Sheraton Heathrow Hotel - London

Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist gut und das Hotel ist sehr bemüht aus dem Pool der ganzen Hotels aufder Bath Road herausstechen.

Ich bin mit britischer Airway nach LA geflogen und hat bei Umsteigen in Heathrow eine Nacht im Hotel uebernachtet. Die Einchecken hat lang gedauert weil viele Fluggaeste gleichzeitig ankommen und in CheckIn Schalter nur mit 2 Personal besetzt hat. Ansonst ist das Zimmer fuer London Verhaeltnis preiswert und ruhig obwohl es in der Naehe der Flughafen […] steht. Nur die Lage ist sehr unguenstig wenn man London downtown besichtigen will. Mit U-Bahn dauert die Fahrt zum Lonton Victoria 45 Minuten. Das Fruehstueck in Hotel ist auch viel zu teuer. Zum Glueck steht ein Mc Donald direkt dem Hotel gegenueber. Mehr

It's the usual bad experience with Sheraton Airport hotels. Building and facilities are old, everything looks a bit shabby, the towels were smelly. Free WiFi is fine but useless if it's not strong enough to work in your room. Service and food is OK but given the prices they charge it's really a place where you should only stay if you can't avoid it […] . Mehr

Internet access in rooms was very expensive. If Holiday Inn can do it as a service for customers, why can't Sheraton?

The best airport hotel there is.

EXCELLENT SERVICE, CLEANLINESS AND FOOD WAS SUPERB. A PLACE YOU MUST STAY IN IF YOU ARE NEEDING A HOTEL AT HEATHROW!

For an airport hotel, I didnt have great expectations. The rooms were comfortable and clean; the staff was friendly and attentive. The food in the restaurant was pretty good. Overall, no complaints. I would stay here again.

Room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Bathroom stocked with little extras. The only down side was charging £25 to park the car, I thought that was a bit steep and will probably stay elsewhere for that reason.

I stayed here because I had a 6.15am flight next day. It's close to the airport but the bus from the terminals is slow and every 20 minutes or so, so it can take you 45 minutes to get there. Taxi is better. The hotel is fine as a place to stay near the airport - clean, efficient, good service and very good value for money.

This is definitely not a 4 star hotel and not in the category of most Sheraton Hotels. It is very run down. In addition after a 20 minute wait to be checked in I walked a very long way to a room that someone else was already checked into. I would not stay here again.

Excellent service, room cleanliness and food. Prices are very reasonablle for this class of hotel. The buffet breakfast is great, so always include it in your booking.

Nice service,close to the airport,all just worked fine.

Lobby and restaurant were recently renovated and were fantastic. Bright, clean, good food - we were pleased with this. The hallways had a bit of an odour I think because the carpet and wallpaper are so old - they definitely need a refresh. The rooms didn't smell but again - they are in desperate need of an update. The hot/cold water was a bit of an […] issue. At nighboth our shower & bathroom sink only gave hot water. In the morning the shower seemed to only run cold but eventually we got the hot cominng through - however the bathroom sink was again an issue. It was quiet though and for the location was good. The shuttle made it very convenient location for an early morning flight. Mehr

Rooms are very clean, spacious and nice. Staff was adequate but not above average. Very few restaurants within walking distance. I view this hotel as nothing more than a place to stay for the convenience of being somewhat near Heathrow Airport. Nothing really negative but nothing outstanding.

Room was comfortable anad clean. My only complaint was the shower water was to hot. I could not control the temperature to my satisfaction.

Very convenient for Heathrow and dropping off rental car, Efficient, Clean. Thifty/Dollar car rental right in the hotel.

The bed was terrible the room was cold the hotel was freezing the bathroom only had boiling hot water - no cold the restaurant had just opened so the problems there are not listed!

