Das Hotelpersonal ist äusserst freundlich. Die Zimmer sehr ruhig, die Lage recht zentral. Der Spa Bereich war nicht besonders sauber. Absolut weiter zu empfehlen.

Professionel hotel with perfect location near city center and all attractions. One of the few hotels with easy parking

We had a great stay at this hotel. The concierge staff was beyond helpful with my husband and son, both of whom are golfers and came to play. This hotel is close enough to Princes and St. Georges Streets, making shopping very easy, and yet you can still venture out to restaurants in the opposite direction. Great friendly staff in a beautiful hotel. A little tricky to find due to road works but other than that an excellent location. Executive twin was of high quality.

Though the hotel is in the end of a substantial refurb (meaning some of the facilities were closed), we had a really wonderful stay at this hotel. We opted for the "Club" room, which was very comfortable and very nicely designed, gave access to the 7th floor lounge, free drinks, continental breakfast, free internet and - more importantly - the One […] Spa. We've stayed in a lot of spa hotels, but the spa facilities really did amaze. We spent HOURS in there. And lying in the aerated outdoor thermal pool staring up at the night sky was a genuine thrill. Go go go. Worth every penny. Go now while the rates are good. Mehr

This hotel was perfectly located as we needed access to the Exhibition Centre and it was next door. However it was a 5 min walk to Princes Street, so very central. The hotel was marvellous, we had a problem with parking as our vehicle was too large for the underground parking, they accommodated us without any issues whatsoever. The room was lovely, […] the spa and rooftop hydro pool was lovely, the restaurant and bar was lovely! The service was incredible, nothing was too much trouble. I think this is also to do with the fact that everyone in Edinburgh is so kind and friendly. We ate at two superb restaurants too - Angels & Bagpipes and Ondine. Both excellent, book ahead though. Everything was perfect with the exception of all the building works going on outside which were not mentioned on booking. The Thermal Spa is worth the extra money to visit and the rooms were perfect. Didn't get time to sample the restaurant or bar but everything looked up to the standard you expect from this Hotel Group.

Be sure to visit the One Spa when you stay here. The new Executive Lounge experience is also worth considering. Good choice of food and drinks.

Very comfortable bedrooms. However the refurbishment seems to be taking forever and the lack of public spaces to meet friends is inconvenient. Housekeeping & servicing of rooms commences at 5.30 am and disturbed us due to constant door banging. Looking forward to returning in April and hopefully the hotel will be finally refurbshed. The Sheraton Grand is undergoing some major refurbishment. All the rooms have been completed to a very high standard. The temporary main reception is not so nice and it is very complicated route to get to main accomadation. I had a couple of issues with towels for the room but all in all I had a very pleasant stay at the Sheraton Grand. I have stayed at the Sheraton before but as this was a special occasion I upgraded to a Club room which I would definately recommend. The service you receive from all staff but especially the staff in the Club Lounge is wonderful. The Club rooms are all decorated to a very high standard and they have catered for every need. We used the One Spa and I […] would highly recommend the rooftop pool - you would never have believed you were outside in Edinburgh in November! We loved this hotel. It was clean, modern, and easily accessible to all the sights of Edinburgh. The room was fabulous - very modern and comfortable. I loved the changing light colors in the bathroom and the convenient light switches. The conceirge was very knowledgeable, giving us good recommendations for food choices. Very central hotel with a wonderful view of Edinburgh Castle. We stayed in two five star hotels in Edinburgh and despite half the ground floor being closed for refurbishment we would definately return to this one for our next visit to Edinburgh. The closure of the ground floor was a pain because it meant a really roundabout trip to our room from the […] street but I am sure it will be nice when it has all been finished. Our only complaint would be the ridiculous amount they charge for breakfast...£17 for continental and £20 f0r full breakfast, My husband ordered a full breakfast in our room and it was stone cold by the time it reached us so we would give that a miss in future, Mehr

My wife, baby daughter and I stayed at the Sheraton in Edinburgh just for a single night, but really enjoyed our short stay. There are renovations ongoing in the foyer and main entrance area so getting in and out of the hotel is more difficult than you might expect. That said, the staff are very friendly, attentive and professional and the rooms inside […] the hotel are very nice, modern and stylish. As it was an unplanned stay, I never took any sportswear, so never experienced the pool or the gym facilities, but the facilities looked great. The breakfast is fantastic and actually worth the 20 pounds a head extra (really). The location of the hotel is perfect, midway between the old town and the new town with everywhere within easy walking distance. Depending on your room, you may even get a stunning view of the castle from your room. I'll definitely be staying here next time I'm in Edinburgh. Mehr

