Holiday Inn Norman - Norman

Location was great. Close to great restaurants, shopping, I-35. Lots of kids due to NCAA event but quiet in the room. Front Desk Staff was exceptional. We were very happy with this hotel.

Enjoyed the stay. This is the 2nd time staying at this hotel. We will probably use this hotel in the future both going and coming to our destinations.

The room was very large, felt like two hotel rooms. It's somewhat convenient to OU, but the light at the mall was annoying. Area with some newer restaurants was good. The service was very nice and overall stay was very good! I recommend it!!

The staff was friendly and helpful. The in house restaurant was a pleasant surprise for drinks, dinner and breakfast the next morning. However, the "hot tub" was not hot and the access in and out was very dificult to negotiate as the too few steps were very far apart. I'd have to think twice about trying to use the spa tub.

This hotel has a mini suite that includes one large king bed and a so-so fold out couch. This is the ideal set up when my mom and my daughter and I visit my son, a student at OU. The room is reasonably nice, bed is comfortable and front desk staff have always been pleasant. I think this must be the go-to hotel for kids competing in soccer tournaments […] and people with pets. This was my third visit and each time the pool and hot tub have been jam packed with kids and I've heard puppies crying in rooms on my floor. I will definitely return though - as it's convenient and has a good room for a party of three. Mehr

Lukewarm water in the shower, extremely weak (almost nonexistent) wifi signal. Room was clean, bed was comfortable.

The hotel was located right where we needed to be so we could make it to our event for the weekend. Many resturants and shopping malls surrounding the area . Hotel was clean and kept. Had few complaints .. not enough towels in room/key didnt work at first but, they fixed everything as we asked.

The Hotel is clean. Pleasant front desk people. Great pool and hot tub. Very close to shopping. Nice distance to Oklahoma University. easy access to the highway.

Had to have a desk chair replaced that was broken when we arrived. Staff was very prompt but replacement chair was also in poor repair. Room a/c's need cleaning. Overall not a bad experience.

We needed a pet friendly hotel. This hotel offered a great value for the price. There was a $20 pet fee, but the staff was friendly and they have a nice indoor pool. The rooms appeared to be recently refurnished. Cons - the breakfast buffet was a little overpriced.

The staff here couldn't do enough for me when I checked in. They are wonderful!!

this hotel had the most comfortable bed. Better than mine at home. The room was set up nice and the bathroom had the higher toilet which is helpful as I age. I would stay again anytime in Norman.

Me and my wife have been taking road-trips from Austin to Kansas City and vice versa for around 10 years and sometimes stop overnight in the OKC/Norman area... This was by far the worst experience. I called earlier in the day to request a crib be made available for the room as my (pregnant) wife was driving by herself with 3 small children and my 14 […] month old-son was going to need a crib. When she arrived around 11pm, she was told the room she was supposed to stay in was not clean and placed in another room... I'm not sure what that means. The worst thing of all is that she was not provided a crib until 2 hours later... That is unacceptable and I did call to complain and asked them what they were going to do to make it right. They said that they would call within 48 hours... It has been over a week now and they still have not called back... Not going to stay there again. That is terrible service and a lack of follow-up tnat I cannot accept. Mehr

Reserved TWO ROOMS for weekend game for non-smoking,when we arrived they assigned us Two Rooms that smelled like a cigar ashtray. They were not able to change due to being fully occupied. With weekend Rates like they have, I thought They would get it right or comp a free breakfast .I know better now how they treat us who stay at Holiday inn during a […] weekend game . We were dissapointed with the overall condition of this hotel. Not to mention the lack of free breakfast. We ALWAYS choose Holiday Inn since in the past we have had excellent service. When we got there the luggage carts all had flat tires. We notified the staff and upon leaving, 4 days later, the tires were still flat. When we got off the elevator on […] the 6th floor, the hallway was very hot and stuffy. The tempature of our room was comfortable as long as we kept the curtains closed. Our air conditioner did not seem to be able to keep up with the heat. Thankfully that night a cool front came through, so the rest of the stay was enjoyable, Until the last night when I was awakened at 2am by the sound of dripping water. Our ceiling was leaking! We notified the staff, they were very apologetic, but I don't think we will ever stay in that hotel again. The room was large and roomy, so it was very sad that the quality of the upkeep was not what we were expecting. Mehr

Room was very nice, bathrooms need a little remodeling. There was a little dog wondering around on the 4th floor. I thought that the dog floor was on the 6th floor. I caught him getting ready to pee. Did not see a owner with him. I also called to follow up on my reservations and we had requested adjoining rooms (which we did not get) and late check […] in - there was nothing on our reservation. Concerned me, but could be Hotels.com did not passing.We were able to check in early and go on to the football game which made very handy. Mehr

Everything was perfect with the exception of having to ask for a 3rd set of towels, cups etc every day of our stay. Even though we had 3 people in the room we constantly had to ask for an extra set of everything to be brought up. it was always brought up quickly, but always had to be requested. Rooms were very clean, people were very friendly.