I selected this hotel, because of the proximity to Heathrow. Since I had a 20-hour layover, I thought it would be a convenient place for dumping my bags and getting to Central London for a quick day of sightseeing. Make sure that you have exact fare for the bus, or close to it, for the 10-minute ride from Heathrow. The fare is 4.5 Sterling and the […] bus drivers are none too happy when you don't have the exact fare. Upon arriving, the staff seemed friendly, but they weren't very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and only offered McDonald's as an option for a quick bite to eat. Asking for something, anything, seemed a bit of a chore for the people who worked there. The hotel is a bit run down throughout the hallways, in need of new paint and new carpeting, but the room was clean and comfortable. The lobby computers worked perfectly and printing rail and boarding passes were a breeze. For being close to the airport, I found the room to be fairly quite. The restaurant doesn't open until 5:00 pm and, as noted earlier, the only offereings were the McDonald's across the street, or a 15-minute walk to a pub. There is not cash machine on the premise and the staff in the hotel gift shop knew next to nothing about the area, or even the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay for more than a layover night, but even then there may be others that might be better. If you are going to be in London and want to spend time in Central London, my advice would be to spend the extra dough on a room in Central London and use the Heathrow Express to get back to the airport for you flight out. Breakfast way too expensive

Hotel ground floor under refurbishment. Restricted check in desks and horrible temporary diningroom. Hotel.com must advise its clients ahead.

The hotel is close to the airport with good accessability by using H4 Hoppa Bus which can is at departures Terminal 3. The hotel restaurant is expensive as there is nothing in walking distance around the area. We arrived at the hotel at 9am and they gave us a room right away. No Complaints.

We booked a room at the last minute because of bad weather and the need to catch an early flight from the airport and booked on the basis of the information on the web site. We were a little disappointed on arrival to find the hotel a building site with the reception area resembling what I assume a benefits office would look like. There appeared to […] be no bar or restaurant and the room was very tired. The shower fittings were coming out of the wall and the bathroom vent was blocked with dust. No worries as we only needed to sleep and as we were leaving at 5am breakfast was not an issue. Unfortunately we had little sleep as our room appeared to be above a service entrance with hotel staff coming and going all night - unloading vehicles, banging doors and talking quite loudly. When that was not happening other doors were being banged all night and it sounded as though furniture was being pushed around in the room above us. There is no gainsaying the convenience of this Sheraton Hotel for fying in and out of Heathrow. I spent two night's here, one in December before flying to Australia and one on my return before travelling on home. My first stay was inconveniened by the repairs/refurbishment going on at the time. The fron of the hotel was completely blocked off and alal […] entrance/exit was by the rear. Not a problem in itself but the limited reception by tiresome, especially with q quie of up to ten people at check in and chech out. I found the room cold and the heating adjustments did not seem to make much difference. The most irritating thing was was the shambolic waitering in the restaurant. It took nearly two hours to have a simple two course meal- possibly also exacerbated by a shortage of kitchen staff. My night on return was much better on all count. The was open again with a new multi desk reception, which would have been able to cope with up to 5 people, had there been 5 on duty. I would use it again for fying to and from Heathrow Mehr

I only stayed one night but the staff where very pleasant and helpful.They are refurbishing at the momnet and this can cause some confusion. As the entrance to the hotel is not easy to find.I really like this because I booked my car hire htrough thrifty which was located in the hotel so I was able to check in and put my luggage in my room which made […] this a lot easier when you are travelling with a three year old. Room service was good but the pay as you watch films are expensive. Overall my stay was pleasant. If you need to get to any of the 4 I suggested you rent a taxi I used a company who were very reasonable 15 pounds. they pick me and also helped at the airport. Mehr

Overall the room & the location were good. Room was clean & comfortable. Place is undergoing renovations and you have to enter through the trade entrance at the rear. Not really up to the level you'd expect from the Sheraton brand and it is being extensively renovated. It may be better when the construction is finished.

The Sheraton at Heathrow was a real disappointment. First, we had to pay for a Hoppa bus to and from the airport because the local bus wasn't easy to get to. We had stayed at another Heathrow hotel earlier and had no problem with the free local buses. Then our room was next to the elevator and was super noisy. The bed was not all that comfy. The breakfast […] was way overpriced with a lousy selection of cold meats and hard rolls. Lastly, they are remodeling the hotel and we could hear the construction crews early in the morning. The Sheraton Heathrow remains a good stop coming in or out of Heathrow Airport. However, travelers should be aware that extensive renovation is underway. The hotel has a temporary reception and bar area.

