Hotels - Französisch Polynesien

Wir waren im Mai 2011 2x im Radisson Plaza. Vor Beginn unser Weiterreise nach Moorea und Bora-Bora und anschliessend noch 4 Tage zum relaxen. Die Anlage ist sehr schön. Der Hotelschuttle fährt nur um 8 und 14.00 Uhr nach Papeete rein. Der öffentliche Bus fährt in unmittelbarer Nähe ab und verkehrt regelmässig bis 17.00 Uhr. Den können wir nur empfehlen. Abends ist man aufgeschmissen und aufs Taxi angewiesen. Das ist der einzige negative Aspekt. Die Hotelverpflegung ist sehr teuer. Aber in 5 Gehminuten ist ein Laden erreichbar, wo man sich wunderbar verpflegen kann, günstig Wein kaufen kann und sehr nett bedient wird. Reelle Preise wie nirgends sonst auf Tahiti. Achtung, am Sonntag sind die Läden zu und die Busse fahren NICHT. Gar nicht!!!! "Unser" Laden hat von morgens 08.00-18.00 Uhr offen, am Samstag nur vormittags.

bei längeren aufenthalt ist ein leihwagen ratsam da die taxis sher teuer sind,und der öffentliche busverkehr ab 18uhr nicht mehr vorhanden ist

staff is lovely, but some services are just not what I expect for that price: - a hinge of the cupboard where the minibar is in broke the first day and you couldn´t close the cupboard anzmore firmly. I´d expect to have that fixed without giving them extra notice as during room cleaning they must have realized it as they replaced the used glasses with clean ones. - the towels for our privat pool have been collected but not replace until we asked two days later - if you wanted to to have pool towels or snorkeling equipement you better planed to wait for somebody for 5 to 15 minutes as the desk was often unattended - no transfer from airport of ferry included. as everybody must arrive either by ferry or plane I´actually would expect to have that included. it´s just like 20 bucks and it would ruine them but make a great first impression and differenciate them from other hotels. over all, the down sides are all minor ones but it kinda ads up, especially if you pay quite an amount for your stay
