Das Hotel ist sauber , die Mitarbeiter helfen einem stets weiter und man sieht ständig jemanden putzen! Das Frühstück besteht aus Toast , frischen Waffeln Kaffe und Säften , also völlig ausreichend für einen ersten Snack. Das Hotel liegt 15 Minuten von Manhatten entfernt , es fährt alle 5 Minuten ein Shuttle Service direkt zum Times Square für 3 $ pro Person. Der Shuttle fährt bis tief in die Nacht. Ich würde dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen.

Unser zweiter "Urlaub" in NYC. Super Hotel für den Städtetrip. 2 Min. Fußweg zum Time Square. Alle sofort zu erreichen. Mit sicherheit in der Hauptsaison ein wenig teuer, aber für die Nebensaison ansolut empfehlenswert. 5 Nächte im 15.Stock. Würde es sofort wieder buchen...

ausgesprochen nette und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter, liebevoll bereitetes Frühstück, Lobby wird gerade renoviert, das beeinträchtigte uns aber in keiner Weise. Zimmer sehr klein, obwohl wir Deluxe-Kategorie gebucht haben, dafür aber sauber und ansprechend gestaltet. In unserem Zimmer waren die Schränke leider sehr alt, aber ausreichend Platz im Schrank. in der 31. Straße, direkt an der 5th Avenue ist man schnell in Greenwich Village + Soho und -wer mag- auch am Times Square. wir haben alles zu Fuß erreicht. Die Umgebung wirkt sehr sicher, auch als Frau allein.

"Dirty bed cover/throw: hotel needs cleaning"
We stayed there because we thought, since it was a Marriott, it would be nice. We frequently stay at Ritz-Carlton, also owned by Marriott. We were wrong. The bed cover/throw had soiled and stained places on it. We had an 8 hour layover prior to flying to Florence, Italy and just wanted a place to rest. The sheets were clean, but it just did not "feel […] good" to be in the room. The hotel needs a good cleaning and NO ONE should have dirty bed linens. Mehr

We checked in about 12:30 AM, after a long day completing a move-out from our upstate home, with a 9:30 AM flight the next morning, so we used none of the hotel's amenities. Decided to keep our rental car to simplify drop-off of multiple suitcases in the AM, and to avoid schlepping back to the terminal from National and waiting for the hotel shuttle […] pickup, when all we needed was to hit the sack. That decision cost of $28 in parking ($25) and taxes: whew! Didn't do my usual check of the clock radio and, sure enough,m the alarm had been set for 2:30 AM. It should be a rule that housekeeping turns the alarm OFF if a guest has checked out. The next morning, discovered there was only one towel and one washcloth in the room: c'mon Marriott - even single travelers like an extra towel! Mehr

We booked a one night stay between our flight from Aruba and the one to Montreal. The hotel is very well located next to Newark airport with free shuttle every 10-15 minutes. The property is well maintained and we did not hear any planes - we managed to sleep very well throughout the night. Breakfast was very good, copious and delivered on time. "New Year break in New York"
The Marriott is the only hotel on the airport complex but it is only a few hundred metres from Terminal B, used by BA & Virgin. As such, it is within walking distance although there is a Marriott shuttle bus that runs regularly between the hotel and bus-stop No.5. For our purposes, it worked very well as we simply used it as a base for our short break. […] We caught the Airtrain (monorail) to get to the Railink station, where you pick up the NJ Transit train into NY Penn St Station. A single through fare is $12.50. Taking into account the hotel and travel costs, it still seemed good value against some of the prices being charged by the Manhatten hotels, although the time of year will obviously factor. Overall, the hotel was good - we didn't really choose it for its facilities as we were staying out for the whole day. Chatfields Pub is okay for a drink and a burger, but fairly expensive. The beds were very comfortable and the insulation must be good as we didn't notice the planes taking off. It was also nice to wake up and be able to make some fresh filter coffee each morning. The only blemish was that on arrival, the receptionist seemed to think that we were only booked in for one night and not five!! Not what you want to hear after a 7hr+ flight, but his supervisor was able to confirm that our reservation was indeed correct. On our last day, we were able to safely leave our luggage until later on in the day, when we collected for the flight home. Overall, we were more than satisfied with this hotel. Mehr

The hotel filled our expectations, the beds and tv were excellent and the hotel conveniently situated at the airport. We did however wait for quite awhile for the shuttle to arrive.