A two nights stay proved to be the cheapest in the area at the time but was probably only due to renovation work being carried out. The room was a double-bed room although plenty of room for larger bed (queen) so I don't know why it was so small. The room was located on ground floor and facing an internal courtyard so was quiet even though near the […] end of Heathrow's main runway and having a cracked window. Heating in the hotel was very efficient and I had to turn it off in the room and open the window to cool it down. Considering the price of the room it was in reasonable condition and I give it 3 stars. In room tea and coffee is provided as is a minibar. Be aware of the prices. They charge GBP3 PLUS GBP1 donation to charity (approx US$6.50) for an airline sized can of soda. Use the petrol/gas station opposite for drinks including alcohol. This is next door to a convenient McDonalds too so transport for basic items is not necessary. I was using a rental car and it was a nightmare to park but again this was due to building work. Once these are complete the barriers will be down at which time a charge of GBP12.50 per night will be added to your bill. The location is on a local bus route with busses running between Slough, Heathrow and Hounslow. Direct busses to Heathrow terminals run frequently at a charges of GBP4 per person. Consider using a taxi for a group or family or utilising the local busses for free. There were four computer terminals to use by guests for free. These had internet connectivity and applications available such as Skype, MS Office etc. Using your own laptop was free for 45 mins per day before charges were made. This is a good deal compared to other hotels in the area. Overall, I would use the hotel again at these rates The only downsides were; the mattress it was older and sagged in all directions and that there is no power socket next to the bed so if using medical equipment or just charging a phone then an extension lead would be necessary. The hotel is under renovation so they have a makeshift registration desk and lobby. We had a "Club Room" which was adequate. The Club Room private reception room had snacks that were not particularly good and they were out of water when we visited. The full breakfast was extensive and good but not great. The Sheraton Heathrow near London was probably once a really nice place, but it had seen better days. The interior had a lot of maintenance issues and the Hotel entrance was being renovated and was inaccessible. Entry was through the back door and a maze of hallways. The staff was helpful and courteous and the food was ok. Internet access was a bit […] pricey and sold by the day only. All the amenities were obviously set up to extract extra money from the guest.. This was an unplanned layover on New Year's Eve and This hotel was near the airport and the most affordable, but one night here cost more than 3 nights in Rome during Christmas. Mehr

I've stayed during a period of refurbishment but it still with all comodities available.

The Sheraton is a great location for those transiting at Heathrow, being convenient to all terminals. Renovations have just begun in this large hotel. It was hard to find reception which is now at the back, traffic flows in the opposite direction to the arrows on the driveway and the signs showing the change are small and hard to see. The temporary […] reception is tiny. The reception people provide friendly but slow service in a challenging environment. There were always queues at reception while we were there. Despite the downsides the price was excellent and overall it is good value for money. Mehr

Heathrow Sheraton was reasonably priced but restaurant was a bit pricey. I asked about others in the general area but was told nothing available. The next morning I was told I would have to roll my luggage from the back up to the front of the hotel to catch a shuttle. This was because of the work being done on the parking lot drive. Barring emergency paving something should have been done to accommodate guests catching the shuttle Bathroom appeared very clean except for black stains on bathtub grout(Black mold?) Always stay at this Sheraton when Flying from Heathrow--however this visit was marred by serious construction / refurbishment. A confusing check-in ,people everywhere jockeying for service in the cramped temporary Reception area .Managed our luggage ourselves and again next morning. Unable to shower--water cold-- was a bad start to our long flight to […] Mumbai. Complaints to girl on reception-- a waste of time. The hotel was being refurbished which was not reflected in the booking. Was not happy after coming off a very late night flight.

Whilst acknowledge the need for renovation It would have been nice to have been told this hotel was a building site. We came through a cold corridor and waited ages to check in. This was not the relaxing stay we had hoped for Thankfully we had on ok room but that's all so not likely to go back....

The hotel was under regeneration when i was there but they still managed to give a delightful stay with a great value. I would highly recommend.

There were a lot of alterations going on which meant it was a long distance to room from Reception. Surprisingly there was a broken bed and kight in our room but the maintenance staff repaired everything inside an hour. The buffet dinner was tasty The porter staff were brilliant at all times of day and night

Does not look good when arrivinh and hard to find the entrance but room was in good condition and comfortable. Not a luxury hotel but room service was extremely quick and good.

Intending guests should be aware that major refurbishment is underway at this hotel. The whole front reception area is closed off and a temporary entrance is located at the rear.
