals on the bed but our bed was still unmade with the blood still on it with a note saying that due to personal belongings they were unable to clean our bed!! Really? that meant he had to sleep on the same bloody sheets & pillow!! WE ended up taking the cover & laying on top of that & used one of the kids stuffed animals as a pillow. WE could not wait to get out of there!! NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!! Mehr

Even tho this hotel was ghetto me n my friend would definitely come back!

Staff is friendly, helpful, and I have no complaints. The low rates reflect the condition of the building, which looks is worn out and beat up. In general the room is at first look, clean, there are some details on the walls and the bath that denotes a lack of supervision on the cleaning process.

This hotel was ok. Great location to the airport, Fort Sam, and the mall. But I have stayed in better. Half of the hotel is closed off for renovations but I never saw anyone working while I was there. The actual area of the hotel sucks. But everything you need is within a 5 minute drive

Not the Ritz,. Maid service not is the greatest. But very good value resonably clean, safe and convienent.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful. That is why I would reccomend this hotel to others. There was alot of upgrading so the workout area and laundry were unavailable.

We just stayed for 2 nights on an emergency trip, this building is older so don't expect it to be too nice looking. Although, when I stayed they were doing some renovation on the first floor so it is possible they will work on the other floors next. I did not have too much contact with the staff as all I really did was sleep at night and shower in the […] morning, I was out all day, the few staff members that I did run into seemed very friendly. The room itself was decent it had all I needed even a small coffee maker which I was surprised about, as well as a refrigerator, microwave, TV, desk with lamp, safe, and WiFi service. Everything is included, you do not have to pay extra, unlike other hotels that I have stayed at. Overall I would say, if you need a room at a decent rate, this one is not too bad if you are like me and just need a place to stay the night and get ready for your day in San Antonio. Mehr

Only thing that bother me was that the room phone no work,door to restroom no close not leveled correct/our room never got cleaned when we were there...

The room was clean except for the bathroom, it had hair around sink and the room phone was not working. The walls were way too thin that we had to call the front desk and complain about neighbors both nights in which mgmt quickly did resolve the issue. The elevators need work and this overall building is just old..The complimentary breakfast was the […] worst, all breads and no meat, these people seriously need a mini fridge to keep waffles fresh and not warm and milk was kept in coffee makes.. SERIOUSLY!!! Lets just say I will never stay here again!! I know you get what you pay for, but this is totally not worth it..... Mehr

After reading a couple reviews, this place seemed like an okay choice. I was wrong. It's run down. There were bugs in the bathroom, and we ran out of hot water. Keep looking. There's gotta be better places for the sale price.

Close to Midnight Rodeo. Friendly late-night staff. Comfortable bed. Great room for the price. Clean!

This hotel was bad. the elevator was broke. the a/c leaked water all over the floor. I was scared to walk outside at night. There were "working girls" out front of the hotel.

The hotel was a great deal for the money. The room was comfortable and clean.

The front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly but it did not make up for the fact the the room was very unclean. We found blood stains on the bedroom sheets and a blood stain on one of the hand towels. I find this completely unacceptable. We were there for two nights and no one came to clean our room the entire time. The Budgetel Inn and Suites in San Antonio was convenient and appropriately priced (for a 1 night stop-over at a 'cheap' but decent hotel). The room was clean, everything worked, parking was adequate, and we encountered good, respectful staff. Again -- you get what you paid for -- nothing great but good value.

The hotel looks old and not so good from the outside, but the rooms are maintained pretty well.

We loved our stay here, the room was very nice & clean especially for the price!

Inspite of all the reviews we read before booking and even after booked it was not bad it was hot in the lobby and hallways and the sinks and shower did have rust stains the bed was rather comfortable and our pillows was not flat the staff was pleasant and yes we will use it again if need be.

pool is very small with no lounge chairs to lay (just chairs to sit), sports bar is closed. there is NO bar in the hotel as advertised. breakfast is usual array of unhealthy sweet stuff. room was comfy and simple. if you just need a place to sleep and shower, which i did, this does the trick

I was very unhappy with the appearance. No air in hallways, sheets were not clean! We didnt end up staying. But i must say Randolph at the front desk was very understanding and nice. There was no newly renovation at all that i could see..

It was in a great location, the front office was really nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the only thing I didn't much like was that the elevator was pretty hot and so were the halls, other than that everything was good. I would totally go back.

This hotel was horrible, our room was filthy disgusting, the bedding had blood stains. The mattress had food stains, when we asked for new linens we were given attitude by the hotel staff.
