Wir möchten immer ein Zimmer zum Hof haben und nicht eines im angrenzenden Hotelgebäude. Ich habe deshalb schon die teurere Zimmerkategorie gebucht mit 2 Betten. Aber wie letztes Mal 10 Dollar Upgrade gezahlt. Aber dafür super freundlicher Service. Super Preis Leistungsverhälltnis für San Francisco und tolle lage zu Fuß 5-10Minuten zur Fisherman-Warf. Auch parken für 12 Dollar in San Francisco ,es sind es in den meisten anderen Hotels 25-50 Dollar.Jederzeit wieder.

Das Hotel liegt in der Geary St. ein paar Blocks vom Union Square. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im zweiten Stockwerk im Mittelgang, was den großen Vorteil hat, dass man den Straßenlärm nicht mitbekommt, sondern nur den gelegentlichen Lärm den andere Gäste verursachen. Die Zimmer haben nur ein kleines Fenster mit einem wenig schönen Ausblick auf den Innenhof. Das Continental Breakfast besteht aus Kaffee, Toast m. Butter u. Marmelade, O- bzw. Apfelsaft u. einem Stück Obst. Problematisch ist die Parkplatzsituation, da gleich vor der Haustür eine Bushaltestelle ist und ansonsten i.d.R. nur Parkplätze für Kurzparker vorhanden sind. Das Hotel bietet für 30 $ p. Tag einen Valetparkservice an, d.h. es kommt jemand u. parkt das Auto irgendwo, was sehr gut funktioniert hat. Das Hotel liegt zwar in der Nähe des Unionsquare aber auch sehr dicht am Tenderloin Bezirk, den man vor allem Nachts meiden sollte. Insgesamt kann ich das Hotel vom Preis - Leistungsverhältnis weiter empfehlen!

Die "Bullen" und "Bären" bevölkern die Straßen des Finanzdistrikts, in dem sich die höchsten Gebäude der Stadt befinden, darunter die unverwechselbare Transamerica Pyramid. Daran angrenzend verläuft der "Embarcadero", eine von Palmen gesäumte breite Straße, die vom AT&T Park der San Francisco Giants bis zur Fisherman's Wharf führt. Die Straße führt auch am Ferry Building vorbei. Dieses Wahrzeichen dient heute als Wochenmarkt für nicht industriell hergestellte Lebensmittel.

Hotel: ein richtig luxuriöses geschmackvolles hotel mit toller einrichtung. es gibt 6 fahrstühle, das heißt keine besonders langen wartezeiten. Die Lobby ist besonders schön hergerichtet mit einer Skupltur und Wasser"bäche". Ebenso die Beleuchtung ist fantastisch. Lage: absolut toll! Direkt neben dem Hotel bleibt ein Cable Car stehen, welches direkt […] nach chinatown, cable car museum und zu einer 2. CC Anschlussstelle führt, welche nach Powell (Pier) fährt. Weiters kann man zu fuß Pier 1 erreichen und bei einem gemütlichen Spaziergang auch bis zu Fishermans Wharf gehen - es fährt auch eine Straßenbahn! in S.F. sind allg. seeehr viele Obdachlose, somit natürlich auch dort vor dem Hotel, allerdings gabs Gegenden, die weit schlimmer waren. Hatte keine unangenehme Begegnung. Zimmer: Wir waren im 17. Stock( ab dem 14. nur mit zimmerkarte betretbar, was auch ein besonderes sicherheitsgefühl bringt) und hatten ausblick auf Pier 1 vom Balkon. Betten waren äußerst bequem, TV Qualität Senderweise nicht ganz so toll. Es hat alles modern gewirkt und war geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Badewanne war eher unnötig, da sie so niedrig war, dass ein richtiges Vollbad sowieso nicht möglich war - zum Füße entspannen hat es gereicht :). Service: Nunja.. das ist immer schwierig, da das Zimmerservice immer sehr von der Reinigungskraft abhängt. Ich war nicht so zufrieden, sie hat mal auf handtücher vergessen, auf teebecher, auf tee, zwischen Klo und Wanne lagen am 1. tag viele lange Haare... dafür gabs jeden Tag neue Zahnpaste. Nach einmaligen Melden am Front-desk kam aber sofort ein Mitarbeiter und hat einen Stapel handtücher, becher usw gebracht. Ebensfalls zu betonen: am 4. juli bekamen wir einen zettel unter die Tür, mit den Sicherheitshinweisen für diesen Tag, man musste seine Hotelkarte am Eingang herzeigen, es War alles mit Securities voll, ebenso gab es einen Hinweis dass man das Feuerwerk auch nicht vom 17. Stock aus sieht, man solle sich ab 17Uhr nen platz am pier suchen mit gen Mehr
"Nur überall Gebühren"
Das Hotel liegt schön zentral, Leider stossen die Parking Fee's von $ 50.-- pro Tag schlecht auf. Auch die diversen anderen zusätzlichen Gebühren finde ich schlecht; Internet $ 10.-- / TV Internet $ 50,-- pro Tag... echt mieser Kundenservice. Da sind wir beim Marriott besser aufgehoben..
"Top-Erholung bei bester Lage"
Der Service ist sehr gut organisiert, die Qualität des Essens im Atrium-Lokal war hervorragend, der Service äußert zuvorkommend.Wir hätten gerne als Normalgast die Bar auf dem Dach besucht.

