Courtyard by Marriott Columbus Downtown - Columbus

Upon arrival, the valet was busy so I waited patiently for a few minutes, but he kept looking at meand never came back to the car for a greeting or an explanation for timing so I parked the car myself in a lot that was just across the street. The desk staff was great, the building - nostalgic. I liked the room and the ammenities. The garbage truck banging […] aroung the dumpsters for about 5 to 10 minutes at 3:20 A.M. was extremely annoying. There was no consideration given by the hotel for the inconvenience. With the absence of the garbage truck, it was a very nice hotel. I could easily look past an inexperienced valet. I doubt I will stay here again. Mehr

This was my second time staying at this hotel, and everything was good. This chain is my go-to when booking business trips and I never really have any complaints. There was one pretty big inconvenience during my last trip, though. In past hotels, I usually find electrical sockets near the bed (albeit, behind the nightstands). This time though, the sockets […] were on the wall behind the bed. This meant that in order to plug in my phone, which I use as an alarm clock, I had to move the mattress and squeeze my hand under the headboard. This, coupled with the fact that the housekeeper forgot to leave hand soap on my first night, keep me from giving this hotel an outright 5. Mehr

Great location. I didn't come by car but I saw no parking place next to it. DO NOT spend money on breakfast in the hotel, it had the worst potatoes and the buffet eggs were downright scary. Internet was slow, one of the two elevators was out of order for the entire three days. There is no elevator on the floor the lobby is on, so you have to lug your […] suitcase up 10 steps, very odd arrangement. Small pool,too small for swimming, small exercise room. No safe in hotel room. Basic bedding, the mattress was marginal. The place was not really up to usual Marriott standards. Helpful staff. Mehr

There are too many steps from the main lobby to the first floor or lower lobby where the elevator is. The message on Hotels does say not handica[ accessable, but I think it should specify the step sitiation,. For reason I would not stay at this hotel again. I am not reaaly handicaped, but do have problems with stairs.

We frequently stay at this hotel due to its location to all the attractions downtown. Staff is friendly and rooms are clean & comfortable. We'll be back again!

The only parking at the hotel is valet around 18.00 a day. Not a big deal for me, just wasted some of my time looking for parking because I didn't know. They also don't tell you, but there's a public garage a block and a half away that is cheaper if you don't mind the walk

I have stayed here before. It is nicely located for me; convenient for my business. Good, clean hotel (NO bedbugs!) with a good breakfast buffet and a relaxing pool and jacuzzi. Valet parking overpriced but otherwise good.

We picked this hotel for the closeness to the Nationwide Arena for a Blue Jackets hockey game. It was a nice short walk, only a few blocks away. The front desk staff was extremely friendly & helpful. The valet parking was a little pricey but it was convenient and the parking attendants were friendly and quick. The room was very clean, comfortable and […] cozy. The only odd thing was that the dresser & tv was on the side of the bed instead of at the foot of the bed so you had to turn your neck to watch tv. That's not a big deal though. We were extremely happy with the stay and would definitely recommend and stay there again. Mehr

The staff were tip top, but the rest of the facility really wasn't what I expected for the price. The location was very convenient for our weekend needs, with plenty of restaurants, shops, theaters nearby in addition to the ice rink. Still, the room was very odd, you walked straight into the bed from the door. I'm sure the price was influenced by the […] big OSU vs. Michigan football game, and the holiday weekend, but still, the hotel was very over priced. Mehr

The hotel was nice, clean, and easy walking distance to the Nationwide Arena, the Short North, and Brewery District. No more than a 10-15 minute walk in any direction on clean, safe streets. You do not need a car if your only business is downtown Columbus and you want a little exercise. The value for the money was terrific. Yes, you can a better room […] at the Hyatt, for example, but you will pay a lot more and not get the value you would if you just stayed here. They even had a very nice neighboring restaurant deliver room service to you in 20 minutes. All in all, a very good hotel with nice, friendly front staff and good service for a very reasonable price. This hotel was very nice. It was clean & the staff was helpful. I felt the rooms weren't set up very well. Our room had 2 Double beds, would have preferred queen size but wasn,t an option. There was a sitting area that could have been used to make the room seem bigger as it was too small to actually entertain in. Breakfast was available, but kind of […] pricey. It was in a great location & we had no problems finding our way around. Mehr

By far, the kindest staff I've ever had the pleasure of meeting!

There are obvious quality issues that make this room $20 - $25 cheaper than other downtown Columbus hotels.

I was there only over night and it was great.

Good location. Two blocks from Convention Center. Can go through Federal Building to get to the Convention Center - about a 10 minute walk. Several choices for food around the hotel.

loved the water pressure in the shower. with all the low-flow out there these days, i appreciate good shower pressure and the hotel has it. one thing that was odd was their policy to let you chose whether they gave you fresh towels every day. Everyday i hung my towel on the rod indicating I would use it again and save water... but everyday i had fresh […] towels. Marriott, you don't get credit for being green by having a sign but not training your staff to pay attention to it. Mehr

the room was small- layout was odd- there was a step up into the room once you entered that could be hazardous. The overall cleanliness was nice, the fitness facility was nice, parking was ok, $18,00 for the night. There was a nice selection of restaurants in the area all within walking distance.

Everything was as you might expect. Small enclosed pool, outdoor courtyard for smoking, located well for Central Columbus,

The folks at the Mariott were very helpful and made our stay that much more comfortable. The room was clean and the view was nice!

The Courtyard was located downtown Columbus - near many businesses and restaurants. Parking was $6 in a public lot a block away, or you could valet for about $18. The hotel was comfortable - nice, but an older Courtyard property. Great, friendly service. Bar, but no restaurant on site. I was happy to buy a soda & granola bar from the mini-convenience […] store by the front desk. Wifi was fast & free. Mehr