The hotel itself was nice and fine it was the lack of air-conditioning in the 100+ heat that made it uncomfortable.

. DESK CLERK ANSWERS TO MAINTIANCE & MAIDS WHO ARE IN CHARGE OF CHECK IN AT THIS HOTEL. INDOOR POOL(WHICH IS WHY WE STAYED HERE) WAS AT LEAST 100 DEGREES WITH NO A/C SO WE COULD NOT USE POOL!! BREAKFAST WAS WORSE. YOU COULD NOT EAT THERE.! NO PLATES,NO CUPS< NO WATER, NO COFFEE. THE ONLY LIQUID ON THE BUFFET WAS ORANGE JUICE & MY KIDS HAD TO DRINK THAT […] OUT OF COFFEE CUPS!! THEN THEY RAN OUT OF FIRST EGGS< THEN BACON. THERE"S MORE BUT I "M AFRAID i"LL RUN OUT OF ROOM. OH WELL HERE'S MORE. THE DESK CLERK IS RUNNING BACK & FORTH TO BUFFET LIKE A CHICKEN WITH IT'S HEADS CUT OFF WHILE THE COOK ,APRON STILL ON IS RUNNING BEHIND THE DESK . BOTH DON"T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH ABOUT 20 OF US THERE FOR THE BUFFET!! I DON"T KNOW IF NONE OF THE WAIT STAFF SHOWED UP FOR WORK OR WHAT BUT CUSTOMERS INCLUDING US WERE WALKING OUT SHAKING THEIR HEADS . this hotel is OLD and has not been kept up! The toilet was not secure and rocked back and forth. The air conditioner did not work and it was over 100 degrees outside. They did move us after they explained that there was a work order for the AC. If the rates were cheap I could better understand the condition of this hotel. It was the most we spent on […] the entire vacation for a room and all the rest were very nice modern hotels. Mehr

Had reserved mini suite with king bed. A/C was not working, asked to be moved. No suites available nor kings beds. Accepted a room with two doubles. a/c was working in that room.

Very nice stay here. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. I would recomend this hotel to others. The only negative I could mention would be the fitness center. It could use some free wieghts or some type of resistance training machine like a bow flex. A treadmill, stair climber and recumbent bike doesn't make for much of a fitness center.

The room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. The carpet was dirty and the windows were so dirty we could barely see out of them. We had requested a non-smoking room and double beds and we received rooms that reeked of smoke with king beds. Our clothes smelled awful after staying there. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to any OU parents.

Hotel clerk was not very friendly and carpets in halways were dirty with grass. Pool was nice but in need of some repairs. Pool water was warm and hot tub was just a bit warmer. Jets in hot tub were very weak if working at all. Outback across the street was wonderful and we did not have to drive. Dog fee was 20 bucks, which is a good deal. The beding […] was top notch and comfortable. We used on site laundy to clean dirty sleeping bag our dog sleeps on. Easy access to I-35 on way from KC to San Antonio. Mehr

WOW - we loved this hotel! We will definitely stay there again, rooms were nice and so was indoor pool. We weren't there long enough to try everything else though!

we booked a non smoking room and paid for a non smoking room it smelled very bad and there was mold and dirt all around the window and at check out i told them about the room condition and wasnt offered any compinsation or anything so we are very disatisfied with it.

This is a great Holiday Inn. It appears to have been updated with flat screen TV and tall comfy beds. It has great indoor pool. Downside was breakfast - not complimentary and not up to restaurant standards so I recommend skipping altogether.

It's a nice Holiday Inn. We enjoyed the pool. The breakfast buffet was very good. We also walked across the parking lot to the movie theaters. There are plenty of restraunts nearby. We will probably stay there once each year.

Our room was clean, very well put together, and the staff was very friendly!! Our only complaint was online it appeared to be very close to the RiverWind casino. In reality it was not quite as close as it appeared online. It was not far, just not what we expected. Hotel very clean and front desk person friendly. When we arrived our room had just been renovated and was obviously not completed. We called the front desk to complain. The hotel personal responded quickly and within a few minutes we were moved to a very nice, completely renovated room. Would use this hotel again.
