The Westin Edmonton - Edmonton

We were pleasantly surprised! What an amazing price. The hotel room was immaculate. The kids enjoyed drinking their water out of real wine glasses. The flat screen tv moved out and turned. Will definitely return and recommend.

Great service, very comfortable room, excellent staff. Parking 36 per night, 10 bucks for wifi and 18.50 for a bowl of oatmeal was a little much. For 36 bucks I really shouldn't have to park my own car. Money aside it's a great hotel though. Really couldn't be any better minus the price of the extras.

The Westin Edmonton is not like other Westin's. The Hotel rooms are quite dated and they have tried to update with typical Westin furniture. The shower was horrible, absolutely no water pressure or hot water. I would not recommend this hotel and am disappointed as it was not up to the standards of other Westin hotels

Was happy with the room but parking was not good as they decided to clean parking and forced us to park blocks away at our expense of 30 dollars...who closes parking on a weekend? Was not happy as being in a nice hotel there was no free wifi as there would be in a normal hotel!

I have never seen the TV on the side of a bed. So awkward to watch TV and be comfortable at the same time. :$

Nice Hotel, clean and great rooms for a great rate. BUT, what you save in your room cost you pay through the nose for parking and room service. So if you don't have to park or eat stay here.

Great location, staff are very accomodating. our vehicle was supposed to have been parked underground and was not. When I brought it to their attention we rec'd a full refund immediately. Well kept, renovated, very clean.

I've stayed at the Westin a few times and its one of the best hotels in downtown Edmonton. Pro Super comfy beds Easy checkout free coffee Location Cons Valet parking is outside? Expensive bfast Tiny lounge Rooms vary in greatly in price for the same room with no real reason for it

The quality of this hotel is high. Very comfortable rooms and location is perfect for downtown activities. Citadel theatre, lots of restaurant options, and shopping within a couple blocks. The only drawbacks are that parking is quite expensive ($30 per night) and there was no mini bar or vending machines when we wanted a late night snack.

At first, the hotel checkin seemed reluctant to accomodate our room preferences, but eventually gave in. It was a strange experience. Overall, hotel is very comfortable and location was great for our downtown needs. Easy walking distance to the convention centre, mall and movie theatre with lots of interest restaurants close by.

We stayed at this hotel for my husband's birthday for 1 night knowing its the highest rated hotel, but I was disappointed at the overall experience. Our room keys did not work twice, the furnace in our room was too noisy, air was too dry, and bath tub was stained pretty badly. This hotel needs a reno!!!

the room was good but... it could use a humidifier. it got really dry during the night. Also, the position of the bed relative to the TV didn't make sense. We had to turn to our side in order to view the TV. We were tempted to move the bed around so that we could watch TV comfortably from our bed. Furthermore, there was only one box of "kleenex" in […] the room. There should be one in the bathroom and one beside the bed. Lastly, there was only one night end table beside the bed. The hotel had direct access to an underground Pedway to an LRT station & many surrounding venues such as the Citadel Theatre. Everyone from the front desk staff, doormen, dining room and gift shop employyes were friendly & helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Edmonton. I was surprised to see this hotel come up under 'pet friendly' but they really are! We took our two dogs for the night and were delighted that our room was a well cared for and decorated and CLEAN as any other room we had stayed in without our dogs. *often pet friendly means the old worn out rooms that smell of, well, dog!' Restaurant was great, a lovely […] atmosphere through out the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaint? Paying $ for wi-fi.when the customer service agent with hotels.com advised me it was free. I cannot understand in this day and age how a hotel can charge each guest for a service like wifi. Our latest stay at the Westin Hotel iin Edmonton was a bit dissappointing The hotel, once the standard to which other hotels were measured, was lacking in the details and finesse we expected especially for the holiday season. The hotel definitely needs a renovation, it is looking quite tired. The hallway walls are all banged up. There was a hanger for a bathrobe in the bathroom but no robe. There was a price list for the mini bar but no items in the mini bar. The TV was not at the foot of the bed like most hotel rooms, it was off to the left side of the bed. The last thing […] was that the bathroom was very dark. The doormen were there but not that helpful. The restaurant feels like you are in the lobby because it is so exposed to the front doors. Mehr

Great location and beautiful rooms, however they charged my card an additional $40 compared to what hotels.com had quoted. Other than that, great time.

