Haare waren noch vom Vorgänger vorhanden, Duschgel am Duschvorhang verschmiert, die Fenster so stark verschmutzt, dass man kaum raussehen konnte, usw. zimmer waren voll staub und es war sehr laut wegen eis maschinen am flur. weiter hat es im zimmer genau so geregnet wie draußen weil die fenster nich gut zu schließen waren und verkittung verrottet war.

The hotel is in such bad condition I dont think remodeling it would help. They need to build it up from scratch. I stayed here because I read the reviews that it was clean, good location, etc. When you walk into the hotel its a ghost town. The elevators feel like they are going to break. Was OK can tell it was old and had a smell to it. Not worth the money but was in a convenient location downtown. No onsite parking.

While just across the street from the Bayside ports, this hotel was pretty low quality. To note, I'm very tolerant with service and such, but even I found this hotel pretty poor. The room itself (with two doubles instead of the queen I reserved) looked like a boarding school bedroom. The biggest downsides of the stay here was 1) There was no hot water. […] None. I had to take the quickest least comfortable shower. 2) When I was gone, the cleaning women came and when they left they left the door open. Luckily none of my stuff was with me. Otherwise, the place itself looked run down. But the staff I dealt with was friendly and it was right across the street from the Bayside port. Unsatisfactory- Hotel furniture in the lobby were disgusting- Elevator not working- Hotel did not provide complimentary coffee. No parking availabel. Homeless people in the surrounding of the hotel.

Horrible experience overall. Hotel.com told me that there was a 15 dollar parking fee, come to find out that the recetionist knew of no such deal. Ended up paying 24 dollars for each day. At night the elevators did not work so i had to walk up to the 9th floor. My ipod was also stolen and there was very shady staff. I would avoid this hotel at all  […] costs. Mehr

I purchased the room at a special rate that was not so great. The reviews I saw at the time I booked were slightly over 2-star. The pictures were not represetative of the actual rooms provided, and the general condition of the hotel. Once I arrived with my two children the hotel desk staff was very friendly - but that was the highlight of my experpience. […] After leaving the front desk I journeyed to the room. One shoddy elevator that was working (the other out of order. In the hallway corridor leading to my room I saw bare wire connectors showing that had no coveriend and gaps in the wiring conduit. Upon opening the room door I was nearly afraid to step into the room, or allow my kids to touch anything before checking the mattresses for bugs. The carpeting was old and frayed with runs. The bathroom door had sheet metal over where the entry door had made a hole in it. The plaster in the bathroom had been poorly repaired after fixing plumbing behind the wall. The sink was clogged. The bedspread coviering smelt old and musty. The amenities were not as promised. There was no "free" continental breakfast available as advertised. The restaurant/lounge area had been closed for some time. The breakfast area was empty and unused. The room television only received 14 channels, of which half were in spanish, and no channels for chilren viewing. I booked this hotel due to its proximity to the port of Miami for relaxed cruise ship boarding prior to departure. I found I could not relax at all for fear of contracting something from the room. Had I known there was a Holiday Inn two blocks down and closer to the port, I would have gladly taken that option. In comparison, the Holiday Inn seemed like a 5-star by the comparison! Actually, it was the Holiday Inn where I took the childen for breakfast and really found myself regretting the fact I did not discover its presence before booking. Mehr

I prayed we didn't get bed bugs. We only got one thin towel and one thin pillow each. I had a long black hair in my bed and the only house keeper we saw had short grey hair! When we checked out we had to carry our bags down 10 flights of stairs. Only one of 2 elevators worked at all, and the one that did work passed our floor by 6 times at 5:45 am in […] the morning. If I could rate thix hotel it would be a BIG FAT -O. Thats how bad it was. No words can tell u how bad. We ask for double beds,got a queen, lights in bathroom you had to hit with your hand, floors dirty, bed harder the street with lums, lights falling off wall, 3 chanles on tv, bathroom just nasty. Rude, dirty, no extra pillows sheets or anything else you might need, I asked the guy at the front desk for some extra pillows and blankets and he said "what you have is what you get, not my problem". No refrigerator no microwave in the whole building no bed covers just a blanket did not like at all

