The hotel is currently under construction. The service in the "dining room" was uninspired. Not a good choice if you are looking for someplace quiet - lots of screaming kids.

We have stayed here before and just really enjoy the comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. On this trip we were unable to check into our room until 6:30 PM which we were at first a little frustrated about, but as it turned out it was because the person that was in our room (we had requested a specific room and the hotel had graciously accomodated us) […] and hadn't vacated it yet. Despite this issue, the personnel at the front desk (special thanks to Rachael, who was wonderful) were helpful, and even gave us dinner at the restaurant for our patience. That was not necessary, but very kind (and we took them up on it -- the dinner was wonderful!). My wife got a massage at the spa which she said was one of the best she has ever had. The hotel is near the Linda Vista trail head and Catalina park which has great hiking trails which I used to run on each morning. We love this hotel and make special plans to go there once a year even though it is at the very high end of our affordability rate. Mehr

This was our second stay at this hotel. Last year we were very happy with everything. We had a few issues with housekeeping this year and our room seemed run down. Lots of stains on the furniture.

Beautiful grounds and great service with a smile-Would definetly stay here again-room service is also great!

My wife and I were not here to "vacation" but attend a business meeting and view some property. Our two-night stay was still very relaxing. We were well taken care of. We used very few of the facilities available so I cannot comment on those. However, the room was very clean and comfortable and the staff was helpful and friendly.

Beautiful grounds and surrounding landscape--service good and people very friendly

Good location, pool and spa area showing its age, dissappointed had to pay for tennis court usage and wi-fi. Place was ok, but would try someplace else next time.

I WAS VERY IMPREST WITH THE ATTENTIVENESS OF HOTEL EMPLOYEES. I WAS MADE TO FEEL THAT THEY GENUINELY WERE TRYING TO MAKE MY STAY AS PLEASANT AS POSSIBLE THIS INCLUDES YOUR CUSTODIAL SERVICES WHICH I APPROACH ABOUT DIRECTIONS FROM TIME TO TIME. I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE NEXT TIME I GO TO TUCSON.

This hotel was nice, but there was very little staff to be seen. We called for the valet to bring our car to the front and they said it would be there. When we arrived up front, our car was no where to be found. When the valet showed up, he said he had no idea we called. Clean and well-maintained with great views

Had a great 6 nights at this hotel. When checking in building 2 had a bad smell in hallways and rooms, but we were moved to building 1 with no problems by the helpful and efficient staff. Everything else was great. Would definately stay again. Beautiful views from our balcony. Pool area was very nice. Would recommend.

We decided to take a quick holiday trip back to a hotel we stayed a number of years ago. We still found it very friendly, quiet, relaxing with great hikes in the area along with some walking distance from the hotel. We'll be back again to enjoy the views and relaxing times.

We had a lovely stay here and the staff were very helpful. The scenery was beautiful too. Would stay here again.

We walked down the corridor to our room and there was a tray of breakfast plates there and we checked in at 4pm. They stayed there well after 8pm. We opened the room door and it smelled like someone with bad body odor had stayed there. I complained on my way out ( yes I should have complained when I first got in the room but I had ajoining rooms and […] I thought it would be too much of a hassel to move) and the desk clerk said he was sorry. I am impressed with the recent renovation to this resort. We stayed at Westin La Paloma the previous evening and although their public space is beautiful, the rooms are not nearly as nice as the rooms at the El Conquistador. We will be back

This hotel was ok. It was over-priced for a summer special. We found a dead scorpion in the room, moths flying around when we tried to sleep and it took four phone calls to get the pack and plays. The pool was old, but the kids liked the slide. But, on a Friday night in September, they closed the slide at 6 pm! The baby pool was not working and not […] heated, so we could not use that. Our room was pretty, but very old, cabinets were damaged, just old. We would try something different next time for sure. Mehr

We only stayed one night so we didn't get a chance to really tryout all the amenities. My husband and I actually enjoyed our dinner at their restaurant, but it was a little pricey. My only real complaint was that the room was rather dark being on the ground floor.

This is an older property which has a nice appearance however there are a lot of things which bring it down. Though it claims to be family friendly it has turned into a party hotel. There is a lot of noise that carries over into the rooms from the hallways. The grounds appeared well maintained however the beer cans littering the halls and walkways support […] the party atmosphere. Now about parking. It is absolutely HORRIBLE. Mehr

Parking is so far away from rooms even when in possession of a Handicap Placard. Could use valet for a charge......mold in room......room service trays in hallway for days...yes, same trays for days. Moths like locusts in hallways. Bare wires in light fixtures in entrance. Upgraded to junior suite with mountain view....hee hee hee ROOM WAS IN BASEMENT. […] No view needless to say. Ice machine vibration all night long (next door to room). Charge for internet...even motel 6 gives ya that! Regarding the parking, was told there was a spot near our room, and there was, but it was blocked off by a fire barricade post. HILTON???? Feel like a Motel 6 would have been more luxurious and enjoyable. NOT recommended. Will NEVER return. Mehr