My wife and I enjoy staying at the Westin because of the comfortable beds and amenities in the room. The staff are very courteous and friendly and if you happen to be in town for business it is nice to grab some starbucks coffee before you head out the door. Westin Edmonton downtown usually has some pretty good rates on the weekends so its worh checking […] out. Mehr

The Westin Edmonton has maintained its high standards over the years. They still provide nice glassware and quality toiletries in the room. Towels were plushl. The morning paper is ready for you when you wake up in the morning . . . a nice touch. A choice of several herbal teas also are provided in the lobby as you check out or leave for the day. Very handy to mall Arts Convention centre and manu great restaurants!

My husband and I came up for a romantic Eskie weekend getaway, it was awesome! The room was gorgeous, we had the cutest friendliest little bellman who took care of us, super value for the price. We hopped on the LRT to the Commonwealth stadium, had drinks in our hands and at our seats in 14 minutes flat! It was so great! We were so happy...and the Esks […] won to boot! Mehr

This is luxury at it's best, I loved staying at this hotel. Great people with good service. Very pricey food and drinks but that is pretty standard with all hotels

our recent stay at the Westin in Edmoonton was a mixture of feelings. We requested a room with a city view and had a room with no view at all except the hallway of the hotel. Very disappointed in that. |The other issue was the beds are very tiny, it said queen, but they were more like a double. Otherwise that, the stay was nice

On our recent visit, we could see the quality of the hotel has gone down signficantly. The room was not made when we came back in the evening and we could not phone down because the phone was out of order! Prior to going up to the room we had tried to arrange to stay a third night, but the front desk was not helpful. They would not honor the online […] rate for another night and quoted full price, and did not show any consideration in trying to get us another night. Once we saw the condition of the room, then we contacted the Metterra Hotel who gave us a much lower rate. In the end we should have stayed at the Met for our entire stay - great room, good rate, FREE valet parking and excellent service (and wine and cheese hour during the week!). Mehr

We had a great stay. Convenient location. There is no where to park for no cost but there is an underground parkade. The rooms were just an average room but clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The person I was with had breakfast at the hotel and it was VERY expensive for what she had.

This hotel was a great location, and had everything you need around it! .... but a couple of issues we had were 1-- $30/day parking.... you're not guaranteed an underground stall. One of the two nights we stayed, had to park 2 blocks away at another designated lot and walk to our hotel. 2-- Another was the $30 breakfast buffet, which was definitely […] overpriced for the quality / amount of food.. I know some hotel chains include breakfast in their price,It is quite disappointing that the Westin doesn't. But there is a Subway around the corner. 3- If you decline room service, you are supposed to get a $5 voucher towards the restaurant or bar. If you decline the newspaper, they are supposed to credit you. We never saw the credits, or never received a $5 voucher.. Perks: Clean hotel, amazing staff, nice location, and some celebrity sightings in the lobby! I would stay here again, but research were I can park cheaper near by, and find a restaurant that serves breakfast for a cheaper price. Stay here for a simple clean hotel! Mehr

The Starwood reputation for quality lives here. Fantastic location near City Hall - good food - great staff service. Only downside was a parking "squeeze" for this business guest on a Saturday where the hotel hosted a couple of wedding events - no problem though - plenty of connected, underground parking just across the street.

I'm a self-professed "bed-snob" and find few better than those at the Westin when I'm travelling. My wife and I decided to extend our stay by an extra night, despite no great deals to be had, because we found the hotel to be so comfortable. Breakfast table is a very well done option if you have the time to enjoy.

Over all I had a very good experience at the hotel, the room was comfy, the employees were all welcoming the only issue I had personally was the cost of parking at or around the hotel. If you aren't driving your own car this would be the perfect place to stay for a hotel. But parking is expensive.
