Great location in the heart of Waikiki. Downside for us was the lack of space around resort facilities. Pool was small compared to others and very heavy traffic. But if you want to be in the midst of Waikiki, this is the place to be.

The hotel location and hotel were great, but the resort fee was over $30 a day plus tax. This is a ripoff since the things it covered used to be included in the cost of the room. It included Wi-Fi, use of computers, pool towels, 60 min. of long distance (which we all have our cell phones), cable, free parking, a free bottle water a day. Our stay was good and the room was okay. We were disappointed that the housekeeping did not do there job very well. They barely cleaned the room not replacing ice bags and glasses and had to be called as they missed cleaning our room on one of the night stay. Not sure if we would use this hotel again as with a high price you expect more. The kids enjoyed […] the pool but it was very cold and I could not even go in it, again for the money the pool should be heated and not expect the sun to heat it for them. It is worth paying the daily resort charge if you do stay at this hotel, as this was a benefit for sure. We would not suggest eating at the Rum Fire restaurant located beside the pool as the service was horrible for the price you were paying. The rules have also change as kids no longer eat for free apparently, no one seemed to know the correct answer so inquire first. Mehr

This was my fourth trip back to Sheraton Waikiki on what has become an annual trip here with my sister for some relaxation in the sun and some shopping. The resort is perfectly located right on the beach with magnificent sea views. The main draw card is the infinity pool (for adults only) where as an alternative to the sun deck chairs, you can soak […] up the sun floating on a bean bag, drink in hand, being lulled by the waves braking in front and Hawaian music playing. Most afternoons you see turtles frolicking in the water just metres away. The rooms are average but comfortable and well maintained and clean and the balconies are reasonably sized. Having said that, we don't come to Waikiki to spend too much in our hotel room, so it suits us well. The breakfast buffet is very wide in variety and the quality of food is consistently very good. The staff throughout the hotel are curteous and efficient, always greeting you with a smile and 'Aloha'. Every request or enquiry we had was quickly taken care of...on one day bottled water was not supplied to our room but one phone call and it was delivered immediately. Rum Fire bar downstairs is a great place for unwinding and relaxing with cocktails with great music at night. When booking our annual Hawaiian holiday we look at other resorts but our past experience here and that fantastic pool always brings us back to Sheraton Waikiki. Mehr

Crazy long lines to check in...very impersonal, then on top of top rate charges they charged me a resort fee....what a joke...a terrible sugar laden "cocktail" and you could never get a chair by the pool unless you got up at 6 and put a towel down on a chair and went back to bed.. Highlights - location, adult infinity pool, bar's and room size. Potential issues - reception and reservations were slow, often incorrect and at least one of our room keys stopped working everyday - annoying as we then stood in the line at reception to have a new card fixed (anything from 10 minutes and on one occasion 1.5 hour!) this was not a good […] way to spend the holiday. Great location, friendly staff. Given the rating of 4.5, I found the floor we stayed on was in need of a paint job on the doors and trim... and our room was the also in need of make over.

We found The Sheraton to be a welcoming hospitable place, the staff were wonderful in always being attentive to our needs, nothing was ever a problem. We had a lovely stay there and found it to be extremely relaxing.

Unimpressive interiors though the pool and restaurant area are somewhat nice. Staff is slow to respond and at times seemed deliberately unhelpful. Very small price difference from Moana Surfrider or even Halekulani on nights but huge difference in quality.

The hotel is constantly full so is a very busy place with over 1700 rooms Prior to departing we were very disappointed with expedia advising us that the sheraton waikiki were requiring us to mona surfer due to maintence and there was no choice but to move. In the end I called the Sheraton Wakiki (their world wide toll free number wont put you through […] to honolulu so a direct call) and spoke to a customer service person who advised i had to leave a message for the manager. We had ocean front rooms and waking up to see Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head was breathtaking and seeing turtles swimming in the ocean from our lanai was just amazing. All the staff thoughout the hotel were friendly, courteous and helpful. The location of the hotel was within walking distance to some fabulous shopping and restaurants.

Very basic room in terms of furnishings. The toiletries provided were very minimal, not even shower cap, cotton buds or sanitary disposal bag.

We found the Sheraton to be very clean. The staff at check in were outstanding & offered us a free upgrade to an ocean view room which was fantastic! We had travelled from Tasmania & were very grateful when they found us a room which was ready for us instead of waiting until the normal 3pm check in time. Our shower head broke during our stay but after […] one call to reception the problem was fixed by maintenance with minutes! Fantastic location. Great ocean view (from the ocean front rooms). Rooms are spacious, comfortable and have everything we need. Sometimes long waits at reception and for breakfast.

If you get a room with a view of Diamond head it has one of the best views around and is well worth it. Location is also amazing. Otherwise, the hotel needs a face lift.

Somewhat disappointed when I ask for full ocean view upgrade (paid for Partial View) and free breakfast but couldn't be done, Yet I found out later someone else that booked a City View room (with free breakfast included in their price) had a free upgrade to full ocean view.

You were required to check out formally at the front desk and this took 1 hour! Ridiculous! There was a $25 per diem "resort fee" that included wifi but you could rarely get wifi and never in your room. Supplies were lean.....had to ask for more toilet paper and towels. Disappointed and wouldn't return.

Staff were lovely and courteous. The air conditioner was too cold on one end of the room. Particularly noticeable when on the bed on the side which the a/c was on. A great large resort right on the beach with a wide variety of activities and amenities. A really good gym, kids pool with slide, adult only pool and gym activities in the morning. Ocean front rooms are smaller than I thought they would be and part of view blocked by a concrete balcony until you are out on blacony unless you ask for one with railings […] but still really good - we weren't there for the room though. Got a great deal with buffet breakfast included which was good value. There is a $25 resort fe daily but that gives you free internet access, a one hour international call per day, free parking in hotel, free water and a few other things. Mehr