We have stayed many times before & been very pleased.This visit the hotel was being renovated and the drilling disruptions where completely unacceptable. We reported the noise and requested a room move to a quiet part of the hotel. We were fortunate and allocated another room. I do not believe the hotel should have allocated any of the affected rooms […] to their customers. The affected rooms on our visit were in one part of the hotel but the renovation will take 4 months, so is be warned and consider requesting a quiet room in advance of your arrival. We were woken at 9.15 and the drilling continued until we left the room until 10.30! Mehr

Overall the hotel is excellent-- but beware the hotel is revamping its restaurant area so there's construction due to start very soon.

We stayed one night with friends, the rooms were very comfortable and well appointed, loved the bathroom - very modern with mood lighting, spacious and with a separate shower. Location of the hotel was good so you could walk everywhere, staff were very friendly and efficient, would stay there again.

We were told by yourself of work being carried-out Unable to be able, In or Out from the FRONT of The Hotel We had to use out side stairs up & down 20 times!

This hotel was very good in every way, except for the wifi connection that was limited to 30 minutes for your entire stay. I would think the hotel could provide a wifi connection in the room.

The Sheraton Grand was a great choice. The room had every modern convenience and the biggest and most high tech bathroom I've ever seen in a hotel in Europe. It was very close to all of the major attractions of Edinburgh and the surrounding neighborhood had lots of different restaurant choices. I highly recommend it.

Weekend break. Hotel has a great location and service. Lobby could do with a re-vamp but the rest of the hotel is modern and excellent. Lovely rooms. Would use it again, no question.

What a lovely break! The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly, and it was conveniently located (if you like hills and steps!) for everything. Edinburgh is a very lovely city with lots to offer. We stuck to the old town and the Royal Mile, but the new town seems a buzzing metropolis as well. The spa facilities were second to none and the hydropool […] on the roof was very relaxing and indulgent. The highlight of our break was undoubtedly when my boyfriend proposed to me in the hotel room!! We then enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Witchery by the Castle, an amazing restaurant. Mehr

My only disappointment was the fact that there was no access a sauna, jaccuzzi as it was all included in the Spa and it would cost us to attend. It was too expensive when we only had an hour to spare. I had expected these things to be available near the main pool

The rooms were so clean, beds so comfortable...I didn't want to leave. The food was expensive, but it was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay.....Edinburg is a beautiful, friendly city.

The rooms were updated and very contemporary. The hotel lobby and lounges were more of a classic, elegant style. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Definitely would stay there again.

Very impressed with our room which was very modern and well designed, didn't explore much else of the hotel but the common areas all looked good.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! The bathroom was contemporary and fun! And the bed was extremely comfortable.. It is walking distance to the castle as well.

Modern, clean, relaxed hotel. Fantastic staff in particular concierge. Great spa facilities. Definately worth a visit.

Everything went to plan, the complementary use of the health club next store was much appreciated. The value was there, this is a very nice hotel

Fabulous, luxurious hotel exytremely well situated to take advantage of all the that Edinburgh had to offer. The breakfasts were very expensive and I would reccomend sourcing alternate options in the city.

this hotel was probably the best one my partner and i have stayed in.the staff were superb.the one spa was out of this world and a very good location.

Love this hotell. very nice room and really good service

The staff are very helpful the hotel is in a fabulous location and it could not be faulted in any way, rooms have been upgraded and are contemporary . this is the second time we have been and I would book here again when we go back to Edinburgh

When will they give this good location hotel a new face? How about 2 yrs ago. What are they waiting for. We go to Scotland often on weekends and next time we will stay someplace different.

This is the best place in town for both comfort & enjoyment. The hotel has never failed to provide me with the expected quality. The location and an ability to park & leave your car, as well as being able to walk to some favourite restuarants is just the job.

Before strating, I have to admit that i got such a great deal for the rooms I booked on hotels.com that I thought a mistake had been made and this is not a cheap hotel so expect to pay for the luxury elements! The great thing about this hotel is its location. Don;t be put off by first impressions because the cab from the airport took us into the […] complex by back streets and our initial impression was that we were miles from anywhere of interest. This was far from true. The hotl is very central and no more than a 15 minute walk fro anywhere a tourisat or Festival visitor would want to visit. Minor niggles: they never re-stocked the minibar and, as usual, breakfast prices were exorbitant! Otherewise very impressive. Mehr