"parking isn't free"
They failed to mention that the parking lot 50 dollars and there's no alternative parking

"Hyatt Regency- Embarcadero St"
We had a great stay at the Hyatt. The staff was very nice and helpful, the rooms were absolutely wonderful and comfortable. The location of the hotel is very convenient which makes it easy to go anywhere in downtown SF. I would recommend this Hotel anytime!

"Decent hotel"
Hotel amenities and location are great but the room was looking tired. The carpet had buckled in a few places and the bathroom and shower have seen better days. Im sure its a constant maintence cycle since the hotel has so many rooms.

"Highlight of SF"
From check-in to check-out, it was a wonderful experience. The work out room was well equipped (please allow guests to wipe down machines!), the staff was courteous (apologized for no vending machines), the cleaning staff said "hello" every time we saw them, the concierge got us reservations within 5 minutes for a wonderful restaurant, the lights in […] the lobby were magical, the matresses were dreamy and the TV above the sink was so cool! The location was perfect and we fell in love with Blue Bottle Coffee across the street at the Ferry Building. Also the conference facilities were exceptional. Thank you. Mehr

Staying at the Hyatt was great..I have stayed there a number of times and convenient to everything especially the financial district. The only problem was that when I checked in the hotel did not have my reservation that I made on hotels.com so thankfully I had the confirmation number and it took the front desk over 10 minutes to find my reservation […] which was lost. Otherwise it was a nice stay and will stay there again. Mehr

We had a great stay however I paid extra to be in the Regency Club which includes apps and breakfast and a beautiful room. For the increased stay fare, I would assume it covered alachol but it didn't. Comeon Hyatt, don't be so cheap!

"A little disappointed"
We upgraded to the best level. The room was rather small. I was hoping for at least a nice soaking tub if not a jacuzzi, but no go. Also, the TV was freakin' ANALOG!!! What's up with that?!? The Regency Club, which came with the upgrade, was nice. The massage chairs were good. We didn't try too much of thr Club's food.

Checked in for one night at the Regency (for a company Christmas party). The Christmas decorations are the best in San Francisco, but that was the one plus. Paid for view of the bay, and I could see the bay if I looked out the window at an angle. There is no mini-bar - so needed after dealing with the S.F. traffic, in fact there was someone's old rotting […] Chinese food in the fridge, not a pleasant surprise. When asked the bellhop to remove, he said he was coming back, never did. Took two calls to have my luggage picked up. Can't stand to see food and dirty dishes in the hall ways. It seems everyone is trying to make the place a great stay, but the results feel like a old aging hotel that needs a solid makeover. Mehr

The staff was very accommodating, polite a, and helpful. It was nice to book a room for one night during the holidays and not have a two night minimum requirement. Very encouraging for companies to book rooms for employees for Holiday parties.

The location is great. The holiday lights are great. The carpets need to be replaced. The toilets are 30 years old and are wasting water with every flush.This hotel needs a serious facelift. Staff was nice. The bar in the lobby is really slow.