The only complaint I would have is that the front desk service wasn't particularly friendly or welcoming. The guy who checked us in didn't get us very good directions and we got lost trying to find our room. Someone called the front to see if we could get help locating our room and the same man came out and told us sarcastically it was because our hotel […] was on a mountain so they floor weren't level. I think we got lost a couple times. There seems to be a need for better directional signs. Mehr

we got a good deal $ for the view room ''''''the view was amazing sad to see mildew in the grout and even the ceiling of the shower beds were great and the overall was good the kid area (including the slide that my hubby wanted to ride) closed at 6 pm we got there about 5 mins too late.....so we just played in the pool.......no towels available at […] the poolside........had to ask inside and 25 mins later from a gentleman that perhaps was part of the maintainance crew, who brought them immediately and with apologies we typically stay @ a 3 star(depending on value) when we travel.....I was kind of hoping for more from a 4Star.......not bad.don't do it w/ kids Mehr

We just wanted to get away for a long weekend. El Conquistador was wonderful. Staff was helpful and courteous. We arrived before check in time, we had an early tee time. Staff checked us in early so we were able to get settled in before golf. They also helped us receiving/sending a fax, answering questions about freebies that were included with our […] hotels.com reservation, and providing us with late check out. The hotel itself is gorgeous. Setting in the Catalina foothills is breathtakingly beautiful. Very nice pool area and lots of activities. Bar and restaurant are a little pricey ($12 Margaritas), but the food was very good (we had complimentary breakfast buffet). Our room was clean and beds are comfortable... I really enjoy Hilton's down bedding. Loved the nearby golf options and shuttle service to/from the golf courses. Only one complaint, our a/c unit was not functioning properly during one night. Might have been due to the very hot/humid weather. It "fixed" itself by morning. Overall, we were very satisfied and plan to return. Highly recommend to couples or families. Lots of options! Mehr

We had a very enjoyable stay at this excellent hotel, very good amenities, excellent pool areas and gardens. Couple of suggestions for families; seek out some of the local restaurants for lunch and dinner, pool area meals at the hotel are expensive. Also our room (casita) did not have a microwave oven. It did have a locked mini bar but no other refrigerator. […] Overall, excellent, particularly at Hotel.com rates. Mehr

Very Good overall, but a tip is to stay away on July 4 weekend. Pool scene was like Animal House with a mob of "locals" having a staycation deal. The hotel staff did well considering the mob scene. Would recommend a midweek stay for a more relaxing time.

Great hotel, we had a suite with a living room & dining room, and wet bar for the price of standard room. Food and beverage prices were pretty pricy in the restaurants and bars, but service was great.

Had a great time with our friends in Tucson at the El Conquistador! Stayed in the casitas which was very nice. Pool was convenient and clean. I thought it was supposed to be an adult pool, but there were kids there which was a little disappointing. (my kids are raised and it is nice sometimes to just have it be quiet...) While Hilton Hotels are always a good bet, I am always disapointed in the fact that they charge between $12.95- $14.95 for internet access. For the business travelers who are there during the week and are loyal customers it seems to be an excess charge considering that I can go to a almost any other hotel and get free access upon check in!

Hotel was very nice and clean. Great location if you want to be outside the city. It was very close to our family we were visiting. Hotel staff at front desk was very rude. You are supposed to have a wrist band on to use the pool. when you ask for more, the staff is very rude about giving more out.m But when at the pool no one is checking to see if […] you have a wrist band on. Hotel staff needs to understand that this is a resort and to treat its guest properly. I heard the Westin a few miles down pampers thier guests. May want to look into that hotel as well. Mehr

The room was very clean. The only thing that I didn't like was the parking. We had to walk a while in the heat with our luggage to get to our room. The rest of the weekend was fine.

The stay was everything that we expected. As we stayed during the off-peak season, it was not crowded and we were able to access all facilities. We look forward to our next stay!

This hotel is perfect !! Especially if you have little kids. Our kids (5& 2) couldnt get enough of the water slide, and kiddy pools. The pool was very clean, and the grounds were very neat also. We already booked our next trip back. The food is a little pricey. But the over all stay is worth it.

Not too crowded resort with views of the mountians, nice pool area for kids as well as adults.

The kids and I stayed just one night. It is one of our favorites and couldn't resist the summer deal. The beds are very comfortable and the room is clean. We enjoyed the pool and the patio. The employees are friendly and helpful. I personally enjoyed the mountain views and we will return next month for a weekend of relaxation.