I was not happy with thts hotel at all. The first night i only recieved two bath towles and no wash cloths. The second night i recieved no towels at all. when i returned from being out to dinner i was told that they had run out of towels so at that time i had to go to the CVS Drug Store to buy towels. The Continental Downtown Bayside - Port of Miami hotel is old and dirty. The shower is either scalding hot or freezing cold, there is no in-between. The adjacent parking garage is over $20 for overnight parking, which may be reasonable considering you're paying for the location which is within walking distance to the Miami Heat arena and a very short […] taxi ride to the cruise ship port area, although you're probably better off taking a longer taxi ride to a clean, modern hotel. The hotel's one strong point is it is very close to the Port and so convenient for getting to a cruise ship (and a port shuttle comes to the hotel). BUT the hotel is at best a 2-star dump. 1 slow elevator (other was out of service permanently) with 17 floors and 18 rooms per floor---so do the math and imagine the horror as everyone tried to get down […] with their luggage to make the cruise shuttle---some people had to wait over a half-hour for a spot on the elevator! If you can afford a better hotel take it. Mehr

One of the older hotels in Miami. Just the basics what we needed besides I didn't plan on spending much time in the room. Afterall it was Miami! Excellent price. Attractions close by and easy to get to Friendly staff. Would stay again

But the entire hotel is in nee of a complete overhauld, Bath room very small bath tub needed to be refinished and fixed broken utencils carpetd dirty funniture old and in bad condition. Staf very friendly and courteus, What a shame.

So dirty I didn't want to shower or sleep the bed. The place smells, there were hairs in the bed. The bathroom was tiny, you could use the toilet and wash your hands at the same. Would not recommend and don't take loved ones there for any type of vacation

This place is a total DUMP! Find a park bench to sleep on, it would be cleaner and smell better!

I booked this hotel late for Ultra, when rooms are hard to find. I knew it was a no-frills hotel, and I generally don't mind that at all. What I got was worse than I expected. It is just incredibly run down. But still, none of that bothered me at all really. What did bother me was the bed. That thing was hard as a rock. I am not at all picky, but this […] is NOT a usable bed. I spent several nights in this hotel tossing and turning, unable to sleep. I would rate it about as comfortable as putting a piece of cardboard down on the concrete and then putting a sheet over that. There is a small amount of give, but not much. If they just had a halfway reasonable mattress, I would have considered it amusingly run down but acceptable stay. However, because of the mattress keeping me up all night, I will never be back. There was only one small elevator that held six people at a time for a 13+ floor hotel...needless to say it took forever waiting on the elevator... the beds were hard as rocks and it was questionable whether the sheets had been washed or not... the room was in major need of maintenance and everything looked kind of thrown together...the only outlet […] we could find was in the bathroom so we had to leave our cell phones on the sink to charge...the bathtub was all bubbled up so it was difficult to keep your footing while showering and there was not rug on the slick tiled bathroom floor to keep you from slipping and sliding when you stepped out of the shower...despite being a guest the hotel still charged us to park in their parking garage and you could only enter and leave the parking garage during certain hours....all in all this hotel was a joke...I have stayed in youth hostiles that were nicer than this hotel...if you just need a cheap place to stay overnight this place would be ok but if you are planning to stay at this hotel for your entire vacation then I would definitely look else where!!! Folks, This"hotel" was in such disrepair and upkeep; my family demanded that I find another hotel right away. Which we did. The rugs were ripped up.elevator not working, a t.v. from the 1980's beds sinking in.I've seen better apts in the Bronx projects! Busted up furniture. One tiny little window. This very well located, should improve some things locative such as blankets, rugs and elevator, restaurant and have wifi in the rooms

The stay was horrible. The air was out in our room we were there for a Basketball game and was asked at 4pm to let staff know if air is fixed. Our game was at Upm we had dinner plans and this was in the middle of our game. However when we returned to the Hotel after the game at 11pm our room was a very hot. They then moved us to another room. The next […] morning the elevator was break and we had to walk down 6 flights of stairs with all our bags. They then would not let me speak to Management they said I had to contact the web page I ordered off. This was to be a relaxing weekend away that turned into a stressful stay. The worst hotel in over 40 years. 1 of 2 elavators worked sometimes for 17 floors. Inch wide tears in the carpet thas was 20 years old. No bedspread. A thin acrylic dirty blanket. No services, the phone in the room did not work, I went to the lobby to ask if they had coffee available in the morning and the desk person said there are several shops down the street that sell coffee, I could not get another pillow or blanket, the elevator was on 50 % and could only handle 5 persons per trip, hairs in the bathtub, lobby dirty, I could […] go on but you get the picture. The conditions of the room are awful, please don't spend your time or money! I didn't even sleep there, I left to a friends house and asked if I could stay, as the hotel is awful.

