An excellent on-airport hotel. We arrived quite late at night, so it was great to go by shuttle bus direct to the Hotel for a comfortable no fuss stay

It is very convenient since our flight was schedule to leave 6:30am. The hotel is located next to airport parking. It took us 20 minutes to get to our airline including waiting time for shuttle bus.

This hotel was very suprising as to how nice it was given it's right by the airport. it was easy to get to and the hotel was very clean and quiet - perfect for a good night's rest. I didn't even hear the planes outside. Great place to stay.

IF YOUR ARE SPENDING ONE NIGHT AT THIS HOTEL AND YOU WANT IT TO BE NEAR THE AIRPORT, IT ITS PERFECT! THE HOTEL IS CLEAN.

I've been traveling with my work for 25 years. I RARELY stay at airport hotels because, despite being advertised as soundproof, 99% of the time it's not true. But this time it IS. Giant thick double-paned windows. Never heard a jet engine -- or even a car horn. The staff was so nice and so efficient and the hotel was completely booked up. It's one […] thing to be nice and efficient when you're half-full, but sold out? Rare. I had brought microwave popcorn and at midnight I had a craving so I brought it downstairs to the Italian restaurant where a nice lady popped it for me and refused to take a tip -- also rare (but I left it anyway). Room service was fast and also excellent food. And when I dialed the phone they picked up after one ring. I don't know who's in charge of this hotel, but whoever it is is doing something right. And they have real feather pillows and the most comfortable beds. I was there two nights, slept great for both. It was sheer luck that I chose this Marriott -- there are at least a hundred hotels/motels near Newark I could have chosen. I will definitely be back. Quiet is my #1 priority when I look for hotels. To get that, plus everything else I've mentioned -- this place is a traveler's dream. They also have a quick shuttle that runs 24/7 and you can sleep til the last minute since, well, you're at the airport already. My only hesitation about writing this review is that the next time I am in the area and want to stay, it might be sold out thanks to me and my big mouth. But because I spend so much time on the road, when I find a gem like this, I feel it is my duty to let my fellow road warriors know about it. So now you know. But don't tell too many people! Mehr

This location is very convenient, great service, comfort, etc, except and that's a big except for the very overpriced food. I must say it is good, but not reasonably priced.

Our flight was cancelled and there was no way out of Newark. We booked a room at the Marriott and were upgraded to the concierge level. The room was comfortable, the bed was very comfortable and the complimentary breakfast sustained us for the airport madness that awaited us the next morning., If you have the coin to stay here, we recommend it without […] reservation. The italian restaurant had a good wine list and lots of options, but is not cheap. We got a razor and toothbrushes at the desk and very helpful assistance from the shuttle guy. Free wifi is a plus. I would stay at Residence Inn before staying at this Hotel again. This Hotel is way over price for a night stay. The cost of food is way over priced for the quality of the food.

The people were attentive. Manager met guests at the door. Everyone was very helpful and the place was nice.

The Marriott Hotel was a convenient place for me to spend the night after a long time in Europe, because there were no connecting flights to my hometown until the next day. I found the shuttle to the hotel immediately after exiting the airport. The staff was very friendly and the room was comfortable. There are a few things that did not please me, […] however. There were very high prices on everything. I payed for a room that came with a complimentary breakfast, but did not receive one. I went to the breakfast buffet and had to pay $20 dollars. The selection wasn't great either. I ate decent scrambled eggs and some somewhat fresh fruit. Also, I ordered a movie that can be rented at Red Box for a dollar, and it was about $15! Also, The comforter in my room was very dusty and unclean. It was "white" but there were tan and yellow spots all over. I just couldn't sleep with a dirty comforter. Mehr

I was on a Short Layover - Hotel convenient to Newark Liberty shuttle driver very helpful - not the cheapest hotel but good quality - Avoid Bar snacks - Pannini burned to a crisp but good Sam Adams available to make up for it ME

Local for Airport and NYC

We chose this hotel because of its convenience and the quality of the stay. The room was very nice, roomy and had an extremely comfortable King Size bed. This was perfect for leaving the next afternoon and is also convenient for public transit to NYC from the airport. The only negative during the stay was the poor wait service in the bar/lounge area. […] They only had one waitress and she was trying hard but had terrible people helping her, messed up our food order big time. We stuck to room service the next morning and that was excellent. Mehr

A very busy and friendly place to stay, with good staff, nice rooms, and a great location. We stayed here to attend Rangers NHL playoff games, and took a car service arranged by the concierge to MSG. It worked out very well, and was a relaxing way to manage this. I'd do it again, and stay right here.

I can't imagine a better place to stay if getting to an early morning flight is your main concern. It was twenty minutes, max, from the door of my hotel room to the airport terminal. Had room service dinner, which was pricey as usual for room service, but I was impressed with the quality of the food and the portions. Great for an airport hotel.

The bathroom didnt had any exhaust and very small room.....

