Das Hotel befindet sich in der Nähe der EXPO. Da wir ein Auto dabei hatten, war mfür mich der kostenlose Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotel super. In anderen Hotels in BUD musste ich immer bis zu 16 EUR zahlen. Dafür ist man hier etwas abseits, jedoch in ca. 10 minuten mitten in BUD. Das Frühstücksbuffet entsprach den Erwartungen. Auswahl an Eierspeisen und Wurst war besser als im Mercure. Und das beste, hier noch alles inkl. Auf dem Dach gibt es auch noch einen WellnessBereich. Hier der Abstrich, die Sauna wurde leider erst am abend angeschaltet und der Jacuzi war leider abends um 7 immer noch auf 29 Grad. DIeser wurde zwar an diesem Tag gereinigt, doch dies hätte man auch am Vormittag machen können, so dass am Abend dieser auch zu benutzen ist! Ansonsten, tolles Hotel. Ich werde beim nächsten mal dieses wieder buchen. TIP: LH hat mir dieses Hotel schon mal angeboten, als mein Flug leider nicht zurück nach FRA starten konnte

Großes, schön eingerichtetes Hotel, zwar etwas Abseits gelegen und die Umgebung ist eine einfache Wohngegend. Dennoch reizvoll direkt gegenüber der Margareteninsel und man ist schnell bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Bezahlbare Parkplätze vor dem Hotel sind ein großer Pluspunkt in Budapest.

Lage: Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs, in einer etwas ruhigeren Seitenstraße und ist relativ einfach zu finden. Die Stadt-Busse fahren fast direkt vor dem Hotel vorbei, so dass man diese wunderbar für die Fahrt in den Stadtkern nutzten kann. Die Tickets konnten wir direkt im Hotel kaufen. Hotel: Das Hotel macht schon von Außen einen sehr schönen und gepflegten Eindruck und auch der Empfangsbreich sowie die Aufzüge und Flure alles super sauber und in einem ordentlichen Zustand. Die Empfangsmitarbeiter waren sehr nett und man konnte alles auf Deutsch erledigen. Zimmer: Die Zimmer waren sauber, nur im Bad waren ein paar kleine Stellen, die noch genauer geputzt hätten werden können und die Dusche hätte von Außen eine neue Fuge benötigt. Aber die Dusche im innreren und die Amaturen waren sauber und in einem ordentlichen Zustand. Das Bett war super bequem und auch sehr schön groß! Der Ausblick aus unserem Zimmer im obersten Stockwerk war sehr schön. Das Zimmer war sehr warm, da wir die Klimaanlage nicht zum laufen gebracht haben, aber wir haben das Fenster zum Balkon geöffnet und das war dann sehr angenehm. Schwimmbad/Restaurant: Haben wir beides nicht benutzt und können dazu nichts sagen. Frühstück: Die Auswahl war umfangreich, viele frische Früchte und Müsli, verschiedene Brote, Wurst und Käse. Auch warme Speisen. Es war für jeden etwas dabei. Tiefgarage: Wir haben den Tiefgaragenplatz genutzt, weil unser Auto ziemlich neu ist. Leider ist die Abfahrt in das zweite UG ziemglich eng und steil, so dass man vorsichtig fahren bzw. sein Auto gut kennen sollte. Aber ansonsten ist die Garage sehr parktisch und sauber. Abschließend kann man sagen, ein sehr schönes Hotel, in dem wir immer wieder übernachten würden, da es uns vor allem auf die Qualität der Betten sowie die Sauberkeit der Zimmer ankommt und diese unseren doch sehr hohen Anforderungen gerecht wurden. Nach westlichem Standard entspräche das Hotel aus meiner Sicht einem 3 Sterne- Plus Hotel.
Lage
Dieses Hotel ist auf Familien mit Kindern bestens eingestellt. Sofitel Budapest Chain Bridge liegt mitten in Budapest. Folgende Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar: Roosevelt-Platz, Vigado und Kettenbrücke. Seilbahn zum Schloss in Budapest und Váci utca befinden sich ebenfalls in der Nähe.
Ausstattung
Sofitel Budapest Chain Bridge stellt Ihnen Folgendes zur Verfügung: Wellnesscenter, Innenpool und Sauna. Das Sofitel liegt genial genau zwischen Donau und Fussgängerzone. Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit einem angenehmen Spa-Bereich und freundlichem Personal.

Das Hotel hat für die Lage und den Zustand/Sauberkeit 6 von 5 Punkten verdient. Der Spabereich ist ebenfalls erste Klasse und die gesamte Belegschaft außerordentlich zuvorkommend und freundlich.

Das Hotel war sehr schön, der Ausblick aus dem Luxuszimmer auf den Burgberg fantastisch. Man konnte alles zu Fuss erreichen. Das Frühstück war nicht inbegriffen und etwas teuer, aber gut. Kann ich für einen Städtetrip nur weiterempfehlen!

