The Westin O'Hare - Chicago

i was in and out of o'hare for a short business trip and the westin was clean, attractive and well-maintained with very friendly staff - high quality all around.

Everything was nice about the hotel and room except the tub was dirty. It looked like it had backed up and left a bunch of dirt and grime. When water was turned on in the tub, it drained very slow.

the beds a very comfortable,the employ's insure that we have a great time.

Very comfortable room and a good rate. You do have to pay extra for parking which I felt was at an outrageous fare. But it is Chicago and I suppose that should be expected.

Stayed one night in mid August and another in late October, 2011. Very convenient to O'Hare airport (though we heard no aircraft). Very nice accommodations, good restaurant (but can only vouch for breakfast), helpful staff. Block away from McDonalds, good pizza and at least 1 good (and pricey) restaurant. This hotel is outdated, not maintained, has a dirty feel, room was too hot and could not be controlled, none of the nice details expected at a Westin/nicer hotel. Huge hassle factor with keys not working, horrible and slow room service food, lack of cleanliness all around. There are other, much nicer hotels nearby this location to check out.

Nice hotel, comfortable

The room was really clean and the bed was really soft. The only problelm I found was that the furniture looked worn. The hotel lobby & pool was nice. I didn't like that you had to pay for parking & that the shuttle only took you to the airport and not the blue line train that was on the way. I also didn't like that there was no fridge in the room. If you don't mind paying 25.00 a night for parking this is a wonderful hotel to stay at. We even got a green coupon for not having a maid come in on our second day which was worth a whole 45 bucks but there was nothing that i could use the $5 for as we didn't eat at the restuarant and it's no good towards any alcohol so was it wort not having maid service […] for the night? Great hotel! Close to the blue line metro, but really far from downtown Chicago. Great staff!

Not happy...I pre-paid for parking and was charged an extra $49 when I left the parking lot.

The hotel is pretty and in a great location. The personnel was not exactly warm, but not mean or rude either. The rooms were very clean, which is the most important factor in my choosing a hotel. The beds were not very comfortable and had too few pillows. Drinks at the bar were WAY expensive and you have to pay for parking as well.

The Bartender - Joey - is one of the best. I had not been back to the hotel for several months and he new exactly what I was having when I walked in the bar. Provides great, friendly service and would recommend staying at this hotel AND visiting the Benchmark.

close to airport, convenient shuttle service. Staff friendly.

This hotel is a lovely property but I have to say the front desk staff was extremely pleasant. Smiles that seemed truly genuine and not fake.

Would not rate this hotel as a 4 star! needs some serious maintenecnce and new carpeting. mimi fridge in room was empty and not working. carpets are smelly and there are stains all over. Free Shuttle to/from airport is about the best thing about this hotel. Restaurant prices are overpriced.

The Hotel was nice but the room was a lttle basic for my expectations. The toile was not flushed when I went in which turned me off a little. Other than that everything was ok but did expect a little more far a Westin.

staff at reception desk was not courtious . Never received welcome and thank you at the end. It was my first time at the westin and probably last.

A short walk from the blue line train and very close to restaurants like Giordano's, the location is convenient for those using O'Hare. The staff could not have been nicer. The rooms are clean and modern.

The price and the stay was great. Only thing was the bathroom door didn't lock and when they cleaned our room, they never refilled the coffee and cups. We had to call twice cause first time, came with coffee without cups. In the end, still happy

Great choice for your Chicago stay, close to inter city public transport. Relaxing and comfortable - great bedding/mattress. Only down side was parking charges even though the hotel is not downtown.

I needed to be close to the train station and the Westin is only about a 2 block walk to the Rosemont blue line stop. My room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. Room service was beyond what I expected. Large quantity of food and very good. Staff was very friendly. I would stay here again.

We stayed at the Westin prior to a flight to O'Hara. The shuttle was nice even at 3:00 am in the morning. The room was very nice and spacious. We ate at the restaurant onsite which was very nice also. Would recommend.

This was a family trip to Chicago to relax and see the sights. I did not want to drive downtown Chicago and fight traffic and parking headaches. Looked for a hotel in the O'Hare area with easy access to public transportation, and I could not have picked a better place to stay. This Westin Hotel is easy to drive to traffic wise and only 2 blocks to the […] Rosemont train station, where a transit pass allows unlimited train and bus transfers to anywhere in Chicago. This hotel was excellent in every way, personnel, clean, very modern to upscale, and better priced than downtown hotels. Would stay here again. Mehr

Is really close to O'Hare, but nothing really within walking distance. Also, no Ipod dock alarm clock. Otherwise, was clean, and the gym and pool were nice. Internet in the room was pricey as was the restaurant.

Hotel was smoke-free, yet room smelled of old smoke. To be very blunt-the room stunk! Upon opening the door to the room, the bed looked as if someone had been laying on it just before we arrived. The covers were sunken in and somewhat wrinkled. Every item or service from the hotel had a price tag on it. Anywhere from internet service being a charge […] in the rooms to a basic bottle of water costing $4!!!! For a hotel which is a four star hotel, I know of two star hotels with better quality rooms. :( Mehr

Pros - The bed and room layout was nice. Gym was fully equipped. Cons - Some of the towels were old, grungy, off white and very noticeable against the towels that were white. Went to the coffeeshop in hotel in the morning and server was super rude and made rude comments about how crowded it was due to the Salsa Congress. The hotel does not clean the rooms every day. The sheets were never changed and we stayed 4 nights. The towels were left in the bathroom and the used glasses were never removed or replaced with clean ones. The choices of TV were very limited. The hotel seemed to service seminars and conferences much more than travelers that were staying for other reasons. […] Parking is very expensive and not easy to access. Only one central elevator that is far from the parking and most of the rooms. Mehr

Hotel experience was great. Only caveat was that I was not aware of the $25 a day parking charge.

We wanted to spend 2 days in Chicago but not break the bank. We chose the Westin O'Hare since it is literally across the street from the EL Blue Line station. This location was also about $100 less expensive than the Downtown Chicago location. Saved money and had a lovely stay.

Nice place but not sure it is worth the premium price you pay. Never got the wireless internet to work. Booked room for four but was charged a premium for each additonal person over two. Still had to "pull teeth" to get the additional towels and coffee for the other two people. Have to pay for parking too. Very nice employess and within easy walking […] distance of Metro station. This is the worst experiance I have ever had with a hotel. I would not recommend staying here to my dog.

Very nice hotel. Comfortable atmophere, a couple computers for internet access, and nice view. Our refrigerator didnt work for some reason and couldn't be replaced at the time. Other than this, it was a very pleasant stay.

I would not recommend staying at the Westin O'Hare. When we arrived we were immediately swamped by a conference going on at the hotel, and could hardly find the front desk. The receptionist was not familiar with the room package we had purchased. I ended up getting charged an extra $50 for something (when I called to have it taken off this morning, […] the "computers were down" so I have to call back later today). The restaurant was overpriced, even for hotel food. The parking we had prepaid was apparantly free. The outside deck by the pool was an uneven concrete rooftop overlooking the highway with 3 lounge chairs on it. Calling this a four-star hotel is defeinitely a stretch. Mehr
