As always, Hampton Inn lived up to my expectations.

"Nice Hotel" but not superior as the ratings would suggest. The double beds are small for 2 average people. Breakfast was very average .

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. The front desk clerk was very sweet! She gave me juice from the kitchen when I told her I didn't drink soda! The only complaint I have is that the housekeeping crew came to our room 3 times before we were to check out at 12...they woke us up at 800! And they even came in the room twice! We were yelling from the bed […] that we were fine and didn't need anything but they still came on in! Mehr

Wonderful experience!

I have attended many confences and so I have staid in many 4star hotels throughout my college career. That being said, when I went to Columbia to visit University of South Carolina Law I was originally bummed to have to stay in a Hampton Inn (I am a broke college student); however, I was pleasantly surprised. This hotel was nicer and the staff friendlier […] than many of the upscale hotels I have staid in. I will certainly be giving more Hampton Inns a chance and will certainly stay in this hotel if I ever go back to the Columbia area. Mehr

I was treated exceptionally at the Hampton Inn! Southern hospitality is not something of fiction I was pleasantly surprised to find. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the customer service was outstanding. I would definitely recommend =)

My husband, two young children, and I were on our way to the upstate, and Columbia was a good stopping point for us to stay the night. We chose this hotel for convenience to dinner and shopping. The hotel staff was extremely friendly upon check-in. The staff had just made fresh cookies and my children were starving. My wife and I stayed for the weekend and were thoroughly pleased. Very friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, convenient to the city of Columbia, and good price. What more could you ask for!!??

I have never had a bad experience at a Hampton Inn and I'm happy to say the Harbison location did not disappoint. The hotel itself was clean and the room was clean and comfortable. If I knew what brand mattress they use, I would surely buy it. They even had cookies. Most importantly to me was that I was on the fourth floor out of 6 and I heard no […] one on the floor above us, nor in the hall. Excellent soundproofing. The only negative I had is that the staff were a little overly perky for me. But it was bearable and had nothing to do with my overall experience, which is the reason I gave all aspects a 5. Mehr

The hotel staff made us feel very welcome. Cookies at check-in were delicious. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good. A walk around the lake behind the hotel was a nice perk. We were very pleased with this hotel.

This hotel is consistently well maintained, well staffed with friendly people, clean and one of my favorites in Columbia. Highly recommend it!

The staff was FANTASTIC! Easy check in/check out, clean rooms and wonderful free breakfast. Kid friendly yet, ok for the business type also. It was a pleasure staying there and would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family!

The staff at this hotel was very accommodating and extremely nice. It feels good to be greeted and acknowledged with a genuinely pleasant demeanor. Any issues or concerns were immediately addressed, and the fresh cookies every night were a sweet touch. We will definitely recommend this hotel to others, and look forward to our next stay.

This was our first time in the area and will definitely stay here again. The quality that I know Hampton Inn represents was well represented at this location.

Wonderfully clean and comfortable hotel! Great breakfast too. We were just passing through and just needed a place for the night, but the fun park a short distance away was a HUGE hit with the kids. It made this stopover a fantastic mini-vacation!

Was in for one day visit to the university. Had a great stay at a great price Clean rooms and great staff If my daughter ends up going to USC we will definitely stay here again

Have stayed at this property many times, remains one of my favorites. Always clean & there is a good resturant next door

stayed at the hampton in 10/16-10/22, had a great time. i was very impressed at how nice and courteous the employees were.

The hotel was fine, location convient, and the room was clean. They provided an excellent breakfast, we enjoyed very much

We booked four rooms for a family get-together, and could not have been more pleased. The staff was so friendly, courteous and helpful. The rooms were ready early. Coffee was fresh at 3pm. Computers were available off the lobby. Complementary bikes for riding around the adjacent lake; we chose to walk the trail, enjoying ducks, flowers, and a playground […] for the children. Didn't visit the fitness center, but we enjoyed a good breakfast with yogurt and fruit by the pool. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel was quiet, secure, and modern. I chose this hotel because of price and location, but look forward to staying again for many other reasons. Mehr

Everything was great EXCEPT for the breakfast area. The area was so small that who ever was making waffels would have their entire familoy standing there and no one could bypass to anywhere. I did not want a waffel but people maid it so conjested! I tried to go around but the plates were right in front of the waffel machine AND, there was no eggs or […] gravy and biscuits. I got a napkin and had a bagel! I know the breakfast is served in a few hours of time, however standing in line and not getting anything not even a plate was frustrating. My suggestion would be to have the waffel machine on one side of the area and the eggs and gravy on the other side and everything else in the middle. Thanks, Kay Mehr

I was satisfied with the hotel itself. The pool area is quite small for the enormous amount of guests with older children using it and there is no wade pool for small children. I was glad the friendly receptionist informed me they do not use chemicals in their pool. Not sure how they keep it clean though. The hotel itself was situated nicely, had a […] walking trail around a lake that I did not get a chance to use and offered free bicycle use. The lobby was surprisingly modern and nice. The breakfast bar had a nice selection. The pool area was neat and the pool was clean. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The only negative comment I have was the cigarette smell as soon as you got off the elevator on our non-smoking floor. Luckily, the room did not smell or I would have asked to chnage […] rooms. Mehr

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The desk staff was friendly and informative. Breakfast was adequate, but they should consider putting 2 people to work that area when the hotel is full. The one person could not keep up with keeping all the items stocked. I wish they would find another place for the smokers- besides being at the front entrance-gives […] bad and smelly impression. The room was nice but the air condition was out of control.It did not go down to a more comfortable level. I had to cut it completely off.The lcd tv had a bad picture.but the room was nice.
