Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 29. Jan. 2013Das Hotel war in Ordnung, allerdings war es schon ziemlich weit weg vom Flughafen, obwohl es unter Airport-Hotels verzeichnet war. Wir mussten eine halbe Stunde in klirrender Kälte auf das Shuttle warten, das hat uns nicht so gut gefallen. Und das Frühstück war eher auf asiatischen Geschmack ausgelegt, aber wir haben trotzdem was zu essen gefunden. Alles in allem aber ein gutes Hotel, was Ausstattung und Sauberkeit angeht.

"Disappointment all around"
Room was tired and old. Shower controls worked so hard, my wife and kids didn't have enough strength to lift the sluggish knob. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. Worst part of room was that the a/c didn't work and it was miserably hot all night long. Kids wanted to swim in pool, but when we got there, there were no towels. Then we noticed the water […] was all cloudy and gross. Management said they would check it out, but after 20 minutes we gave up and went back to our hot room. Happy we were only in town one night. Ugh! We booked a king room and when we checked in we got a standard. When we approached the desk the employee said thats all they had available and that Expedia does not allow you to pick room size. After several minutes of arguments we decided to leave it be. We went back to our room to get ready to go out for the evening only to find our room had […] no hot water in the shower. Then to top it off the was what sounded like a party in the room next to us. We had an awful night sleep. Needless to sa y we will not be staying at another double tree. Overall the hotel was well kept. The staff was very friendly. The only thing is that we didn't know there was a parking structure in the back and we waited a long time for a parking spot to open in the front lot. Other than that, it was a good experience.Authentische Expedia-Gästebewertung

"A Little of Everything"
Nice, relaxing oasis in the suburbs of Chicago. Good, clean room. Great restaurants and shopping opportunities right across the street, though we didn't use them because of our short stay. Very reasonable distance from the Forest Park train station and connection to all things Chicago. The fitness center was one of the best I've ever seen and the pool […] and spa area was well-maintained, though I prefer my spa to be a little warmer in water temp. "Great hotel"
We visit family in the Oak Brook area and usually stay at the Holiday Inn. We were overwhelmed with quality and cleanliness of the DoubleTree. It is definitely a step above our usual accommodations in the area. Our room was immaculate, had a flat panel tv and was very quiet. The pool was very nice and the one meal we ate, breakfast buffet, was tastey. […] The only complaint was the price of the buffet. $16 per adult without eggs to order or omelette bar is a little expensive in our opinion.
