We stayed at the Comfort Inn for Christmas on the Mountain and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The accomodations were good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I travel the world~ and this particular Comfort Inn has, by far, the friendliest staff ever! They were genuinely nice people without trying to be nice. The food was fresh and fairly delicious. "Keys fail to unlock room long before end of visit"
It is a very unwelcoming experience to have the keys stop functioning in the middle of a pre-paid stay. If I have paid for three days, the keys better work all three days. Many hotels fail in this effort, and they present various excuses to the guests like getting the cards wet will make them not work in the locks. The best part about this hotel is its staff. They absolutely make the experience worth coming back. Very friendly, helpful and always smiling. I have to mention the woman that works in the afternoon and therefore is usually the one that checks you in is a sweetheart and very helpful. She will give you the best advice on where to go to enjoy Salida. […] The room was very clean and comfortable. It was noisy which makes it difficult to sleep but that is mostly because of rude guests that like to slam doors and let their children run up and down hallways for their daily exercise. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome at this Comfort Inn. The check-in clerk, Anna, was very friendly, professional, and helpful. She seemed genuinely concerned that we had a comfortable, pleasant experience at this hotel. She was very helpful in directing us to the "River Walk" and a great place to have dinner. The hot breakfast was superb; excellent choices for the whole family. The lady working the breakfast room was very hard-working and friendly; she seemed very concerned that all the guests had a good, hot breakfast in a clean, cozy environment. Had a hard time getting checked in. Couldn't find our reservations, had 3 rooms reserved. Had to go get my confirmation printout. Then they asked me to step aside while they checked in 3 other groups. After a while they finaly found the reservations. This Comfort Inn was nicely maintained, in a convenient location to skiing and eating, and had very friendly staff. The staff was very very friendly and helped us in all way they could. Breakfast was more than we expected. And again the staff was superb. The stay was a full success. This was my third stay at this hotel and I absolutely love it. Came with my wife and two young daughters. Staff/owners could not be nicer or more helpful. Pool/hot tub area was immaculate and the breakfast included in the room rate was much better than most. Afternoons they present coffee and fresh baked cookies in the lobby. The room was extrememly clean, nice mattresses, great fluffy pillows (4 per queen bed). I love this hotel! The staff was so accomendating. There were several families that stayed here after a basketball game so our teenagers could go skiing the next day. All of the kids were in the breakfast room playing cards and socializing.
