The staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome as soon as I walked up to check in. Room clean and roomy and the new restaurant Sway had just opened. Their caramel cake is excellent. I was traveling to Louisville to visit the city for vacation due to the excellent visitors bureau website for things to do. Restaurants right across from the hotel […] and "Forth Street Live" is to the left and a block up from the main hotel enterence. Several restaurants and bars there. Service at all places to eat friendly. Several fine museums within a few blocks of the hotel and interesting river walk several blocks from hotel. Highly recommend staying here. Mehr

Not satisfied at all with hotel. They charge extra for everything like parking, refridgerator, smoking room. The room was no better than a mid priced hotel & most mid priced hotels offer refridgerators, microwaves & parking for free. I guess we expected more for the price.

"Convenient location is about all the advantages"
The hotel was easy to find, a great location and had plenty of parking in downtown. It was missing much more though--no free wi-fi, no bathroom fan, no mini fridge, no mirror outside the bathroom, and no outlets to plug in my gadgets. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Overall--not bad, but not great.

Our hotel room was in slight disrepair, the building was loud and the breakfast over priced. You pay for internet, and just about anything else.

My stay was during the NCAA basketball regionals, so the hotel was at capacity. Every single member of the staff I interacted with was cordial and helpful. Their focus was 100% on my comfort. I highly recommend this hotel.

Staff was very nice, helped us with everything....we woke up in the middle of the night and the smell of smoking was so strong it woke us up. Our room was supposed to be smoke free. Also walls were very thin and we heard alot that we would have rather not have had to hear!

"The Hyatt...Not worth the price"
The service was great. Everyone was so hospitable, but I just don't think the hotel was worth the price. The hotel seemed a little dated and so did the rooms. I know this may sound silly, but it really bugs me when hotels do not use fitted sheets. I think it makes the hotel look cheap. The sheets never stay in place and it can be so uncomfortable. This hotel was a pleasure to stay at. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located right on 4th Street Live...its where all the fun is. Its walking distance to everything you could want to do...Muhammad Ali center , Lousiville Slugger Museum, pubs ,restaurants..etc.. It was a wonderful time!

The hotel was amazing! Great location. There was construction going on in the hotel, but was hidden very well. A lot of things to do within walking distance.

If I had known that this hotel was opening for the first time on New Years Eve after several months of renovation, I would never have booked it. The hotel was not ready to open. The room was cold and musty. It was an unfortunate experience.

The hotel was okay, great location and the service and all was alright. My only real complaint is the noise level. You can hear absolutely everything that goes on outside in your room. My fiance and I were awaken at 3am to a woman screaming for her life. We are not sure what was going on as the hotel could not release any information, but she was yeslling, […] "someone help me please" over and over again. It was terrifying. We were assured the next day that she was okay and the matter had been taken care of, but it definitely ruined our experience and made us feel anything but safe. Mehr

Very nice hotel. staff all very friendly. Room was perfect. Good functional gym. The open atrium design of the entire hotel leaves a bit to be desired on weekends with drunks being heard throughout hotel all night long. Shame, otherwise a lovely hotel.

The hotel was going through some renovations. Consequently, the lobby was barren and felt very isolated. Otherwise, it was a great stay. The Louis Link (covered walkway) between the convention center and all the major hotels was great.

"All the noise, noise, noise...."
We stayed at the hotel for New Year's Eve, they had just opened after a 2 week shut down to begin renovations. The staff was great. They had a make-shift bar open in one of the meeting rooms with $1 beers and 10cent wings. Everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful. However the cast of characters staying in the hotel were loud and obnoxious. […] I understand having a good time all night long but screaming in the atrium that echos to every room all night long is childish and takes away from the others staying there. I am not talking just at midnight or 1am but at 4am. I love this hotel, I just wish they had handled the noise better. Looking forward to the new look and feel after the renovation is done. Mehr

"hyatt regency louisville ky don't drink the water!"
At that price they could give you a bottle of water free. We also had to pay $20 for parking and no free breakfast. I've stayed in much cheaper hotels in bigger citiesfor less money that had much bigger and nicer rooms.
We truly value your business and appreciate the comments you shared regarding your recent stay. It is our goal to meet or, better yet, exceed every guest’s expectations and I regret failing to do so in this case. Although we do not offer complimentary breakfast with the standard room rate we have packages that include breakfast or parking as an additional option depending on your preference. I realize we cannot change your first impression of our hotel, but I hope you will allow us the opportunity to show you all we have to offer during your next visit to Louisville.

Awwightt everyone, listen up, your fellow traveller was just here, and this place is the GISHNICK! Wow, what an awesome hotel, friendly, courteous staff, GREAT FOOD, I mean, GREAT ROOM SERVICE< I've never had food this good anywhere, and I travel ALL OVER THE WORLD. I just want to compliment the room style - not outdated, quite modern in fact, with […] views I think from every room in the hotel. The indoor space is great, with 3 glass elevators that give you a panoramic experience every time you use them. As per security, you will have to use your room key to unlock the elevators at night after 11 pm ( I think it's 11 pm...). anyways, this is for your own protection. Not that this is in a dangerous place, it's just right next door to 4th street live! In fact, like 300 yards from it. Easy access by car, cab, walking , and 3 points of entrance/exit at any time. The only negative was that the top restaurant was closed due to improvements and rehabilitations being made on the place, but aside from that, I mean there are tons of restaurants around the corner, please, I don't need a view of the city and the river since I have one in my own room, thanks god! So I recommend this place to everyone! GET ROOM SERVICE, you'll LOVE IT! CHEERS!! Mehr

I stayed in the hotel for a business trip. The morning of the trip, I headed to the business center to print out my speaking notes. The business center's printer wasn't working, so I asked a staff member for help. We went to Louisville on a mini vacation and did not know much about the area. The Hyatt was located in middle of city and walking distance to some attractions. I loved it and would like to go back. For a relaxing time it would be nice.

We have stayed here twice now and would go back again. The hotel is in a great location, near plenty of restaurants, bars and downtown tourist attractions. It's also a great place to stay if you're headed to the KFC Yum Center. The room was spacious and the furnishings were nice and modern. The walls are paper thin. You can here someone using the bathroom in the next room. Air conditioner is noisey. Bed wasn't bad for a hotel bed. No water in vending, but you can buy it from the room for an outragous cost.

The noise in the hotel was awful. We simply could not sleep! The hotel charged$10.00 per night for parking and didn't mention it until we checked out. We were unable to enjoy the convention we paid alot for. We were very unhappy. We would never visit that hotel again and have told another couple that are coming to louisville in late October.

I stayed here during a baseball stadium tour I was on because I wanted to check out the Louisville Slugger Factory. The hotel was amazing and the staff was so friendly. Very good location, and easily can walk all around town. The bar in the hotel had the best sandwich ever- the Slugger.