Good for early departure, 3 restaurants on site, Cosy pub with food, watch sports as if you're local. Expensive but location makes this an obvious choice. 10 minute walk through parking to either one of the terminals. Friendly staff. Dany

Very impressed with this airport hotel. The staff were extremely helpful in offering us a complimentary late check out. The swimming pool and gym areas were very clean and well equipped. The hotel runs a complimentary shuttle service to all areas of the airport every ten minutes or so and the little extra touches, such as water bottles provided on the […] buses were very welcome. This hotel is only five minutes away from the huge Jersey Gardens outlet malls which is fantastic for designer shopping at huge discounts. Mehr

The hotel was clean, well run, very friendly staff. First class shuttle system to airport. Easy access to trains from Newark to anywhere in NYC. 15 minute ride to Penn Station. I will stay here all the time now that i know how easy it is to manuever around. Restaurant and bar pricy but nice, good food. Location is right near the airport and room was very clean. Daily parking for guests is expensive. However, I would stay here again

very comfortable and very close to EWR. Good bar and food. I recommend this hotel!

This hotel really came through for us in a bad situation. We had originally booked this hotel as we had an 8 hour layover for an international trip. The hotel was super convenient, easily accessible via the hotel shuttle bus, less than a 2 minute drive to the hotel from the terminal. My toddler developed a stomach virus on our flight from Houston to […] Newark. She "ruined" her clothes on the flight. When we arrived to the Marriott in a desperate situation. The Marriott provided us with diapers, washing powder and where to access the guest laundry facility. We had enough time to do laundry, take baths, and rest before our next flight. I really like how we had access to laundry and didn't have to wait for the staff to do it. All in all, the hotel is the best place to stay for easy access to/from the airport and are very accommodating. Mehr

No better place to stay if you are needing a close to the airport location. This is literally across the pkg lot. Staff was friendly, beds were super comfortable and the business center was decent and quiet to use. The shuttle to and from the airport was quick as well. Perfect for what we needed and saved us time for the early AM flight.

I fly in and out of Newark at least monthly, but this was my first visit to the Hotel. We had a 6 AM flight, so came in the night before. Room was very nice, crisp, clean and quiet. Three restaurants in the lobby. Stayed on Concierge level. The Club room on this level is no big deal and probably not worth the extra money. Small, overcrowded and poor […] snacks. Wine is hidden from the guests in the back room, so you have to ask if you wish to purchase a glass of wine. The biggest disappointment was the lack of any bell staff to handle luggage when we arrived. Two of us trying to navigate the revolving doors with 4 bags was not pleasant. The shuttle to the terminal was quick and included baggage handling. Would stay again, but not waste the money on the concierge level. Mehr

Beautiful, clean, well-ordered hotel with cozy, clean, contemporary/modern rooms at a great deal. Ideally located at the airport, 24/7 shuttle, with easy access to the trains...took rapid 4-hr sightseeing journey into NYC via the trains. Did not appreciate paying for parking...that's the only negative. It is a little hard to find due to so many roads, […] ramps, exits. Stay focused on the signs, map out, and chair fly in your mind before hitting the airport complex. Great staff! Mehr

The location of the hotel is excellent. Room service was prompt and the food was good. One of our beds was very soft and not that comfortable. Overall we had a good experience and we would come again.

My daughter was flying out of Newark at the crack of dawn, so we decided to stay overnight by the airport. The Marriott was the closest and best rated and there is good reason for that. The staff was friendly and helpful; the hotel is clean, safe and well-maintained; transportation was so easy; and the price was excellent. Hotel is tricky to get to, you must watch for signs when entering airport roadway. I checked in and asked for a very quiet room on an upper floor and the woman helping me found one on the top floor. Very quiet, comfortable, staff was very polite and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised, will stay there again.

My wife and I were stuck in New York with our 1year old son during a severe blizzard. The conditions for stranded people were extremely difficult. Within this mayhem, the staff at the Marriott were absolutely astonishing. They made a situation that could easily have deteriorated into chaos a very civilized and caring environment. I was very excited to have booked here so last minute. It is one of our favorite hotels with great rooms and an excellent restaurant. It is very convenient for our early morning flights and takes the worry out of arriving at the airport on time. I would stay here every time if I had the option!

I often stay overnight at EWR for business to take an early morning flight. This time I was travelling with my familly and we booked a flight early morning out of EWR. I decided to give a try to this hotel for the 1st time mainly for the location near the airport and their shuttle which they advertise as 'convenient'. We ended up calling 4 times the […] hotel for the shuttle to show up and waiting 50 minutes. Other people waiting with us were pretty angry too. It wasn't a particularly busy time... around noon... so I just don't want to imagine the service during the rush period of the late afternoon!! If you plan to rely on shuttle, just choose another hotel with better shuttle service. Plenty of other hotels near the airport had shuttles running every 10-15 minutes out of P4. Regarding the room and overall quality of accomodations, it was as expected for a stardard 4*. Mehr