This Hotel is very clean and has a friendly accommodating staff. The indoor pool was very refreshing. There is a nice pool table in the bar, and the beer is cold. We had 5 people in our room so we asked for more blankets to make a bed on the floor. I tried the bed the first night and was more comfortable on the floor the next night. The staff at the […] hotel restaurant was great too, and I enjoyed a salmon dinner. We spend a couple days seeing the sites in NYC. The cheapest way we found to get to Manhattan was to take the car service to Penn Central NJ, then take the PATH train to NYC. I would definitely stay here again. The is hotel is 'the bees knees for anyone wanting to stay near the airport at Newark... It is indeed 'walking distance' from the airport, on a safe route too. The staff and rooms are excellent, the restaurant and bar are very friendly and have a wide choice. We didn't use the pool but it was very clean and well kept. A good choice... It is very convenient […] to the train station too, use the free airport shuttle to the station and get into the City in about 20 minutes. Than you for a very pleasant start to our holiday. Mehr

Stayed one night on my way from Oslo Norway to Hawaii. Very convenient location close to the airport and the hotel has a shuttle bus to and from. Service was excellent and the staff in the reception and resturant were very service-minded. Highly recommended.

Very good quality hotel, great if your looking to catch another flight or even better doing some shopping in Jersey Gardens, but not really suitable for taking trips into New York to do lots of sightseeing. Good shuttle bus service provided free by hotel both from airport to hotel and hotel to train station. Rooms are excellent quality and very comfortable […] beds. "One night stay is fine"
It is very convenient since our flight was schedule to leave 6:30am. The hotel is located next to airport parking. It took us 20 minutes to get to our airline including waiting time for shuttle bus.

"Nice place for a quick weekend"
This hotel was very suprising as to how nice it was given it's right by the airport. it was easy to get to and the hotel was very clean and quiet - perfect for a good night's rest. I didn't even hear the planes outside. Great place to stay.

I've been traveling with my work for 25 years. I RARELY stay at airport hotels because, despite being advertised as soundproof, 99% of the time it's not true. But this time it IS. Giant thick double-paned windows. Never heard a jet engine -- or even a car horn. The staff was so nice and so efficient and the hotel was completely booked up. It's one […] thing to be nice and efficient when you're half-full, but sold out? Rare. I had brought microwave popcorn and at midnight I had a craving so I brought it downstairs to the Italian restaurant where a nice lady popped it for me and refused to take a tip -- also rare (but I left it anyway). Room service was fast and also excellent food. And when I dialed the phone they picked up after one ring. I don't know who's in charge of this hotel, but whoever it is is doing something right. And they have real feather pillows and the most comfortable beds. I was there two nights, slept great for both. It was sheer luck that I chose this Marriott -- there are at least a hundred hotels/motels near Newark I could have chosen. I will definitely be back. Quiet is my #1 priority when I look for hotels. To get that, plus everything else I've mentioned -- this place is a traveler's dream. They also have a quick shuttle that runs 24/7 and you can sleep til the last minute since, well, you're at the airport already. My only hesitation about writing this review is that the next time I am in the area and want to stay, it might be sold out thanks to me and my big mouth. But because I spend so much time on the road, when I find a gem like this, I feel it is my duty to let my fellow road warriors know about it. So now you know. But don't tell too many people! Mehr

Our flight was cancelled and there was no way out of Newark. We booked a room at the Marriott and were upgraded to the concierge level. The room was comfortable, the bed was very comfortable and the complimentary breakfast sustained us for the airport madness that awaited us the next morning., If you have the coin to stay here, we recommend it without […] reservation. The italian restaurant had a good wine list and lots of options, but is not cheap. We got a razor and toothbrushes at the desk and very helpful assistance from the shuttle guy. Free wifi is a plus. I would stay at Residence Inn before staying at this Hotel again. This Hotel is way over price for a night stay. The cost of food is way over priced for the quality of the food.

The Marriott Hotel was a convenient place for me to spend the night after a long time in Europe, because there were no connecting flights to my hometown until the next day. I found the shuttle to the hotel immediately after exiting the airport. The staff was very friendly and the room was comfortable. There are a few things that did not please me, […] however. There were very high prices on everything. I payed for a room that came with a complimentary breakfast, but did not receive one. I went to the breakfast buffet and had to pay $20 dollars. The selection wasn't great either. I ate decent scrambled eggs and some somewhat fresh fruit. Also, I ordered a movie that can be rented at Red Box for a dollar, and it was about $15! Also, The comforter in my room was very dusty and unclean. It was "white" but there were tan and yellow spots all over. I just couldn't sleep with a dirty comforter. Mehr

I was on a Short Layover - Hotel convenient to Newark Liberty shuttle driver very helpful - not the cheapest hotel but good quality - Avoid Bar snacks - Pannini burned to a crisp but good Sam Adams available to make up for it ME