"Great location, not happy with some things"
Stayed in Sofitel Budapest end of April 2012 with a group of 9 people. At first we had email conversation to ask them if they could change the dates we booked with hotels.com since Malev airlines went bankrupted.They were very understanding which was really polite of them since the rate we booked was non-refundable. When we finally arrived though the […] reception guy was rude.He said that our rooms were not ready (at 15:00!!!). When I asked why he told me that they have flexible check out time! And I ask you: Did you ever hear a hotel having flexible check out time at the time they are expecting arrivals??? I never did! At check out time they announce that you have to pay a little amount of 8 euro I think as city tax (which was no problem), which was another think I didn't hear before in all the countries I visited. (or maybe it was included in the price and didn't know it)-Anyhow, it would be good to know in the beginning. The location of the hotel is fantastic with the most perfect view of the Chain Bridge! The rooms were lovely but if you book a triple room, the third bed will be the unfolded sofa which is not comfortable. There is a 24 hour grocery shop behind the hotel if you need anything. In general we had a really nice time in Budapest and I would recommend Sofitel to other travellers especially for the location! Mehr

"Sofitel Chain Bridge Budapest - Strategical locate"
An excellent hotel , very cordial and friendly staff, superbly located at the heart of Budapest. My wife and I ( our very first visit to Budapest) were very much at home . All our needs were attended to in a timely manner by the reception staff. The facilities are very refreshing from the Spa/Swimming pool to the restaurants available at the hotel. I had a wonderful time staying at the Sofitel Budapest Chain Bridge hotel. The staff was amazing - very helpful in navigating through my first visit to Budapest. The location of the hotel is terrific - very convenient to all the major sights. My room as also great - great view and great accommodations. The only minor issue was there was no bathroom […] electrical plug so no way to use hair tools like flat irons. But, this was minor in the scheme of things. Mehr

This is a very nice hotel in a great location. Booked a room with a view of the palace, Danube, and Chain Bridge and it did not dissapoint. The view was amazing. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable! Paris Budapest restaurant and patio was very good. Downsides though: front desk staff were very snobby with superioity complex. The room was suppose […] to be available for check at 2:00 p.m. and after a very long day of travelling they would not let us check in until almost 3:00 p.m., no explanation and no apology. Also, as others have said in their reviews even though all the taxes are prepaid inthe hotels.com booking they try to charge you extra taxes when you go to check out. I would not sign for these charges and showed them my receipt which indicated taxes were included. they did not care and did not want to return my credit card. It was a big hassle when you need to check out and grab a train. They don't care, agrue with you, treat you as second class because you did not book with them directly. I now will have to fight these charges with my credit card company; what a way to ruin what was otherwise s splendid hotel and a splendid vacation. Toronto, Canada Mehr

From the city map you cannot tell the PERFECT location of this hotel. The views from our room were incredible day and night: the Chain Bridge, the Danube and the castle on the Buda side. Everything you want to see is in walking distance. Would choose it again!

"Sofitel Budapest Five Star"
Our stay at the Sofitel Budapest was superb. The hotel is total modern 5 Star quality from the finishes to the location overlooking the Chain Bridge to the elegant appointments of the room. Superb comfortable bed and a view of the city at night. Excellent hotel.

Centrally located, the staff was excellant and always ready to assist. However, the breakfast brunch was nearly $40 for each person. - we ate out for breakfast.

For a Soffitel I was expecting a grand hotel, with 5 stars and on the banks of the Danube it should have offered so much more than a tastefully decorated lobby. I pushed the boat out for a deluxe room over looking the river, the room was deluxe, but in 1983. The furniture looked run down, the drapes were awfully bad taste, the mini bar range poor and […] expensive. The whole feel of the place led me to believe from the internet it was an enchanted forest, but once inside the forest had been left to fester. This is a really first classhotel in a great location. The staff are friendly and efficient. They arranged for the hotel taxi (Mercedes S Class) to collect me from my train. This is a good idea as a gaggle of unsavoury characters seem to control the taxi business at Keleti Station. As an A Club card holder I was upgraded to a corner suite on the top […] floor with stunning views of the Chain Bridge and the Danube. I also had acess to the Sofitel Club for breakfast and all day snacks. The staff here were very charming and helpful. You can check out in the lounge. This hotel is in the heart of all the landamrks in Budapest, right on the Danube. this is probably the best area in the city. the room was excellent, as were the bed and the quality of the internet. definitely a great hotel for the price.

"New Years stay"
My wife, daughter & myself spent 3 days in the hotel over the New Year. Hotel was busy, but service & cleanlinless didn't suffer. very good common areas, room was large and high level of cleanliness. Hotel is extremely well positioned by the Chain Bridge and close to most of the shopping areas. Would certainly highly recommend it
"Perfect location"
Excellent location and nice hotel with stunning reception areas. Hotel bar and restaurant are very expensive. Overall the location of this hotel alone makes it worth visiting but don't forget there is city tax to pay on check out (it's only a couple of % but worth remembering)
