Sheraton New Orleans Hotel - New Orleans

The hotel is in a great location, near the river and the French Quarter. Our room had a large stain on the carpet. Apparently the hotel is under renovation. That's good because it needs it..

It was a typical Sheraton and in a great location. But they are under construction and the noise started very early in the morning, even over the weekend days. So it was very hard to sleep in when we wished to.The concierge floor was nice and the bedding was comfortable. Robe in the room were a plus as well.

Stayed at the New Orleans Sheraton this past week with some friends.. The location of the hotel couldn't have been any better.. central to everything.. Had 2 adjoining rooms which were clean and comfortable.. did not have end end finishes in bathrooms, etc.. but acceptable.. nice bar in the lobby to enjoy a few libations.. would definitely stay aga […] in Mehr

I was completely disappointed considering the rate. The hotel is in the middle of construction/remodeling so you will hear even more noises than usual. It doesn't help when the walls are paper thin anyway!! You could see the shadow of people passing your room...does this tell you anything! I wouldn't stay at this hotel on my next trip to New Orleans […] next year. Mehr

Comfortable and a very welcoming staff. Gerat location and nearby to the Riverfront and local attractions in the French Quarter.

The hotel lobby and restaurant was very nice, but the rooms were VERY outdated and in poor condition. The bathroom was also in rough shape, and wasn't as nice as I was expecting. Additionally, the room was not very large and could not accomodate a cot. The rooms were advertised as "suites," and there was nothing about them that made them a suite. The hotel was as I would expect, but there was a lack of staff working at the guest reception during check-in.

My first room had old crusty washcloths hanging from the shower rod from the previous guests. It also had a peeling ceiling and the air vent above the shower had the sickest-looking fungus/dust balls hanging from it. It was disgusting. We did call and complain, and they moved us right away to a room that didn't have any of that. Was in town working, rates were good, Hotel staff was awesome, too many people to name! The entire staff went above and beyond to make our stay great!

Great location. Took forever to register as all computers were down. Asked for a king room, got two doubles. Nice pool, Starbucks was nice to have in the lobby. Guest desk was helpful.

You pay for what you get and we got a lot. Great view of the river and walking distance to all activities. Hotel bar is pricy and it would have been nice to get free internet, but all in all a great place.

Great hotel in an excellent locale. Renevations were a little noisy at the hotel, but they are necessary for the hotel to get better.

Several of the floors and the gym are being renovated. Sadly the pool was closed as well. Staff was patient and very security aware.

They have just started much needed renovations of the rooms. The clubroom food was minmal and the decor old and worn but a beautiful view. The drink prices in the clubroom and hotel bar were extraordinarily high (12.00 for a mediocre glass of wine.).

I had booked a double room a month and a half in advanced, but when I arrived they had overbooked. they sent us to another hotel for a night. when we got to the second hotel they only had a one queen room, but we had 4 people, so some people had to sleep on the floor. we came back to the sheraton for a second night.I got free parking at the sheraton […] for the "inconvenience". when it was check out day, we had a late flight and I was told that bag storage was free, the bell men were very rude saying "you see storing these bags is going to be a lot of effort for me, I'm going to need to be compensated for my trouble" i had never had that from a bell men before, tips should be based on the quality of the service, and this hotel had very low quality of service. In all, it was a very frantic and confusing trip. I have been to new orleans many other times and would recommend the monteleone or the marriott over the sheraton. Mehr

I was in NOLA for the SEC basketball tournament. The Sheraton was across the street from the Quarter, 2.5 blocks from the casino and a 15 minute walk to the arena. This hotel is clean. The lobby is spacious and a great place to hang out. Employees courteous and helpful. Two negatives: It is a valet only parking, and expensive. I expect to have free […] wi-fi for the daily room rate I paid. Mehr

Every thing was fine but the room was not worth the what was charged per night.The carpet in hall had large wrinkles.Just nothing special about the average room.Also hard to control temperature.

I booked through a 3rd party who did not notify me of the construction going on in the hotel. Needless to say, our stay was very loud and unpleasant. We were not notified of this until after we had already checked-in. Also, this hotel charged me for various things which were not a part of my final bill I received upon check out. Stayed at the Sheraton on Canal for Mardi Gras and had a great time.

We were booked for a club level room which is actually the top 8 or 9 floors. After the first night in our room on the 41st floor at 6 am it sounded as though furniture was being moved over head and doors were slamming. We realized that our room was directly below the Club Lounge. We called the front desk to ask for a room change. She said the hotel […] was full and she could do nothing. So we called the manager and left a message. 5 days later we checked out never having heard back from the manager. Nice view though. Mehr

The Good: Great location, really managed flow of people well during Mardi Gras traffic, Secure and Clean. The bad: Desk clerks and managers were exceptionally unhelpful & unsympathetic about check in time. We were told rooms would be ready by 3pm, then (at 4pm) told that it would be at indefinite time between then and 10pm, while our belongings sat […] unsecured in lobby at bell hop station. Honestly, I understand that you are busy because of holiday weekend, but you've got to have some kind of handle on that. At least during Mardi Gras season, Sheraton has an additional fee per person over 2 per room. Overall, every other staff member was awesome, I really enjoyed my stay and appreciate the cleanliness of the rooms and friendliness of almost everyone. Mehr

The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is wonderful, the location is the best and be sure to get a room up high because the view is simply awesome!

This hotel was so close to Bourbon and Jackson Square. The hotel staff was a little rude at times, but not enough for us not to stay there again. It was probably because it was the weekend before Mardi Gras. One thing to think about if you go during Mardi Gras is the parade schedule. The hotel was within walking distance of everything. The rooms and the lobby were well kept. The only downside was the uncleanliness of the bathrooms on the 2nd floor. I expected a nice hotel like the Sheraton to ensure quality of the most basic ammenity - toilets.

The hotel is in a GREAT location, pretty nice place. I would definitely stay there again.

Very nice hotel located close to the French Quarter, the casino and the Riverfront Mall. This was our second stay in the Sheraton and we plan to stay there again on our next trip.

Great place to stay, right across the road from the start of the french quarter. Also top notch accommodation. Definitely recommend it to anyone!