The Hyatt at the Embarcadero in SF was fabulous! The view from the club restaurant was unparalelled. I would highly recommend it. You can walk to everything from there and the service was great!

I don't get excited about hotels, in fact I think this is maybe my second review of a hotel ever - the first one was not a good one (a hotel in NY). Anyway, I am seriously impressed with the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero for one simple reason - the staff. I mean, most times a hotel is a hotel - whatever right? Give me a bed, some quiet, and leave me alone. […] That's what I got at this hotel, but when I did interact with staff they were seriously nice - just really friendly and not in a bad way, or over the top kind of way. Front desk, restaurant, housekeeping, just very friendly, personable and made me feel like a valued guest. That's really appreciated ya know - it goes a long way. We're so used to ungrateful businesses and cold unfriendly people, which is most definitely not what you find at this hotel. I highly recommend it. Mehr

The staff at this hotel exceeded any experience I have seen. Their attention to detail and observation of customer needs was terrific. I took a cab in from the airport and didn't have enough cash on me when I got to the hotel, but instead of having me run in and get cash the doorman took care of the taxi and allowed me to get back to him after I checked […] in. "Not a hotel snob"
I'm not a hotel snob, so I cannot speak for those who would knit pick every part of the hotel. The exterior is nothing to look at, but the interior lobby/atrium is really cool looking. The bay view with balcony room that I had was really nice for hanging out and having some drinks with friends. It is right on the Embarcadero, which is right where you […] want to be if your doing a lot of the tourist stuff in SF. The ferry building has a ton of good food. Room had kind of a funny layout, but had a chase lounge, california king bed, another nice chair, desk with chair, ihome dock, etc. All in all is was a really nice place to stay. Mehr

Hotel was nice and staff great. Convenient location with trolleys right out front. Only negative was charge for every little thing....rollaways, internet...no free WiFi like all the other hotels. For the cost of the hotel those amenities should be included.

"Very Convenient Hotel"
I stayed here after a giants game. Great location, ot off Muni at Embarcadero Station and the Hyatt was right there. The interior of the lobby was breathtaking. Only con was that there was a homeless person panhandling outside on the street by playing a musical instrument late at night. That combined with street noise made it slightly difficult to sleep, […] but this is common in the bustling city of San Francisco. All in all, loved my stay at the Hyatt Regency. Mehr
"Very good, but parking is $50 per day & no pool"
Other than the high parking fee, this is a very nice hotel in a good location. It's close to muni trans so quick & easy to the wharf & AT&T ballpark. Walking distance to some nice dining spots and our room had a good view of the bay bridge.

This hotel is perfectly located allowing easy access to the delights of Fishermans Wharf and Union Square and the Ferry Terminals. The streetcars and cable cars pass outside the door for ease of movement around the city.

Got a suite on the Regency level. Great pre-dinner noshes and decent breakfast in the morning - definately worth the upgrade. Room was good size for us (me, wife + 2 kids in cribs). Bed was uncomfortable for the 1 night we were there. But overall, service was very good from valet, bellman, and Regency Club staff. If it weren't for the amazing location and the fact that virtually every room has a beautiful view, I would be giving this hotel 3 stars. This is a perfect place for the tourist to drop their bags and go sightseeing or couples looking to spend a fun weekend in San Francisco. Overall, a good safe and clean hotel to be in. "A true 3 Star hotel... At best"
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights during the memorial weekend... Very disappointed, I always expected more from Hyatt. I had choice of other 4 stars at lower price but chose Hyatt because of the name and my past experience... Big mistake... First, the condition of the hotel: out dated (left over from 80's), old and dirty carpets and bathrooms... […] Air condition with no temperature setting!... Yes, this is supposed to be a 4 Star Hyatt! Second... I made a reservation for two adults and an 8 years old... When we were checking, I asked for a roll-in bed for my daughter... They wanted to charge $25 Extra for it...This never happened to me before, so I refused because I had specifically reserved the room for 3 people... What do they expect? all 3 of us sleep in the same King bed? We went with the other option of two twin beds... My wife and I slept uncomfortably in a twin bed.