The worst hotel i ever stayed in. The staff gave excellent service to the Latinos and ignored me as i am caucasian. I speak spanish and did not like some of the remarks about the USA. I had to park 8 blocks away as I have a delivery truck and overnight parking is almost impossible. You can not walk outside without being asked for money by panhandlers. […] NEVER AGAIN! Mehr

Booked this for one night before cruise out of Miami. They put us on the 14th floor and they were doing construction on the 15th floor starting at midnight. We called front dest several times with no satisfaction, they actually hung up on us. Only one elevator working and only six people allowed in at one time, that is with no luggage. We were 6 people […] with three rooms and it took us over 20 minutes just to get to our room with luggage. When booking I thought how bad could it be we were only going to be there one night and were not arriving until 11:00 I would never stay here again or recommend it to anybody. Mehr

This hotel was built in 1920 and still looks like it. No WiFi except in the lobby which was full of people laying all over the place on phones and laptops. The hotel is located in the Donwtown of Miami, and we could go walking to all center. In front of Bayside Mall and the port...

THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL EXCELLENT... THE HOTEL SERVICES IS AWFUL, THE INTERNAL APPEARANCE IS HORRIBLE. THE ROOMS ARE UN CONFTABLE, SMALL, THE A/C DO NOT WORK PROPERTLY. THE BEDS WERE TOO HARD AND FILTHY AND BROKE DRESS NOT TO MENTION THE POOR CURTAINS. HAIR DRYER DO NOT WORKED. ONLY ONE OF THE TWO ELEVATORS WORKS. OBVIOUSLY NOT HAD ANOTHER OPTION […] THAT STAYING IN THIS HOTEL BEACAUSE ALL THE HOTELS IN THE AREA WERE FULL, BUT THE NEXT TIME I RATHER STAY IN ANOTHER CITY THAN IN THIS HOTEL... SO THE HOTEL IS A COLLECTOR OF THE ENTIRE GUEST THAT COULDN’T FOIND ANOTHER HOTEL BEACUASE THEY WERE FILLED TO CAPACITY. IF THIS GOOD OR NOT, ONLY MANAGEMENT KNOWS THEIR NUMBERS. IT IS A PITY THAT A HOTEL WITH POTENTIAL WILL NEED TO GIVE NEGATIVE VIEWS, THE MANAGEMENT MUST PAY ATTENTION TO THE STRUCTURE, OTHERWISE SHOULD CLOSE OPERATIONS, BECAUSE THEY DENIGRATED AND DEVALUAN THE ADJACENT AREAS. The location was very good, however the hotel was really unkept, rooms were filled with cob webs on the windows, elevator was not working, the only plus of this hotel was the free wifi in the lobby downstairs. Definitely needs to be gutted and rebuilt form top to bottom!

This is an old hotel. The bathroom is so small that they keep the towels in the bedroom. There are two elevators but only one was working. So there were long waits for the elevator. We stayed here for one night before the start of our cruise and I suspect everyone else was there for the same reason. The hotel was full. It is a good location, easy walking […] distance to the waterfront and convenient for the cruise terminal. The staff were very good and helpful. But if I had any choice I would not stay here again. this hotel is really dirty my stay was bad they say the rooms are non-smoking and my room smelled like pure cigs coughting all night when u valet ur car u cannot get ur car late night so there's no where u can go this place looks like tge twilight zone IT SUCKS!!!!!!

I taught I was at the Intercontinental but I was not. Hotel close to everything but could be a bit improved.

The hotel has a great location. The mattress was hard. Room is small. Bathroom is very small. Only one elevator worked. Hotel is old. I could not recommend it unless for one night and one only needs to sleep there with a late arrival and early departure.
